411’s LIVE WWE RAW Report 1.19.15

RAW!
IS!
ROYAL!!

The show starts with a dream. We hold these truths to be self evident, you know.

A great video package on MLK. Hashtag KeepTheDreamAlive
It shows a number of black citizens that have made a difference from Rosa Parks to Jesse Owens and Muhammad Ali. Keep the Dream Alive, y’all.

Good shit.

We’ve got a rare treat, as my little brother is at the house, and he’s already talked about how he hopes The Big Show doesn’t get screwed. If he says anything worth while, I’ll let you know but he’s pretty boring…

The Beast Incarnate is here! Well, his music is. No, wait, so is he!!

Heyman is about to talk, but Brock cuts him off. He grabs the mic and says he is here to fight, baby. That’s right, when Brock shows up, it’s business time. He calls out Rollins, says he has 10 seconds to get his weasely ass out here.

Instead of Seth, we get the music of Triple H. Triple H is out solo. Trips says he gets it; they’re upset. He understands why they are upset. Seth Rollins embarrassed them last week, curb stomping his head into the ground. He gets it. The thing is, wouldn’t Brock have done the same thing? H seems to recall Brock suplexing Rollins first, so maybe it’s understandable what Rollins did. Maybe everyone should calm down, go in the back, get him a nice steak while Heyman and H talks about this like business men, and put it behind them.

Brock wants to know if Triple H is here to fix this or to fight. Heyman tries to stop him, calling Triple H our meal ticket. “He pays the bills, Brock!” haha.

Steph’s music hits. She, Kane and Big Show head out. She tells Brock this is not what he wants to be doing, not right now. She tells him to think about this. Kane and Show stand behind Triple H. Steph tells Heyman to speak reason to Brock. Brock and Heyman are in the corner. Brock isn’t showing fear. Brock eyeballs The Authority, looking like he wants to fight. He has his back to the ramp.

Rollins shows up on the tron! He says Brock’s name a number of times then says that he is always just two steps behind. He tells Brock that he’ll get Seth’s shot at him right before he takes his title at the Rumble. Heyman says that this will be between the adults, if Seth doesn’t mind – and even if he does. Heyman tells Triple H to put a leash on his puppy before Brock fixes this all by himself. If Triple H fixes it, Brock can be happy, but if Brock fixes it, there will be a lot of bodies and that’s worst for business. Regardless, what you’ll hear come the Rumble is that Brock is still the champ—-

John Cena is here to bring the bore! Cena’s got a new color! Think Tropical Skittles. Cena tells Seth to shut up. He says this Sunday, they’re going to settle it. He came out to talk to The Authority. They once asked him to join them, and he said hell no. They concocted a great plan to get rid of Cena. That’s why Brock is here and that’s why they try every week to break his spirits and force him to quit. He just wanted to come out face to face and tell them to keep it up because everything they say and do lights a fire in him like he has never had before. A fire that makes sure he never gives up and he’ll take it to the Rumble and say The Champ is Here.

Steph is not impressed.

Cena says they have no fire, they just use their false sense of authority (actually, it’s not false, Cena…). He brings up the three superstars that were fired. He says that Triple H is now nothing but a pile of ashes. Two big pits of ashes. He namedrops Dallas. He calls Steph and Triple H the world’s biggest ash-holes. See what he did there? Music drops and Cena looks to exit.

Steph isn’t done. She tells Cena to come back. She wants to savor this moment because it’s the turning point in Cena’s career. He used to be the man who inspired and overcame odds. That’s who John Cena used to be, but that’s not who he is today. Cena is the man who personally lied to each and every one of us by bringing The Authority back. He can talk all he wants about how much he doesn’t like us, including the corny little jokes, but they are here because of him and he is responsible for those three men getting fired. It’s all on Cena. It’s time to look in the mirror – no one wants to see him win, no one wants to cheer him. He’s not the man he used to be.

Rollins on the screen calls Cena a loser. haha. He says Cena is a failure. Last week, Cena failed to get his friend’s their job back and this Sunday, Cena will fail again. Everyone knows it. Cena’s time is up, and he should just step away. Rollins stumbles a little over his words saying Cena should tuck his legs, to which Cena calls him out on. Cena says it’s about respect, and when he beats Brock and Seth, they don’t have to like him, but they will respect him. So this is about respect now?

Cena gets all Denzel on them and says that WHEN Cena wins the title at the Rumble, Ryback, Dolph and Rowan get their jobs back. Triple H says that Cena already had that opportunity last week, and he failed. So here’s the thing; Triple H is inclined to work with Cena to get their jobs back, but Cena needs to put something on the line. Cena says “what do I gotta do?”

Tonight, there will be a match. If he wins, all three will get their job back, but if Cena loses, Cena’s spot in the Triple Threat is gone. Triple H decides that he will not leave this choice up to Cena, but will leave it to the Universe.

Do they want to see Cena fight, put it on the line, and risk it all to get those three hired back, or do they know that he’s a failure. A simple Yes or No.

Yes, let’s “truly” find out what the Universe thinks of John Cena.

Michael Cole shows us how to download the WWE App on an Android. I hope King is watching.

