PAYBACKFALLOUTSTUFFTHATREALLYDIDNTAMOUNTTOANYTHING!!!

In case you forgot, here’s Lana!

RAW Starts with a recap of the PPV, focusing on Reigns’ win and the McMahon’s shaking hands. They’re really riding this whole “New Era” thing.

And like any new era, we start with more of the same! Stephanie McMahon is here, announced as 1/2 of the power of Monday Night RAW.

Stephanie McMahons has a gift in hand, and it’s not her breasts. Steph is about to say “Welcome to Monday Night RAW,” but Shane’s music cuts her off, and the man with the Sneakers heads down the ramp. Steph offers him a mic. She says she doesn’t get it, but they definitely like Shane. Shane soaks it in. He then takes over the welcoming to RAW.

Steph says in the 7 years that he’s been gone, she learned how to get a lot accomplished in business, including being a good business partner. Last night, Vince made them both in charge. As a result, Stephanie has a peace offering. She hands over the bag to Shane, to show that she embraces this new partnership fully.

Shane wonders what the catch here is. He takes the gift out of the bag. It’s the photo of Vince and Shane that Vince dropped and stepped on a few weeks ago. Steph wanted to give it to him as a show of faith. In the spirit of partnership, what are Shane’s ideas for tonight’s show?

Shane is very moved by this gesture, and he instead wants to hear Steph’s ideas for tonight’s show. Steph says, how about we listen to the people; do they want Shane’s ideas or Steph’s ideas? The people have spoken, predictably, of course, but let’s go with Shane’s ideas.

Shane wants to —

Kevin Owens don’t care! He heads out to stop Shane’s announcement. He says this is lovely; such a lovely sight, to see brother and sister together on RAW. Yay! They’re getting along and everything, but here is the thing; Kevin has an idea. He wants a rematch for the IC Title, especially after last night when he decimated Sami Zayn, and proved to the world that HE is better than Sami. Now that this is done and over with, it’s time for Kevin to refocus. He wants his title rematch tonight.

Owens says after seeing the way Shane has been running RAW, he has no hope that Shane will do the right thing. Steph, though, is a smart business woman, and she knows what the right move is. Besides, it’s in his contract; he is owed a rematch, and has not had it yet. He is owed the match.

Before either McMahon can make a decision, Cesaro’s sirens hit, and he’s out here to fuck shit up. He had Miz beat last night; he had the champion tapping out. Unfortunately for him, the resident whiner and complainer stuck his nose where it didn’t belong.

Owens says he’s right, Sami didn’t belong anywhere near the match. haha.

Cesaro is pissed that Owens interrupted, said he’d be champ.

Shane then says that in the new era, we handle their business in the ring. Tonight, Owens will take on Cesaro to see who gets the next shot. Let’s see it.

Match 1: Cesaro vs Kevin Owens

Cesaro is quick with an uppercut in the corner. He whips and hits another. Whip and another. Whip to the corner, and one more! ANOTHER! Geez. He won’t stop! Cesaro finally hits the ropes, bounces off the ropes, hits them again, and hits a single leg dropkick! Pin for 1….NO! Owens rolls to the outside of the ring. Cesaro heads to the outside. He jumps on the barricade and rolls off with a senton to Owens! Cesaro sends Owens back in the ring. Cesaro flies off the top rope with a crossbody. Cesaro locks the legs for a swing, but Owens kicks out of it. Boots to the chest by Cesaro and a cover for 1..2..NO! Whip to the corner by Owens. Cesaro with an elbow, he hits the ropes, and runs right into a kick. Running senton by Owens. Cover for 1..2…NO! Owens with stomps to Cesaro. Cesaro with a chop. Another. Owens with an uppercut, ak ick, then a DDT. Cover for 1…2…NO! Owens with a kick to the back of the injured shoulder. He drops a leg on it. Owens is up. He hits a right hand. Chop to the chest. Owens pulls the arm around the rope, then Owens talks shit to Cole. Owens with an elbow to the face. Owens heads to the top rope. He eats an uppercut for his troubles! Deeeyum. Cesaro heads to the top as well. He locks the arm up for a possible suplex, but Owens hits a headbutt, sending Owens to the mat. Owens stands, but Cesaro is up too quickly! DROPKICK!!! GUTWRENCH SUPLEX BY CESARO!!! Pin for 1..2..NO! Cesaro gets whipped to the ropes, but he flips over and lands on the apron. Owens grabs the arm and drops it on the top rope! Owens heads to the apron as Cesaro drops to the mat. FROGSPLASH by Owens!

