411’s WWE NXT Report 11.25.15

Hell and welcome to another NXT Report.

The show opens with Michael Cole in the ring for a contract signing. He says that William Regal is away recovering  from surgery so he’s in charge. He makes Bayley vs. Eva Marie official for tonight. The contract signing is for the NXT Championship match at TakeOver: London between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. Finn is first to the ring. He says that he is going to kick Joe’s teeth down his throat. Cole brings out Samoa Joe who immediately signs the contract. Finn wants him to look him in the eyes, but Joe just walks off once he’s done. Finn angrily signs the contract. As Finn goes to leave, Samoa Joe runs back out and attacks him. They get in the ring, but Joe struggles to his feet and Balor dropkicks him. He then pounds away until officials have to pull them apart. Joe puts Balor in the rear naked choke and Finn passes out.

NXT Tag Team Championship: Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson (c) vs. The Vaudevillains

Before things start, we get reminded of what Dash and Dawson did to Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady last month. Dawson starts with Simon Gotch. They trade blows with Gotch knocking him down. Tag to Aiden who starts hot but runs into trouble when Dash gets in a cheap shot. Tag to Dash but Aiden is ready and takes him over with an arm drag. He backdrops Dash and kicks Dawson in the gut. Blind tag to Dawson who comes in with a single arm DDT. It looks like that’s the body part they are gonna work. Commercial. After the break, Dash is working the arm. Aiden gets a small opening and sends Dash outside. Both guys tag and Gotch comes in with his unique offense. He scores two on a sunset flip and again on a rollup. A leg hook belly to back suplex also gets a near fall. A distraction from Dash allows Dawson to clothesline him. Behind the official’s back they look for the Shatter Machine but it gets broken up. Gotch gets two on another rollup. Tag to Aiden and they try for the Whirling Dervish. Dawson blocks and goes for a move but Aiden counters that into a rollup for two. Aiden tries a sunset fiip but he doesn’t see the blind tag. This leads to the Shatter Machine.

Winners and Still NXT Tag Team Champions: Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson in 5:19

Decent tag team match here. Nothing great but it was fine for the time they got and about on par with the title change. **1/2

Their celebration is cut short by the return of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. The crowd goes nuts for their appearance. They attack the champions on the ramp before things move to the ring. They send Dash and Dawson packing.

Eva Marie is interviewed and is in William Regal’s office. Eva says that she’s there because she needed a bigger room to prepare for the match tonight. She says the match tonight was inevitable because she’s the hottest prospect in NXT. She has a part waiting in Regal’s office. She introduces her good friend, Nia Jax.

We get a recap of Asuka vs. Dana Brooke at TakeOver: Respect and the challenge Dana laid on her last week.

A vignette airs for Elias Sampson and his guitar. He sings over the vignette.

Asuka comes out for her match with Dana Brooke. Dana comes out with a microphone and says that she is gonna smack the smile off of Asuka’s face. While she talks, Emma comes out to blindside her. Asuka overcomes it though and kicks her down. She turns her back, allowing Emma to chop block her. Emma applies the Emmalock while Dana badmouths Asuka.

Bayley gets interviewed about her main event. Bayley says that Eva is pretty, the star of a reality show and she has the company backing her. Bayley says that the one difference is that she’s a wrestler and Eva isn’t. She high fives Tom Phillips before leaving.

A video package airs to promote Sami Zayn’s return! No return date is given though.

Apollo Crews vs. Jesse Sorensen

The fans sing Randy Orton’s old theme at Sorensen. Apollo leaps over him and hits a big dropkick. Apollo follows with a 21 second stalling suplex. Apollo continues to rule, hitting a corner splash. He hits a leaping clothesline and kips up. He ends it by hoisting Sorensen up for a back suplex but turns it into a massive powerbomb.

Winner: Apollo Crews in 2:04

A good old fashioned squash match. It worked because Apollo is so enjoyable to watch.

Apollo Crews gets on the microphone and accepts Baron Corbin’s challenge for TakeOver: London. He promises to lay Corbin down.

Baron Corbin is interviewed about Apollo accepting the challenge. Baron says that Apollo is a flash in the pan and the Apollo Nation falls in London.

Charles Robinson walks out to the ring. He was sent by corporate to make sure there is no controversy in the main event. It looks like they’re playing the “Eva has corporate backing her” angle.

Next week, Samoa Joe will face Tommaso Ciampa.

NXT Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Eva Marie w/ Nia Jax

“Heyy we want some Bayley” chants from the start. Bayley takes Eva over with a headlock. Eva counters into one of her own but Bayley turns it right back around. Eva takes a handful of hair and slams her down before doing a very awkward air guitar like taunt. She hits some shoulder thrusts in the corner and a club to the back. Eva does her one goo offensive move, the suplex, for two. Belly to Bayley is quickly hit and Nia Jax pulls the NXT referee out of the ring incredibly hard. Other NXT refs come to check on him. Eva rolls Bayley up and Charles Robinson comes into count for tow. Bayley talks to him about the other ref getting taken out. As Robinson has his back turned, Nia headbutts Bayley. Eva hits an ugly senton for two. Eva then wrenches her on the second rope and stomps on her. More shoulder thrusts in the corner. Bayley fights back nad rolls her up a few times for near falls. Bayley then nails a running clothesline. She hits a suplex of her own before firing away with shoulders in the corner. She goes for a back elbow and Robinson jumps in her way to block. Eva hits the Sliced Red but only gets two. Eva gets knocked into Robinson and he is taken out. Eva big boots Bayley to the ground. She taunts on the second rope but Bayley strikes her. She goes up and tries the Belly to Bayley but Nia pulls her out of the ring. Bayley then pulls Nia off the apron before going back in and hitting a second rope Bayley to Belly! The original ref returns to count the three.

Winner and Still NXT Women’s Champion: Bayley in 6:37

They booked this correctly. They used interference, smoke and mirrors and shenanigans to overcome Eva’s awfulness. Bayley did her best. **

Nia Jax attacks Bayley after the match and drops a leg on her.
