411’s WWE Smackdown Report 1.15.15
* We get a new Smackdown open, since we’re on a new night.
* Michael Cole welcomes us to the show. Jerry Lawler is back following his health issues.
* Byron Saxton is in the ring, and introduces Daniel Bryan. Bryan is in a good spirits, because he is back where he belongs, in front of the fans. And he’s out here in his gear, and he is ready to fight. Saxton asks him about facing Kane tonight, and we see Kane’s attack, which “took Bryan out of action”. Bryan says he is taking things seriously, he knows how dangerous Kane is. He’s been out for 9 months. They were rivals, and then they became a team and were the tag champions for almost 9 months. He considered Kane a friend, and a brother. But Kane stabbed him in the back the moment Kane traded in his mask for a suit. Doctors told him he would never be back, but he is here and he is ready. Sure he’s a bit worried about his neck, but he will prove it to himself and to the fans that have supported him. Tonight he fights Kane, and he will win. And then in two weeks at the Royal Rumble, he will win. Ands then at WM 31, HE WINS! YES chants. Some people think it is just a dream, but does he think he can do it? Do the fans think he can do it? YES chants. Triple H now makes his way out along with Kane, Show, Rollins and J&J Security. They walk to the ring, not exactly making this a fair fight.
Kane vs. Daniel Bryan: Bryan attacks right at the bell and lays in kicks to Kane. Kane fights back with a clubbing blow to the back of Bryan, but then Bryan drop toeholds him into the corner. More kicks from Bryan, and then works the knee of Kane. A running dropkick to the knee follows, and then European uppercuts from Bryan. Kane fires back with an uppercut, and then lays the boots to Bryan in the corner. A right follows, and then a neck breaker to Bryan. Another neck breaker by Kane and a cover gets 2. Kane now works a cravat, targeting the neck of Bryan. Bryan with elbows looking to escape, off the ropes but runs into a big boot. Kane covers for 2. Kick to the gut and a DDT connect for Kane, who again covers for 2. Kane now works a neck crank, Bryan again fights to his feet but Kane with a knee takes him back down. Off the ropes and Bryan then low bridges Kane, who falls to the floor. Dropkick through the ropes by Bryan, and then he leaps off the apron but eats an uppercut. We head to a commercial…
Back from commercial as Kane works a chinlock. A jawbreaker by Bryan to escape, but then Kane connects with a boot and DDT, which gets a cover for 2. Body shots by Kane now, to the corner and splash and then side slam by Kane, and the cover gets 2. Back to the chinlock, to the corner and knees by Kane connect. Kane then sets Bryan up top, head butts follow and Kane climbs up with Bryan. Looks for the superplex, Bryan with rights and starts to fight his way out and then head butts Kane to the mat. High cross by Bryan follows, and the cover gets 2. Counter by Bryan, off the ropes and the clothesline takes Kane down. Kane to a knee and kicks by Bryan follow. A running kick follows and Bryan then covers, getting 2. Kicks in the corner to Kane now, Kane cuts off the shotgun dropkick, but Bryan counters into the YES lock. J&J Security get involved, and we have a DQ finish…

