OFFICIAL RESULT: Jack Swagger @ 4:50 via submission

*3/4: Solid back and forth action with Titus gaining early momentum. Titus looked decent and will hopefully gain more notoriety of greater importance than his team with Heath Slater. He has the charisma to become a significant midcard- upper-midcard act. Jack Swagger looked decent as well, but needs to take on higher quality opponents in order to fully regain what he once had. Swagger has so much more to give to the WWE brand than just being relegated to Main Event or Superstars.

The second match of the night should be intense and fast paced as Los Matadores try to gain an upset victory over Gold and Stardust.

Los Matadores vs. Gold and Stardust
The match kicks off with Fernando and Goldust as the legal participants. Goldust begins the match by repeatedly punching Fernando. Fernando changes momentum by punching Goldust and than locking on an armbar.

Stardust breaks up the armbar by tagging Goldust to enter the match. Stardust nails Fernando with a quick punch. Stardust tries to connect with a belly to belly suplex but gets it reversed by a hurricanrana from Fernando. Diego enters the match after tagging in and connects with a clothesline for a two count. Diego than locks in a chinlock but Stardust powers out and sends Diego outside of the ring and onto the arena floor. Stardust tries to continue the attack but Diego quickly reenters the ring. Goldust is also sent to the outside, and it seems like Los Matadores are going to hit successive dives to their adversaries. Instead they fake the assault to try to gain a mental edge. After the false dives we are sent to a commercial break.
As we return from the break Stardust and Diego are exchanging punches and chops. Stardust is able to fully gain momentum, and connects with a wicked gourdbuster. Goldust than tags into the match and hits a knee drop on Diego. This gets Gold and Stardust a two count. Goldust answers the kick out with kicks to the back and head. Following a two count Goldust locks Diego into a chin lock. Diego powers out and connects with a sunset flip for a two count. Goldust kicks out and hits Diego with a clothesline. Goldust follows that up by locking in another reverse chin lock.

Diego tries to regain momentum and then tries to make the tag but is met with a spinebuster by Goldust. Stardust tags into the match and kicks Diego while he is down. El Torito tries to distract Gold and Stardust. Diego uses this moment to send Stardust to the mat. He finally is able to tag in Fernando. Fernando connects with multiple punches and chops to Stardust and culminates the assault with a flying forearm. Stardust tries to go for an Irish whip, but it is countered and Stardust is sent to the corner by Fernando. Fernando connects with a senton bomb for a two count. Diego gets hits with a clothesline by Goldust which sends him to the arena floor. Stardust tries to hit the Beautiful Disaster on Fernando but hits Goldust instead. Fernando answers this by rolling up Stardust for the win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Los Matadores @ 8:52 via pin

**3/4: This is a big upset win for Los Matadores, and is a bit disheartening for the future direction of the ultra talented Gold and Stardust. The WWE needs to revitalize the tag division, and this victory in a sense showed what is right about the tag division, but also what can go wrong. The match itself was of decent quality and nothing should be taken away from the efforts both teams produced during the bout. If Los Matadores were built up in the past several months the way that Gold and Stardust have been throughout their careers than the end result could be better appreciated, instead we are left with a result with the only question being, why and what just happened.

Overall Show Thoughts: Match wise this was a fun show to watch. The teams and the individuals involved in the show seemed energized and ready to put in one hundred percent effort. The overall direction of Gold and Stardust should be much clearer and more promising than what we were given on this week’s broadcast. Los Matadores are a talented tag team, that would be more appreciated if they were pushed without the stereotypical gimmick. The gimmick is a hindrance to their talent and if they are to be taken seriously going forward, it either needs to be dropped or become more focused on their in ring quality and ability, than what El Torito does outside the ring. Jack Swagger and Titus O’ Neil are building up a rivalry, that could bring both men to a more interesting if not higher level if they are able to build up more friction and more emotion.
