RAW
IS
….SAD

Read my column dedicated to AJ Lee…

I miss the first few minutes of the show, but honestly…who cares? AJ is gone.

We join RAW with Kane on the mic. He is interrupted relatively quickly by Randy Orton. Orton brings up “the most spectacular RKO of my career!” Orton lays some truth in the fact that he beat Rollins. Rollins says Orton’s problem is that Orton is a guy who always sees things like “glass half empty.” Seth detests nothing more than a whiny little complainer. Orton says he’s not complaining, he’s tellin it like it is. He deserves a shot at the title. So, how bout it, Director of Operations? Or, do we need a few minutes for Kane to call mommy and daddy? Oh, that’s fucked up Orton…

Kane takes offense to this, and demands respect. Kane says there are other stars worthy of consideration. So, Kane has decided on a Triple Threat. Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton vs Ryback. Furthermore, each of them will be in Singles Competition prior to their triple threat, and Orton’s match is next…against Kane. Rollins seems bothered by this decision, and J&J hold him back. Show leaves the ring with the minions and Seth, while Orton heads to the ring for some one on one action.

Match 1: Kane vs Randy Orton
Bell rings, and Orton kicks, then hits some right hands. Another kick and a push into a corner. Clothesline from Orton. Another into the corner. Orton with a whip but it’s reversed. Orton with a boot to Kane. Orton pulls Kane back into the corner and Orton hits a few rights. Kane turns and uppercuts Orton off the top rope, sending him to the mat as we go to break.

We return and Kane has Orton stuck in the corner with some uppercuts. Kane whips Orton into the corner and follows with a clothesline. Sidewalk slam into a pin for 1…2.NO! Kane beats Orton down some more and pins again for 1…2..NO! Both men up! Kane hits the ropes. POWERSLAM!! Orton gets ready, but Kane rolls to the apron. Orton takes advantage and sets up for the DDT. He hits it! Orton stands up, calls to the crowd. He hears em! Orton hears the voices! He is about to RKO, but Kane heads out of the ring real quick. From nowhere, Orton side clocks Kane on the outside.
Back suplex onto the barricade from Orton. Orton grabs a chair from the time keepers area and hits Orton swear in the gut to get the DQ.
Official Result: Randy Orton via DQ
Kane vs Orton. You’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it a thousand times.
Rating: *1/2

Kane sends Orton and the chair back into the ring. Kane waits for Orton. Chokeslam set up. He goes for it. Orton floats out! RKO attempt, but Kane is able to escape it, and roll out of the ring, leaving Orton standing in the ring.

Before the break, we are left with the great news of a Big Show vs Reigns match…oh joy.

-Commercial Break-

We return to the guys at the booth. They…no…damnit. They bring it up. They give props to AJ Lee and say thanks to her.

Backstage, Brad Maddox is with Kane. Damnit, did he show up in the opening of the show? Anyways, Seth rushes in and tells Kane that everyone seems to get that they are here to protect Seth, except Kane. Kane brings up Seth’s wino f the briefcase, and how that was all due to Kane. As DOO, it’s Kane’s job to have Seth face a viable opponent at Extreme Rules. Kane says maybe Orton is right, maybe Seth is scared. Seth says he’s not afraid of anyone, let alone Randy Orton. Seth is starting to think that Kane steps down as Director of Operations, and he thinks Steph and H would agree. Kane says that The Authority is on a private island, there is no cell or internet connection. So, Kane is in charge, whether Seth likes it or not. Seth says Kane will have a lot to answer for when they return. Kane says that he is in charge, and he’s going to do what’s best for business, and because of that, Seth is in a match….NEXT.