* J&J try to work over Bryan, Seth Rollins and Big Show look to get involved, and Bryan escapes. He is then joined by backup in Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Triple H appears and makes a six man tag team main event for tonight. Why? Because, Teddy Long…
* We get highlights of the Randy Savage to the Hall of Fame announcement.
* Bray Wyatt cuts a promo. He is an ideology, a forbidden fruit, the cure. For thousands of years things like him have been labeled a threat, but he can only be contained for so long. After he wins the Royal Rumble, it will be too late to run, accept your fate and follow the buzzards.
* We get highlights of Alicia Fox defeating Naomi on Raw.
The Miz, Sandow, and Alicia Fox vs. The Usos and Naomi: Miz and Jimmy to begin. Lock up, off the ropes and a shoulder block by Miz. Off the ropes again and a back elbow by Jimmy. Chops follow, Jey tags in and we get a double back elbow and then Sandow in to take a bump on his own. Double elbow drop to Miz as Sandow rolls to the floor. A clothesline sends Miz to the floor, ands then Jey wipes him out with a dive. Back into the ring they go, Miz begs off and Sandow wants the tag and gets it. Fox then tags herself in, Naomi in and hits a dropkick and follows with mounted rights. A head scissors from Naomi and then a high kick from the apron. She heads up top, high cross connects and the cover gets 2. Fox tags Miz back in, Jey in with him and then runs into a big boot. Miz lays in the kicks on Jey, and keeps control as the fans chant for Sandow. Jey fights back, and then they clothesline each other and both men are down. Tag to Jimmy and he works over Miz with clotheslines, a kick and an uppercut. The Samoan drop follows and then he connects with the whisper in the wind. Fox breaks up the pin, Naomi in to take care of her, Miz rolls up Jimmy, counters, Sandow in and eats a superkick. Skull crushing finale on Jimmy and that is all.

* They announced that Miz and Sandow will challenge the Usos for the tag titles at the Royal Rumble.
* Renee Young interviews Roman Reigns. She asks about tonight’s six-man tag, and Reigns says if tonight was the Rumble his partners would be in a world of hurt. But tonight, is a different story. Dean is his boy and he has no issues with Bryan. But he has an issue with the Authority and the big crybaby,. The Big Show. After tonight, as the Rumble, it is one versus all, and at the Rumble, Dean and Bryan will be part of the all.
* Paul Heyman WALKS with a purpose.
* Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring. Heyman admitted that for the first time that he was afraid. You see, Brock Lesnar conquered Undertaker and John Cena because he felt like it and because he didn’t care about them. He simply did what he wanted to do. But now, Lesnar wants to punish Seth Rollins because he is pissed off. This brought out Rollins, who is sick and tired of everyone being afraid of Lesnar. Rollins isn’t afraid, and wanted to cash in on Lesnar right here and now. Heyman says that Rollins knew Lesnar wasn’t there (because Lesnar doesn’t work Tuesdays). Rollins then threatened to deliver a curb stomp to Heyman and take away Lesnar’s biggest asset. Heyman informed Rollins that the Authority wouldn’t be around forever, and that means that Rollins wouldn’t be protected forever. Heyman they said that if Rollins was with him and on his side, that Lesnar could protect Rollins when Heyman decided that the future was here. Rollins contemplated the offer. By contemplate, I mean he didn’t kill Paul.
Non-Title Match: Nikki Bella © w/brie vs. Natalya w/Paige: Lock up, Natalya works a hammerlock but Nikki escapes and celebrates. Lock up again, we get a go behind by Natalya who then transitions to a knee bar. Nikki kicks her way out, and then hits a tornado single arm DDT. Hammerlock by Nikki, slams Natalya down by the arm and then covers for 2. Nikki goes back to the arm, Natalya postures up and powers up Nikki and slams her to the mat. Both are down and working to their feet. Nikki charges, misses and hits the corner. Snap mare by Natalya, basement dropkick follows. Spinning clothesline follows and Natalya covers for 2. Brie distracts the ref, and then Natalya. Paige slaps the piss out of Nikki, and then Natalya gets the sharp shooter and Nikki taps.

* Renee Young spoke with Big Show. Show said that he will win the Rumble because no one can eliminate him. I have video tape to dispute that. Kane then arrived, and informed us all that he is also in the Rumble match.
* We see a clip of Cara defeating Barrett on last week’s Smackdown.
IC Title Match: Wade Barrett © vs. Sin Cara: Cara goes for quick pins early, but Barrett fires back with a right to cut him off. Cara to the apron, connects with a kick and heads up top. Barrett will have none of that and knocks him back to the mat. Barrett gets a chinlock to ground Cara, who eventually works to his feet and uses rights to escape. Counter by Cara and leg kicks follow. Springboard forearm by Cara connects and the cover gets 2. Knees by Barrett now, and sends Cara to the apron. Cara up top, leaps over Barrett but then runs into the winds of change. Barrett looks for the bull hammer, Cara up and ducks under and gets a roll up and then one arm picks up Barrett for a powerbomb. Cara up top, misses the senton, rolls through and looks for a springboard but then leaps right into the bull hammer. That is all.