Match 1: Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt
Lockup to start! Bray gets Bryan in the corner. Wyatt with a hard right hand to the chin. Stomps to Bryan. Wyatt whips Bryan, Bryan stops midrun and kicks Bray, then hits a knee to the midsection. Bryan goes for a kick, but Bray ducks and rolls out of the ring…Bryan with a kick between the ropes, then Bryan heads up top! Sloppy crossbody to Wyatt! Wyatt is down! Bryan shouts Yes! then Kane’s music hits and here’s the dentist we all know and love. He’s suited and booted.

Back, and Wyatt has Bryan in the corner. Nobody puts Bryan in the corner. Bray goes for a splash, but Bryan hits a drop toe hold, and Wyatt falls forward. Bryan up top. He is about to dive, but Wyatt is up and gives him a hard right, knocking him down and to the outside. The ref starts the count as Wyatt exits the ring. Wyatt sends Bryan back first into the barricade. Wyatt backs Bryan into the apron backfirst then rolls him in at 7. Wyatt with the cover for 1..2….NO! Wyatt cinches the shoulder. Bryan is able to stand, hits the ropes, but Wyatt crashes into him hard. Wyatt chokes Bryan up on the bottom rope. Bray with a slingshot into the rope then a choke as Cole says “Imagine Bryan being #1 in the Rumble.” ugh…

Wyatt drops an elbow in the middle of the ring and covers for 1..2..NO! Wyatt pinches the shoulders then headbutts the neck a few times. Choke hold from behind by Wyatt. Bryan tries to stand, but Wyatt drops him hard. He keeps the hold in. Bryan is able to escape it via a neck attack, runs the ropes and runs right into a HARD CLOTHESLINE!! Bryan flips in the freakin air!! Bryan rolls out of the ring, holding onto his neck as we get another commercial break.

Back from the break, and Wyatt gets an unsuccessful pin. During the break, Bryan hit the turnbuckle neck first. Bray whips Bryan into the corner, but Bryan flips over, ducks a clothesline, and hits one of his own. Bryan tries to Hulk up, but Wyatt is up in the corner. Bryan is up! He runs and hits the running dropkick to the face of Wyatt! Kicks to the chest of Wyatt with some Yes! chants in between! People are lovin Bryan. He hops up. Frankensteiner!! Pin for 1…2..NO!!! He pulls Bryan down, making Bryan hit the apron with his face! Kane tosses Bryan into the ring.

Wyatt sends Bryan into the turnbuckle face first!!! Wyatt sets up for Sister Abigail! He hits her! Pin! 1….2…3!!!
Official Result: Bray Wyatt
It’d be nice if Kane wasn’t the first feud Bryan has, but this didn’t take too much away from the match. Two commercials, however…
RATING: **1/2

After the match, Kane hits a chokeslam to Bryan! He mounts and starts layin in the right hands. The ref tries to stop him. Kane stands, straightens his tie, then looks down on Bryan. He decides he’s not done, and attacks with the right and left hands again. The ref tries to stop him. Kane points down at Bryan, who is grabbing his neck. Cole alludes to the match at Smackdown where if Bryan loses, he is out of the Royal Rumble.

We are reminded of the vote. Yes or No, should Cena risk his belt opportunity for the careers of three others. Ziggler tweets that fighting for his career is something that HE always does.

What do you think, Kane?

Trips is on the phone in the back when two senior citizens interrupt to tell him “Hey yo.” It’s Hall and Nash. They tell Trips it’s a sweet suit. They tell HHH to drop the suit and have a good night with them….ACTUALLY…it’s HBK. He says HHH should wait on the legend’s table. HBK calls Trips Vince Jr. Why not just bring all of Cena’s friends back and give them a hard time while they’re here. Triple H gets the suit jab, but it’s not like a Remington shirt. He doesn’t go to HBK and tell him how to kill defenseless animals…

Nash drops X-Pac’s name, and here comes Sandow!!! hahaha! He’s dressed like PAC!!! YASSSSS

Here’s the real X-Pac. They do the mirror trick. As they are to high five, Miz is here. He tells Sandow to go change. Miz holds up the fingers, but no one joins in. Nash wants to know what kind of show Triple H is running here. Triple H says he is ashamed. Ass.

==Commercial Break==

Hey, did you miss the first 20 minutes of RAW? Let’s sum it up in 20 seconds with a recap. There ya go.

Backstage, Cena is with Renee Young awaiting the decision from the Universe.

In the middle of the ring Byron Saxton is here to introduce the Legend’s Panel.

Hogan is excited
Flair is drunk
HBK is legend

Saxton first wants to talk about the poll on the app right now. Shawn breathes heavily in a joking manner. He simply states YES. Flair says NO. Hogan says “Definitely YES.” Ok….

Saxton switches to the Rumble, brings up Flair’s Rumble win and wonders if it’s still the greatest moment of his career. Granpappy Flair brings up him going the whole night “not the first time either” hahaha. Ol perv. Flair stands up and says men like HBK and Hogan, Taker, Piper, and the Macho Man were all in there. Flair says he’s coming home. awwww. But yes, one of the greatest nights of his career, and there’s nothing like winning the Rumble. Even in his rambling stupor, he still brings such levity.