Back from a break, and Owens has Cesaro down in the ring. He grabs the head, but Cesaro hits an uppercut. Owens tries to fight back, but Cesaro hits another, and another, and another, backing Owens up into th corner. Whip is reversed and Cesaro hits the corner, chest first. He backs up into a German Suplex! Cannoball by Kevin Owens! Cover for 1..2….NO! Owens grabs Cesaro, sends him into the ropes, but Cesaro holds onto the ropes. He flies, springboard fuckyoface uppercut by Cesaro!!!!! Owens rolls out of the ring! Cesaro follows! Running uppercut to Owens against the barricade!!! They’re by the announce table now. Owens grabs the IC TItle, looking for a belt shot. Cesaro hits an uppercut as Miz takes the title from Owens! Cesaro with an uppercut to Miz!!! He heads into the ring. Cesaro drops Owens! He’s going for the swing!

The Miz runs into the ring and attacks for the DQ!!!

Miz and Owens start talking shit to each other. Cesaro stands, and we get a double teamed beatdown to Cesaro!

Sami Zayn is here! He rushes the ring. Owens shoves Miz into him, but Sami shoves him aside. He goes straight for Owens!! Miz tries to attack, but Sami hits a suplex. Sami with a Helluva kick to Owens!! Miz is up in the corner, and Sami looks to kick his head off as well, but Maryse pulls Miz out from under the bottom rop!

Cesaro is laid out, Owens is outside, Miz i with Maryse. Sami is left in the middle of the ring, standing. He sees the IC Title. He grabs the title slowly, and stares at it. The crowd seems to like the idea a whole lot.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is….WALKING!!!

Ambrose is chilling. She asks him what is he looking at. Dean stares at her a bit, then says he’s not buying it; she’s still the same ol Stephanie McMahon. Steph doesn’t know what this means, but she expected Dean to be a bit more open minded. She then brings up Ambrose Asylum, and says he can have one tonight, with Stephanie. Open forum; he can ask her anything.

Backstage, R-Truth is trying to teach Tyler Breeze how to rap. He’s got a stick with his phone taped to it. He then says that Babe Ruth shot Abe Lincoln. Goldust comes up, and is offended. Truth tries to defend Breeze, calling him his dog. Goldust says he’s got himself a partner. Enter Fandango, who dances along with Goldust. Truth and Breeze then take selfies with one another. Goldust and Fandango continue to dance. Goldust tells Truth that he’ll never forget the name of….

FAN….DAN….GOOOOO!

I don’t know how to feel about this segment.

Backstage, AJ Styles is talking to his Bullet Club buddies. Anderson says that last night, Styles was great. No, he was Phenomenal. Styles says he was beat last night, but Karl says Reigns was taken to the limit last night. Styles was so close to being the champion. Gallows brings up that at Extreme Rules, everything goes. Anderson says there’s no way Reigns is taking the title come Extreme Rules.

“Is that so?”

Reigns shouts from off camera. He walks up to Styles as he holds his boys back. He tells Reigns that after last night, he’s got a lot of respect for Styles. He doesn’t respect Anderson and Gallows, though. The fact that they even got involved shows that they don’t think Styles can do it on his own. The question is, can the three of them take on the three of Us(os).

Styles says they’re on, and at Extreme Rules, he’s taking the title all on his own.

Did someone say JoJo?

Match 2: Goldust (w/ Fandango) vs Tyler Breeze (w/ R-Truth)

Are those Burberry tights? I see you, Breeze. Breeze extends his hand out towards Truth, who is on the apron. Truth hands him over a Durag, and Breeze puts it on! I’m so conflicted right now. Goldust hits him with a right, and questions Truth, then dancing a bit. Breeze sends Goldust in the ropes. Goldust drops and hits an uppercut.

Truth lays on the apron and takes selfies ala Tyler Breeze as Goldust tries to get his attention. Goldust goes to grab Breeze, and Breeze shoves a shoulder into the midsection. Whip to the corner. Goldust flies off with a springboard elbow. Goldust stares at Truth and Fandango.

