411’s WWE NXT Report 11.11.15

November 11, 2015 | Posted by Kevin Pantoja

Welcome to this week’s NXT Report! This marks the one year anniversary of me doing these NXT reports for 411mania. Thank you to everyone who reads.

A recap is shown from last week’s NXT Title match. For those who don’t remember, Baron Corbin interrupted the match between Finn Balor and Apollo Crews. Samoa Joe then showed up and attacked Balor.

Tye Dillinger comes out for the opener. His opponents is Baron Corbin but Apollo Crews shows up and tackles him. Crews and Corbin brawl outside, with Crews being the aggressor. They fight inside where Corbin levels him, only for Crews to bounce off the ropes and take him down. Baron is forced to retreat up the ramp.

Alexa Bliss, Blake and Murphy vs. Bayley and the Hype Bros.

Corey Graves on the Hype Bros: I think we could describe this team in one word; stupid. Ryder leads the crowd in some “woos”. Then Alexa gets tagged and instantly wants Bayley. They lock up and the crowd is red hot. They chant “HEY WE WANT SOME BAYLEY” to the “HEY WE WANT SOME NEW DAY” chants. Bayley works a headlock takeover. Alexa comes back and slams Bayley into the turnbuckle but Bayley shakes it off and shouts “YOU AIN’T HYPE” before driving Alexa head first into them a bunch. Alexa runs and tags out heading into the commercial. Returning, Mojo Rawley is in control and tags Zack Ryder. Graves continues to flame them on commentary. Ryder gets a near fall and slams Blake into the corner. Blake sends him in and charges but eats knees. Ryder goes up but a distraction allows him to get pulled off the top. Blake and Murphy tag in and out to wear down Ryder. He gets sent into the corner hard for two. A relatively hot tag comes to Mojo. He hits a corner splash on Blake and a big slam on Murphy but Alexa breaks the pin. Bayley runs in and knocks her outside. Alexa grabs the Women’s Title and backs up the ramp with it, leaving. Bayley wants to follow but is held back by the official. She breaks up a dirty pin and gets cornered by Blake and Murphy. Bayley hits the Bayley to Belly on Murphy and gives chase to Alexa. The Hype Bros finish off Murphy with the super Rough Ryder.

Winner: Bayley and the Hype Bros in 9:09

Relatively fun match here. Bayley was a blast and the crowd was hot. The heat worked on Ryder was a drag but outside of that, this was fine. **1/2

The Ascension appear backstage to accept the challenge laid down by Chad Gable and Jason Jordan last week.

Nia Jax is walking backstage when Eva Marie comes up to her. They move to talk in private.

Asuka made the cover of a Japanese magazine.

Apollo Crews and his ripped shirt are interviewed backstage. Apollo says that Baron seems mad that Apollo eliminated him from the battle royal. He says that Baron got his attention.

Nia Jax vs. Deona

Deona does her best to use her speed but gets caught. Nia Jax plants her with a Samoan drop. She follows with a headbutt and seems to be enjoying the squash. She hits the Umaga running ass attack in the corner, or as Michael Cole would say “SHADES OF RIKISHI!” Jax wins following a leg drop.

Winner: Nia Jax in 1:46

If I have to watch Nia Jax, I like it to be this short.

Next week, Carmella takes on Nia Jax.

We are shown footage of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder defeating the Vaudevillains during the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Bayley is still looking for Alexa Bliss backstage. She finds her doing a photoshoot with the belt and runs her off. Alexa drops the belt. Bayley goes to leave with it and runs into Nia Jax. Alexa hits her from behind and Nia picks up the belt.

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Vaudevillains (c) vs. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson

Scott Dawson begins with Aiden English. They have a quick exchange where Dawson gets a near fall. He tags Dash who runs into an arm wringer from Engliah and is then taken over with an arm drag. Tag to Gotch and they hit a DUKES UP double punch before another tag leads to a kick from English for two. A cheap shot from Dawson helps Dash get in control, only for Dawson to get tagged and also eat an arm drag. He stays in control until Dawson hits a chop block which commentary sells like it destroyed English’s knee. After a commercial, the challengers are just destroying the knee of English. Like an old school team, they cut the ring in half and just pick apart the knee. It’s pretty good to watch. English slips free and gets close to tagging but is cut off. Dawson uses a slingshot suplex for a near fall. Enligh gets free and again makes the hot tag. Gotch comes in with some odd moves like a weird double knee strike and headbutt. He plants Dawson with a back suplex. Tag back to English for the finish but he just gets chop blocked again. Dawson and Dash send Gotch into the steel steps outside. Inside, they hit the same move they did to Big Cass last week, which destroys the knee. Dawson applies a figure four variation and English taps.

Winners and New NXT Tag Team Champions: Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson in 9:01

Solid tag team match here. Dawson and Wilder used classic tag formula and they use it very well. The leg work was well done and this was just all well done. **3/4

Dash and Dawson cut a promo backstage about how they are the best tag team in wrestling and this proves it.

Next week, Gable and Jordan face the Ascension, while Bayley defends the Women’s Title against Alexa Bliss.

Samoa Joe comes out to explain his actions last week. He says that we are defined by two things, the choices we make and the actions we put behind them. He says that Finn asked him to be his partner in the Dusty Tag Team Classic. He made a choice and his actions backed it. He carried Finn Balor. Joe wanted Finn to do the right thing and he asked him for a shot. Finn agreed to the shot, but put no actions behind it. He just allowed William Regal to make Joe go through the battle royal, which Joe finds insulting because he is Samoa Joe. He says that he is entitled to a title match because of who he is. Finn Balor comes out but officials get in between them. They end up brawling and Joe ends up choking out Finn.
