Welcome to 411’s WWE Smackdown Report 10.03.14

  • John Cena kicked off this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw WWE Smackdown. Cena said that he and Ambrose were so focused on getting at Seth Rollins on Raw that they forgot about the Authority and how they work together. Brock Lesnar destroyed Cena at Sumemrslam, but that lit a fire under his ass to take the fight to Lesnar. He has Lesnar beat at Night of Champions, but Rollins took that away from him. If Rollins wants to get into his business and prove that he is the future, Cena says he has to go through him to prove that. Rollins didn’t come out, but Dean Ambrose did. Ambrose of course reminded Cena that he had issues with the Authority, and Cena stated that he did not want to get into it with him once again. Ambrose agreed that Cena didn’t want to get into it with him again, and noted that Rollins is his thing and that Cena got in his way Monday. They went face to face, Cena again said he went to e to toe with Lesnar and had him beat until Rollins got involved. It looked as if they were about to make a truce and shake hands when Rollins, Orton and Kane came appeared on the Tron from backstage. Long story short, they tried to cause problems between Cena and Ambrose, and then made John Cena and Dean Ambrose vs. Kane and Randy Orton for tonight’s main event; how fucking original. This felt like your usual 15-minute Raw opening segment.
  • They tease that Big Show will apologize for pulling down the Russian flag on Raw.

Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz and Damien Sandow: Sheamus and Miz to begin. Miz on the attack, clubbing shots to Sheamus. Sheamus fires back, shoots him across the ring and then hits a big boot in the corner. Miz tags in Sandow, he gets sent to the apron and then Miz gets tossed to the floor by Sheamus. Sheamus with the 10 beats, gets maybe three as Miz pulls Sandown to the floor. Ziggler distracts Miz and Sandow, allowing Sheamus to fly off the ropes to the floor onto both men as we head to a commercial.

Back from commercial as Sandow gets the tag and works over Sheamus with rights and then boots. Sandow works a front facelock, Miz tags in and kicks Sheamus in the gut. He rakes at his face, and hen follows with rights. Miz works over Sheamus in the corner with rights, the ref breaks them up and Sheamus manages to connect with a clothesline. Tags to Ziggler and Sandow. Clotheslines by Ziggler, corner clothesline and then a neck breaker follows. The DDT follows and Ziggler gets 2 as Miz makes the save. Sheamus and Miz spill to the floor, Ziggler with the dropkick to Sandow and covers for 2. On the floor Miz hits Sheamus in the gut with the chair. Ziggler with the superkick to Miz to send him back to the floor, zigzag on Sandow and that is all.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler @ 6:50 via pin

  • Post match Sheamus ran off Miz with a chair, Sandow was not as fast and got nailed in the back with a chair shot. Since Miz lost the IC Title and his match on Raw, he stared down with Sheamus to tease challenging for the US Title. Why? Because the mid-card is a complete mess, that’s why.
  • We see a promo for Luke Harper going out on his own. I can watch these cool videos all day; they are way better than Bray’s 10-minute soliloquies that mean nothing.
  • We now then get a video package on the Rusev vs. Show and Henry feud.

Paige w/Alicia Fox vs. Naomi: Paige connects with a kick to the face right away and then grounds Naomi with a butterfly lock. Naomi to her feet, slams Paige to the corner and then hits a dropkick. Another, and then a RANA follows. Boot to Paige, cool head scissors follows and Fox tries to pull Paige to the floor. Naomi doesn’t appreciate that and wipes out Fox with a plancha. Boot to Paige from the apron, she then tries to slingshot in but eats a kick from Paige. Paige applies the scorpion cross lock and that is all.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Paige @ 1:55 via submission

  • AJ now runs out post match and Paige runs away from her. Thesz press to Fox, Paige tries to help but runs again. AJ then tosses Fox to the floor and stands tall.
  • Big Show walks.
  • Big Show makes his way to the ring. Show and Rusev face again on Monday. Show said that ultimately people need to be held accountable for their actions. He said nationalistic pride got in his way, but that he went to far on Raw when he ripped down the Russian flag. He likes the majority of Russians he has met. But he also realizes that if someone did that to the American flag, he be pissed off too. He then apologized to the Russian people he may have offended. Lana and Rusev then hit the ring, and Lana said that they did not accept WWE’s apology and demanded a personal apology. Show said that he did apologize to the Russian people that he may have inadvertently disrespected and for that he is sorry. But he disrespected Lana and Rusev on purpose! Rusev says that Show spit on the Russian people and his stupid Americans suck. Rusev then attacked Show and beat him down with the Russian flag. Rusev then superkicked Show and waved the flag in celebration. Show was pissed off and slowly got to his feet. Rusev and Lana bailed as Show took off his suit jacket and tie to challenge Rusev to come back to the ring.

Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil w/Gator vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey): Jey and Slater to begin. To the corner, chops by Jey and then a back elbow to Slater. He then misses a corner splash and eats a leg lariat by Slater. Slater takes Jimmy to the floor, and follows with rights on Jey. The Bunny then hops on down to the ring; the Gator tries to attack and runs into the steel post. Slater and Titus are totally distracted; they eat double superkicks and the Bunny rolls Gator into the ring. Top rope splashes for all three and the Usos win.
OFFICIAL RESULT: The Usos @ 1:50 via pin

  • The Bunny celebrates with the Usos as Adam Rose and the Exotic Express dance on down to the ring. We then have a dance party.
  • Renee Young is with Dean Ambrose. She asked him about teaming with Cena again tonight, but he didn’t have anything to say to or about Cena. He wanted to talk about kicking Seth Rollins’ ass. Ass kicking are part of wrestling. He will never forget the cinder block incident, because that will drive him, nothing will stop him from getting his hands on Rollins and making him pay.
  • Cesaro and Truth had words backstage on the App. Cesaro says Ziggler was born on the highway, because that’s where most accidents happen. Truth then talked some crap and called Cesaro pompous.
  • Prior to the match Truth asks where he is at, and asks what’s up. Truth was playing off of the fact that a few years ago he called Milwaukee, “Green Bay”.

Cesaro vs. R-Truth: Big uppercuts by Cesaro to begin the match. Rights follow, and then more uppercuts. Cesaro slams him to the corner, and then lays in some body shots. Cesaro mocks Truth a bit, hits a gut wrench suplex and covers for 2. Cesaro with a variation on the million dollar dream, Truth battles to his feet and then fires back with rights. To the corner, backdrop by Truth follows. Boot by Truth, misses the axe kick but then gets the corner splash. The ref backs him off and Cesaro then crotches him on the top rope. Neutralizer, and that’s all.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Cesaro @ 2:08 via pin

  • Lilian Garcia introduces Bob Uecker to the live crowd.
  • Stardust and Goldust do weird shit backstage. Same thing from Raw I believe.
  • We get highlights of John Cena and Dean Ambrose vs. Kane and Randy Orton from Raw.

John Cena and Dean Ambrose vs. Kane and Randy Orton: Orton and Ambrose to begin. Lock up to begin, to the corner and Ambrose firs away with rights and lefts. Ambrose works the arm, snap mare and a sliding clothesline and then elbow drop. Cover for 2. Tag to Cena, rights to Orton and then hits the running bulldog and covers for 2. Suplex by Cena follows, and Orton tags in Kane. Rights by Cena on Kane, Kane returns with some rights of his own. Tag to Ambrose and then double suplex Kane and Ambrose covers for 2. Running dropkick by Ambrose follows, off the ropes again but Kane cuts him off with a shoulder block and tags in Orton. Ambrose is able to battle back, tags in Cena and they play wishbone with Orton and then Cena looks for the STF, Orton escapes and then hits a clothesline. Back and forth as they exchange punches, a belly to belly from Cena and a cover gets. Cena tosses Orton to the floor, low bridges Kane and he flies to the floor. Tag to Ambrose, who then hits the suicide dive onto both as we head to a commercial…

Back from commercial as Ambrose escapes a Chinlock from Kane. Off the ropes, Ambrose runs into the big boot and a cover gets 2. Kane tags in Orton, he beats down Ambrose a bit and then tosses him to the floor. Cheap shot by Kane, Orton then to the floor and slams Ambrose off of the announce table. Ambrose battles back with rights, slams Orton off of the table. Orton is able to counter the attack as he tosses Ambrose into the steps. Back into the ring, and Orton covers for 2. Orton shoots Ambrose to the corner, but runs into a boot. Ambrose hits a dropkick off of the second rope and both men are down. Kane tags in and cuts off Ambrose before he can tag in Cena. Kane takes Ambrose to his corner and continues the beat down. Snap mare and a basement dropkick by Kane follows, the cover gets 2. Kane works a headlock to a grounded Ambrose, Ambrose bites the hand of Kane to escape. But Kane rushes him back to his corner, Ambrose fights out, and takes Orton to the floor and then hits the jawbreaker lariat to Kane. Cena plays cheerleader for the big tag, Ambrose crawls but Seth Rollins is out and Cena drops to the floor and chases after him. They brawl to the back as Ambrose is left by himself to fight off Orton and Kane. Ambrose fights off Orton, cross body follows and then rights. He takes Kane to the floor, Orton looks for the hangman’s DDT and gets it. Ambrose counters an RKO and gets a roll up for 2. Dirty Deeds is countered, and right into a big boot by Kane and we get a DQ finish.
OFFICIAL RESULT: John Cena and Dean Ambrose @ 12:05 via DQ

  • Post match Kane and Orton beat down Ambrose, hitting the chokeslam and then RKO on him. Cena returned from chasing away Rollins, causing Orton and Kane to retreat. Cena looks upset at himself as Orton and Kane stand tall with Rollins on the ramp.
  • End scene.