Fandango does the dance, then R-Truth does his own little gyration. Breeze rolls Goldust up for a 1..2…3!

Winner: Tyler Breeze

Goldust seems severely disappointed. Fandango stands by confused about his life and current role in the WWE.

Backstage, The New Day is walking. They stop and grab a sign from a guy. It says NEW DAY TWERK TEAM. A stage hand walks up and does a horrible rendition of a twerk as we go to break.

DON’T YOU DARE BE SOUR!!!

According to Cole, The Vaudevillians are the official Number One Contenders and will get their shot at Extreme Rules.

There’s a sign in the crowd that reads “St. Louis Ain’t ____” I don’t know what it says; I think the WWE blocked it out.

Kofi brings up Enzo’s concussion. We get footage of Enzo running into the rope and apron, followed by footage of him getting taken to the hospital.

In the ring, Big E says that was U-G-L-Y.

Woods claims that Beyonce slid up in his DMs last night. Big E says that didn’t happen. Big E wants to know if this really happened.

Xavier Woods: “Beyonce did not slide up in my DMs last night…”

What they do have, though, is a photo of Enzo leaving the hospital. It’s the one in his gown.

HOW YOU DOIN chant.

Woods: “He’s OKAAAAAY!!”

Woods says they sent him a box of Booty-O’s cereal and a little dash of Unicorn Magic. He says when Enzo is ready to come back, New Day will be here waiting.

But, the show must go on! Tonight, the champions will continue to keep this positivity train go—

They are interrupted by two dashing gentlemen. English says that what happened last night was just tragic, but this is a tough business, and tough things happen. Let’s face it, a real man would have gotten back up. Real men like them, who represent the skills and values of a bygone era. Real me who are the number one contenders to those *clears throat and sing* WWE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIIIIIIIIP. The crowd hates it.

Gotch says that last night, they made Enzo Amore the realest guy in the Emergency Room. Pardon him, Enzo, but “how ARE you doing?” Nice! haha

Gotch says they have left ZERO

BOOM!!

The Dudley Boyz are here!

Bubba wags his finger a bit. He then says, “What are you two carnies talking about?” He says they didn’t beat anyone last night. The ref stopped the match. All they did was stand there and twirl their mustaches like the Monopoly Man. As far as he and D-Von is concerned, they need to restart this whole tournament right now. D-Von says not to get this twisted; if anyone deserves the opportunity, it’s The Dudleyz. They are the baddest tag team on the planet. He’s gotta ask, who and what in the hell are these two Downtown Abbey guys are…

Big Cass has heard enough! He’s out solo. He tells “Simon and Garfunkel” to call Mrs. Robinson and tell her they’re going to be late for dinner. He’s been listening to them run their mouth about taking out Enzo, but Enzo is his family. They messed with his family, and now he’s going to have to finish what they started last night. As for the Du-du-dudleys, they’ve already been knocked out of the tournament, so as far as he’s concered, The Dudleyz and Vaudeville’s, there’s only one word to describe them, and he’s going to spell it out!!!

He does.

It’s great.

Cass enters the ring and goes straight for The Vaudevillains. The Dudleyz attack New Day. We got ourselves a brawl that’ll likely lead to a Tag Team Match!

Match 3: The Dudley Boyz and The Vaudevillains vs The New Day and Big Cass

So many little things to enjoy here. Good shit. I didn’t need two different “face-in-peril” spots with Kofi and Woods, but still pretty good.

In Puerto Rico, the food still isn’t as good as WWE catering.

Welcome to The Ambrose Asylum.

Ambrose welcomes Stephanie. Stephanie mentions the lack of chairs. Ambrose wants to know what this whole “Nice Stephanie” thing is. What is this? It’s not the Steph he knows, and after Payback, deep down, she’s gotta be a boiling pot of woman rage. hahaha. “Woman rage.”

Dean Ambrose wants to know what words Steph has to describe the following image. We see Reigns hitting a spear on Steph at Mania. Steph says she got a little overzealous at Mania and got in the ring where she didn’t belong. Reigns taught her a very valuable lesson.

