411’s WWE Table for 3: Diva Generation Report

-Original air date: November 4, 2015

-Continuing on with the series and this time we get 3 second generation Divas: Tamina, Natalya, and Charlotte.

-Small talk and Natalya calls it a dream come true for the three of them to be here as she has always felt a connection with the other two. Tamina mentions that Nattie was the first second generation Diva to make it in the WWE and she was the second while Charlotte was the third.

-Nattie talks about how she was never a model and only ever wanted to be a wrestler. Charlotte first met Nattie and asked her if it was okay to be a strong female. When Nattie debuted the PG Era had just started so there were still a lot of models around and it took time before she was hired. She bothered them all the time until they finally gave her a chance at $500 per week. In developmental she was in awe of everyone else at first and put a ton of pressure on her self considering her lineage.

-They all discuss the pressure and for Charlotte it is more about always being compared to her dad. She always hated people saying she looked liked him, because “no shit, he’s my dad.” She calls her dad the greatest of all time and that some think she has gotten where she has because of his name. Tamina had the same thoughts when she broke in as well. To Charlotte she felt like she always had to prove herself, and that no matter what she would always be associated with Ric Flair while others have a blank slate.

-Nattie learned that you just have to please yourself as the fans will either love you or hate you. Nattie and Charlotte talk about how they were told not to do moves similar to what those in their family did, and why Charlotte never gave a “Woooo” (until she beat Nattie in their NXT match). She jokes they didn’t want her to do Flair things, but they named her Charlotte.

-That gives Nattie a chance to mention she has a cat named Charlotte, and she is TJ’s favorite. Always working a cat story in somewhere.

-Charlotte doesn’t think she would have a career without her match with Nattie and thanks her for that match. Tamina says her debut was against Nattie when she came in with The Usos. They didn’t want her doing the splash because they didn’t want girls coming off the top rope like that.

-They talk about how the timing always ends up being perfect. Nattie admits she wasn’t ready to be in the WWE at 19 even though she tried.

-Charlotte and Tamina talk about how the last time a Snuka and Flair were in the ring at the same time was 1992. Tamina mentions her pressure is because she is the first female wrestler from the Polynesia clan. She was a tom boy and they always asked when she was going to wrestle, and she didn’t want to do it. Her dad believed in her and pushed her and told her no matter what she would do she would be the best.

-They talk about The Rock (Duane as they call him) and how he is fan of not only Tamina, but all the women.

-Charlotte talks about how the boys in middle school would make fun of her and call her beast. Even today with social media people take shots at her for looking like her dad and being muscular. Tamina gets the same comments for having manly shoulders and being strong.

-Charlotte was always an athlete and she never wanted to be a Diva. Her brothers wanted to do it, and it was Reid that talked her into giving it a try. She talks about being done with college and coming out of a bad marriage and thought she was too old, but gave it a shot because of Reid.

-Nattie tells Charlotte that her brother would be proud, which causes some tears to fall. Nattie thinks about what it would be like to have Owen and Davey around to see what she is doing. She tells Charlotte that now they are role models to younger girls and how after their NXT match they received a text from Steph telling them how beautiful the match was and how it gave her daughter women to look up to. It was emotional for them and Nattie was proud to see Ric and Charlotte together in honor of Reid.

-Nattie talks about how she is sometimes stuck on the sidelines and while watching The Divas Revolution it has ignited her passion for the business. She talks about how even while on the sidelines she is very grateful for the things WWE has given her such as being part of Total Divas. She does want to be part of the division she helped build and teases that they need to have a Triple Threat as it is a match made in heaven.

-More from Nattie as she talks about how Jim didn’t want her to wrestle. He was afraid that she would get hurt and she told him that she had already been training in the dungeon. She tells a funny story of how Bret’s granddaughter’s favorite Divas are The Bella Twins. Even Jim will often talk about the Bellas, and Nattie tells him to put her over too.

-We find out Tamina started later as she has children first and both of the other women think it is awesome that she is a mom and a Diva.

-Nattie is happy they all got a chance to talk, and she genuinely respects both women. They all love each other and Nattie pushes for a Tripe Threat match with the three of them at Mania.

-This was the Nattie show as she carried all of the conversation and we just got bits and pieces from Charlotte and Tamina. Not one of my favorite episodes in the series, but it is easy to tell that all 3 of these are handling the pressure of carrying a legacy with them rather well.

-Royalty is the theme for our next episode.
