411’s WWE NXT Report 6.24.15

June 24, 2015 | Posted by Kevin Pantoja

Welcome to another NXT report.

The entire roster is out atop the stage as Triple H talks about Dusty Rhodes. They do a ten bell salute for him.

We are joined by Hideo Itami, in a sling and suit, as he comes to the ring. Craigh Hamilton interviews him about the injury and his promotional work for the NXT Title match in Japan. He will be at the 4th of July show and promises to challenge whoever wins. Kevin Owens interrupts to say that he will end Finn Balor in Japan. He stumbles over his words, but recovers by saying he sounds like Hideo trying to speak English. He says he didn’t attack Itami because if he did, Itami would be on the shelf with Sami Zayn. Also, he wants an apology from Hideo from calling him a bad person. Itami calls him a terrible human so Owens goes to attack. Out comes Balor to brawl with him in the aisle. Finn goes to dive off the stage onto him but Rhyno appears to lay him out.

Finn Balor vs. Rhyno is announced for the main event.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady w/ Carmella vs. Jason Jordan and Sylvester Lefort

Enzo kills on the mic as always, but Cass says a terrible line about current movies in theaters. Enzo starts quick with a cross body on Lefort. These two wrestled on a TakeOver last year. Cass comes in and slams him before slamming Enzo onto Lefort for two. Jason Jordan tags in and slams Enzo. Lefort and Jordan now work Enzo over for a bit. I expect a hot tag but Enzo steals it with a rollup.

Winners: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady in 2:34

After a short recap of the Kevin Owens/Samoa Joe match last week, we see a backstage interview with Joe from after the match. He was pissed because he didn’t get the fight he wanted because Owens is still walking.

Dana Brooke w/ Emma vs. Cassie

Dana works a wristlock and pats Cassie on the head. She counters and pats her back. Dana turns things around again with a middle rope snapmare. Emma honestly looks bored at ringside. She hits a body slam and awkwardly covers for two. Dana moves to a bow and arrow like move until Cassie gets free and hits a spin kick in the corner. Dana is able to hit her finisher anyway to win.

Winner: Dana Brooke in 3:32

Devin Taylor interviews Charlotte about Dana Brooke. Charlotte says that no door was opened for her except one of opportunity. She basically says she’s going to kick Dana Brooke’s ass.

We go to part two of the special look at Finn Balor. We see that he enjoys building Legos. Sami Zayn is with him as he does this. He says that he used to build them while watching SummerSlam 95, which is his favorite PPV. Yikes. Jason Albert talks about meeting him. They seem like they are good friends. We see a fair amount of Karl Anderson and clips from his time as Prince Devitt.

Bull Dempsey has been told to get in shape by William Regal. Instagram photos are shown of him not really doing anything about it.

The Hype Bros vs. Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton

Mojo starts with Angelo, saying “HE AIN’T HYPE” a few times. Mojo tkaes him down before we get tag outs. He sends Ryder into Fulton, who sends him back in for a clothesline. He does his awkward “hammer” dance before some punches in the corner. Dawkins and Fulton work the Charlie Haas/Shelton Benjamin double team move, but Mojo tags Ryder. He comes in hype, pun intended, and reels off some offense. Broski Boot hits but Fulton breaks the pin. Ryder drives double knees into Dawkins leading to the assisted Rough Ryder finish.

Winners: Hype Bros in 4:00

Backstage, William Regal is greeted by Eva Marie. She talks about the hard work she’s been doing lately and she wants a match against one of the women in NXT. Regal tells her that she can’t use her charm to get a shot. He wants to see proof of her work first.

Finn Balor vs. Rhyno

Kevin Owens joins commentary. These two start aggressively and trade blows in the middle of the ring. Finn gets the upper hand in the corner, driving Rhyno’s head into it. He knocks Rhyno outside and dives outside onto him. Owens is phenomenal on commentary. Balor gets two inside. Rhyno takes over and pounds away on him, while Owens runs down Rich Brennan and Byron Saxton. Rhyno goes to a bearhug for the commercial. Returning, Balor hits a missile dropkick for two. Owens says that he’s been to Japan before and he hates it. Balor hits another dropkick for two. Rhyno gets in some more offense and near falls. Balor nails the Pele but it doesn’t drop Rhyno. He goes up top but eats a kick. As Finn goes up for the double stomp, Owens gets off commentary to distract him. Balor dropkicks him off the apron, but turns around into a belly to belly suplex. He attempts the Gore but eats a kick. Slingblade connects and Balor goes up, hitting the double stomp for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Finn Balor in 8:37

Kevin Owens attacks instantly after the bell, pounding away on Finn Balor. Rhyno and Owens double team Finn until Samoa Joe runs out to clear the ring and make the save.