* Backstage interview time with Dean Ambrose. He’s all by himself, discussing not playing well with others. He hates the Authority and will win the Royal Rumble match.
* Main event entrance time.
Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs. Kane, Seth Rollins and Big Show : Rollins and Ambrose to begin. They trade rights and then to the corner they go as Rollins lays in the boots. Ambrose fires back and slams Rollins to the opposite corner. Chops by Ambrose, elbow drop follows and then tries to rip off Ambrose’ nose. Ambrose then connects with the neck breaker and stomps on him before tagging in Reigns. Make a wish on Rollins, to the corner and Reigns with the corner clothesline. Suplex by Reigns connects as Show yells at him. Reigns then works the arm, then grabs a front facelock and connects with clubbing shots to the back of Rollins. Rollins manages to connect with a kick on Reigns, and tags in Kane. Off the ropes and a shoulder block by Kane takes Reigns down. Reigns counters back with the belly to back suplex, but big rights by Kane stop the comeback for the moment. Reigns then connects with a clothesline and then rights, and tags in Bryan. Who kicks the shit out of Kane in the corner. European uppercuts follow for Bryan, but Kane then lands an uppercut and tosses Bryan to the floor. Show and the security try to attack, but Ambrose and Reigns are there and we have ourselves a brawl. The faces take the advantage and celebrate in the ring as we head to a commercial…
Back from commercial as Bryan slams Rollins to his corner, and then tags in Ambrose. Jabs and chops by Ambrose, and then hits the running dropkick on Rollins and covers for 2. Ambrose then counters Rollins, heads up top but gets cut off and knocked into the tree of WHOA. Show gets the tag and commentary sells the bad knee of Ambrose. Show immediately attacks the knee by working almost a kimura lock on the leg. Show then slams Ambrose to the corner, tags in Ambrose and he lays in the kicks to Ambrose. Show also lands some chops and then Rollins makes the cover for 2. Rollins then beats down Ambrose in his corner, tags in Show who hits a corner splash and then a body slam. Elbow drop follows, and Ambrose kicks out at 2. Show misses with chops in the corner, Ambrose battles back with rights but Show knocks him to the mat with a head butt. Show goes back to work on the knee. Kane tags in, works over the knee of Ambrose, and then hits a suplex and covers for 2. Rollins tags back in, talks trash and beats down Ambrose more before tagging in Kane. Kane with big rights, but Ambrose fires back with the jawbreaker lariat. BOTH men are down, Rollins then gets the tag from Kane and cuts off Ambrose. Ambrose manages to toss Rollins to the floor, things break down a bit with Reigns and Show on the floor, and then DANIEL BRYAN HOT TAG. Bryan goes rapid fire, suicide dive to Kane. Stun gun to Rollins, shotgun dropkick follows and then sets Rollins up top and hits a RANA! That gets a close 2. Enziguri by Rollins, Kane tags back in and looks for the chokeslam and connects, 1…2…NO Reigns makes the save. To the floor and Show takes out Reigns, Show starts to dismantle the announce table but then Reigns tackles him over the table. Back in the ring Ambrose takes out Rollins as Bryan had Kane in the YES lock. Ambrose with the big elbow to the floor onto Rollins and his security. Bryan then connects with the running knee strike on Kane and that is all!

* Post match, Triple H was not happy about the main event result. He announced a rematch for next week’s Smackdown between Kane and Bryan. If Bryan loses, he is out of the Royal Rumble match.