Dean still ain’t buying it. Speaking of things that just gotta hurt…after 7 years away, Shane returns to RAW and runs RAW better than The Authority EVVEEERR did! Steph says that regardless of the reason that Shane abandoned us, we still love him and that speaks to the loyalty of the Universe, and that’s very much appreciated. Loyalty means everything to her. Without the loyalty, where would the WWE be.

Ambrose says that through her whole career, loyalty is important to even her. Being here all the time, 24/7. Because of her loyalty to the WWE and business, and all the sacrifices – how many birthdays and recitals has she missed. All these hours, production meetings, flying all over the world, all of that, does she think Shane has done the same? Has his time, energy, and family been sacrificed? That would burn Ambrose up if it were him. Doesn’t it grind Steph’s gears just a bit? Burn her up inside a bit?

Steph says she has learned a lot of lessons recently, and that’s why she sees that things need to change. It’s time for her to apply this lesson to Dean. Ambrose Asylum has been doing this for three to four weeks? It’s time for a change. It’s a new era. Stephanie wants to officially cancel the Ambrose Asylum. Steph tells Dean to clean all of this up and get to stepping. Ambrose says that hurts, he figured he’d be the next Fallon or Kimmel. They had a good run, right? Hosting a talk show is pretty tough anyway. Ambrose tells Steph she can keep everyting, and he’ll just head out. He grabs the plant, looks somewhat sad, and is about to head out.

Steph says she can’t just leave Monday Night RAW with a hole in the show, so she wants to introduce to us the returning host of The Highlight Reel….Chris Jericho!

Jericho comes out lookin all smug. They get in each others face by the ramp. Jericho shoves him. Ambrose attacks! Jericho sends Ambrose to the apron, Dean bounces off the rope, and clotheslines Jericho down hard. He sends Jericho in the ring then runs and mounts Jericho. Right hands galore. Dean goes for Dirty Deeds, but Jericho escapes and hits a Codebreaker! Ambrose rolls to the outside.

Jericho is about to leave, but spots the plant! NOT THE PLANT!! Jericho grabs the plant and heads towards Ambrose. He’s standing now. Jericho busts the pot over Ambrose’s head!

I ran to feed two turtles and made it back in time to see Kalisto ringside, and apparently we’re having a battle royal for the new number one contender for the US Title. Everyone is in the ring except for a few, I guess.

Titus O’Neil makes his entrance, and I guess his 60 days are officially up. Sheamus is next. We are informed of The League of Nation’s official breakup. All three are in the battle royal.

Match 5: Buncha mofos vs Buncha other mofos vs Sheamus

Viktor is first to be eliminated. Damien Sandow is next. Stardust is next, eating a dropkick by Crews. Darren Young is eliminated by Social Outcasts. Sheamus nearly eliminates Crews, but Apollo holds on. He soon eats a Brogue Kick, though. Dolph and Baron are fighting over the ropes, with Baron on the apron. He sends Dolp away and eats a dropkick. Dolph eliminates Baron Corbin!!! He pulls Ziggler out of the ring under the ropes and sends him into the barricade. Corbin sends Ziggler into the ringpost hard, then sends Ziggler back in the ring, and shouts for someone to eliminate him. Rusev is the lucky man. He grabs Dolph and elimnates Ziggler officially. I like that little fold.

We come back from a break, and Sheamus sends Titus over the top rope, eliminating him in the process. Del Rio hits his finisher on Axel, and tosses him out shortly therafter. Bo and Sin Cara are in the corner. Sin Cara sends Bo out of the ring with a head scissors. Ryder is with Sheamus, and nearly sends him over, but Del Rio is there to stop it and hit a dropkick to the back of the head. Sheamus with a short clothesline. Sin Cara hits a flying crossbody to Rusev, but Del Rio and Sheamus double team Sin Cara down. Cara hits a moonsault to Sheamus and Del Rio, but Rusev attacks immediately after. Ryder is still in it, and he attacks Sheamus in the corner. Whip is revesed, but he hits a boot to Sheamus. Ryder runs right into an Irish Curse Backbreaker.

Just an update, it’s Del Rio, Rusev, and Sheamus, Sin Cara and Ryder.