Saxton talks to HBK like a fan, mentioning his foot dangling win. HBK says the Rumble is the epitome of what’s in the future. If you win, the future is Wrestlemania. He knows that them three would be nowhere with no Rumble. There would be no Mr. Wrestlemania without the Royal Rumble.

Saxton brings up Hogan winning two of the first four. What kind of memories does he have? Hogan remembers the competition. He remembers every man was as super talent fighting for their lives, and you never knew who was coming from behind. The bigger their name, the bigger the target. That’s what he remembers, and thank God for Hulkamania.

Saxton says there have only been 22 winners. Who is their pick for this year?

HBK: He’s decided he’s not the most conventional, he’s going for someone a little out there…someone not all there. Bray Wyatt. He thinks Wyatt has the focus.

Hogan: He disagrees, saying Wyatt’s not going to win.

HBK stands and says that Hogan always pushes him, needles him. He brings up Summerslam 2005. hahahha. Hogan says he doesn’t want any of that again. HBK says he’s probably right and sits back down. Hogan says there’s one man who has worked way too hard to get so far and NOT be in the main event come Mania. Daniel Bryan.

Flair: He likes a guy that goes on the wild side…He chooses Dean Ambrose!

The Big Show’s music hits! My brother is elated, and is now kneeled next to me, glued to the screen. Show comes down clapping. All three Legends move the chairs aside and get in defensive stance.

Show says wow, look what we have here: three Hall of Famers. Three Rumble winners. Three legends. Show doesn’t see Legends. “You Sold Out” chants. Show screams that he did it for his family! Hogan says that maybe Show can’t tell, but these people don’t want him out there. Show notices none of them three picked him, and he knows why…they’ve been jealous of Show. HBK seems to want to admit it a bit. haha. Show brings up his first night in WCW to Hogan and how he beat Hogan for the title. It haunts Hogan, doesn’t it? What about Flair? Remember when Show came on the scene? Flair was stylin and profilin, he was the man. Show was put in the Figure Four and Show reached up and chokeslammed him, and took him out of the top spot like THAT. He hates it, doesn’t he? Show then pinpoints HBK. It’s funny how when Show came on the scene, Show faded out of the picture because he knew that Show would eat him alive.

That’s the problem with all three of these guys. They’re washed up has-beens. Flair is bouncing on the ropes like he wants to beat that ass sooooo bad. Show is ashamed that they would come out and grovel for the acceptance of the fans. He wants to explain what will happen at the Rumble: he’s going to win. There is no one that can toss a 7 foot 450 lb giant over the top rope, so he’ll do a favor or them. He’s going to kindly ask them three to get out of his ring, go back to the old folk’s home, or he’s going to preview the Rumble right now.

Flair: “Are you done?” hahahaha.

Flair drops the jacket!!! Flair is rollin up the sleeves!!! Flair with the chop!!! Rights and lefts to Big Show!!! He hits the ropes! KO Punch to Flair!! Wow, that was hilarious.

Show blames us, says we made him do that. It’s our fault.

REIGNS !!! The music hits, and the crowd actually sounds excited! Reigns takes the steps through the crowd but he’s super serious. He hops over the apron, up the steps, and onto the apron. He checks on Flair then heads into the ring. Show is on the mic. He says that if Reigns steps in the ring, something bad is going to happen. He will knock Reigns out. He tells Reigns to get out of the ring. Reigns with a right hand. Another! Some more! He hits the ropes, ducks a clothesline, but Show grabs him! Chokeslam attempt, but Reigns hops out! Right hand! Clothesline to Big Show, sending him to the outside!!! Reigns stands tall as Show grabs his arm and heads up the ramp.

Backstage, Young is with Cena. We go to the Jeritron. The drumroll hits. Should he?

Yes —– 85%
No —– 14%
Fuck You, Cena —– 1%

Young wonders if fans voted this way because they’ve turned their backs on Cena? Cena says, some may have, but maybe some believe in him. He says it all the time; the most important part of the WWE is the Universe, and tonight they voted for him to fight knowing what was at stake. He wants to fight. He wants that match. Moments like this make a champion, and tonight we will realize that the champ is here.

Match 2 is next…Match 2?!?

A knee to the midsection is followed by a pin for 1…2.NO! Wade with a cravat from behind. Dean turns into it. Wade with an elbow to the neck. Kick to the face, right hand to the face. He flies off with an elbow to the standing Wade into a pin for 1…2..NO! Dean locks Wade’s arms in the ropes then hits a few rights and lefts. Dean runs, stops mid run and grabs the knee. It is noticeably bothering him. He pins for 1…2..NO! Wade up, shoves Ambrose, Ambrose bounces off the middle rope, and hits Wade hard. He goes to the top rope, but Wade hits the ropes with his body and Dean falls, crotching himself.

Wade looks for the Bull Hammer! Dean ducks!! Wade grabs Dean, looks for Wasteland, but Dean hops off the shoulders! DIRTY DEEDS!! Pin for 1…2….3!!!