Sin Cara sends Del Rio over the apron, but Del Rio stands tall on the apron. He sends Sin Cara over the top rope!! Sheamus has his foot on the face of Ryder. Rusev, Sheamus, and Del Rio all stare each othere down. Sheamus points to Ryder, sends him in the middle of the three men. Del Rio points at Sheamus. Rusev stomps on Ryder. Del Rio joins in, and now we have all three men beating down Ryder. Del Rio and Rusev look to send Ryder out, but he holds onto the ropes. Sheamus tries to cheat Del Rio out of the match and send him over. Del Rio lands on the apron. Same with Rusev, as he lands on the apron. Del Rio with the backstabber to Sheamus! Ryder with the Ruff Ryder!! Heel kick from Rusev!!! Rusev goes right after Sheamus, but Sheamus hits a kick, misses a Brogue, eats a SUPERKICK!!! Del Rio clotheslines Sheamus over the top rope! Sheamus holds on! Superkick to Sheamus!

Sheamus is eliminated!!! He talks shit. Rusev with a SUPERKICK!!!! Rusev sends Del RIo over the top rope. Del Rio lands. He stands up and hits Rusev. Ryder with a dropkick!!!

DEL RIO IS ELIMINATED!!!

Ryder and Rusev!!! They go at it in the middle of the ring!! Right hands over and over by Ryder! Knee from Rusev! Whip to the corner. Double knees! Ryder on the 2nd rope! Missile Dropkick!!!

Rusev in the corner!! Flying forearm!! Ryder! WOO WOO WOO!!! BROSKI BOOT!!!! Ryder grabs Rusev! He tosses him! REVERSAL!!! RYDER FLIES OVER THE TOP ROPE!!

RYDER IS ELIMINATED!!!!

Winner: Rusev

Rusev’s Ravishing Russian comes down to celebrate with him!

Kalisto shows some very real concern by the announcer’s table. It’s little, but it’s perfect.

Up next…Charlotte addresses the controversy from last night that no one cares about.

Flair tells us t hat there was no controversy. Natalya quit just like all the Harts did. Charlotte would hate for her reign to be tarnished by one question, and there’s only one man that could answer that one question. Charlotte calls out Charles Robinson.

Charlotte asks Robinson to please tell the truth.

Charlotte asks if Natalya submitted to the Sharpshooter last night. Charles says yes she did. Ric claims that Natalya was begging the ref to stop it.

Charlotte says that the long relationship and respect that Charles has for her family had nothing to do with his decision. He says absolutely not.

Last question: as the referee of their match; the decision is final, correct?

He says yes, and Charlotte dismisses Robinson.

Nattie’s music hits, and out comes Ms. Pink and Black. She says this is not about Charles Robinson, and it’s not about Charlotte either. It’s about Ric Flair. Last night, Ric paid a referee to screw Nattie out of winning the title. With all of this garbage that comes out of his mouth, when it comes down to it, every single person here knows the truth. With the Harts and The Flairs; The Harts are the best there is, there best there was, and the best there ever will be.

Charlotte holds her father back and tries to cheap shot Natalya. Nattie blocks and kicks Charlotte out of the ring. Literally. She turns her attention back to Ric.

Ric removes his jacket and watch. He gets ready to rumble, and turns into a slap form Natalya! Nattie drops Ric Flair. Natalya locks in a Sharpshooter to Ric Flair! Charlotte is up to stop the hold, and pulls her father out.

Nattie then puts on Ric Flair’s jewelry and takes his jacket.

What the fuck?

Cole and Co shills Camp WWE.

Backstage, Flair is holding his jaw with Charlotte nearby. I saw something very similar on Pornhub…

Stephanie walks up to them and makes mention of Flair losing his watch and ring. She tells Charlotte that she needs to prove to Nattie once and for all that the Figure Eight is better than the Sharpshooter, so at Extreme Rules, there will be a rematch, and it will be a submission match.

Steph then turns to Flair, and asks that Flair be banned from ringside come Extreme Rules. Some people are saying that Flair is becoming a distraction, and with what happened out there, they need Charlotte on her a-game. Flair simply can’t be there. For old times sake, can she get a WOO real quick? hahaha

Flair looks at her all crazy.

JBL calls the following matchups “dream matchups.” A bit of a stretch there, JBL.

Styles sends Jey to the corner, flies off the opposite end, and hits a nice clothesline. Pin for 1..2..NO! Front face headlock by Styles. Reigns and Jimmy looking for a tag, so Gallows just hops in the ring and knocks Jimmy and Reigns off the apron. haha.
