411’s WWE Table for 3: The Kliq Report

-Original air date: May 11, 2016

-Moving on with The Kliq and more specifically the nWo version of The Kliq: Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Sean Waltman.

-Hall brings up The Curtain Call and how Pac was not in the Garden that night. Nash thought he was never going to be in The Garden again, and Waltman wants to know if he really thought that. Hall says he never thought he would be back because he had nuclear heat when he left.

-Nash brings up how WCW was pounding the WWE for a few years and he was told by JR that it was getting so bad they had to lay guys off and that bothered Nash because he still viewed the WWE as the home team.

-Waltman says he talked to Bischoff about that stuff and how the Monday Night Wars were amazing. Nash talks about going in the back and watching the shows side by side. Hall says that he and Nash were midcard guys in WCW and in the WWE everyone got a chance to bat and some would single, some would strike out, and some would hit a homer. They decided to go back to WCW with more stroke, and they wanted to do something totally different. Hall tells a story of him and Nash at a Nitro in Minnesota and they could hear Lex and Sting bitching about having to constantly hear “well, in New York we did it this way.”

-The guys start talking about previous gimmicks and looks and they have fun making fun on Hall’s old school porno stash. Hall brings up Nash being Oz and go over all the craziness with that. Hall wanted to see what Nash had because it seemed like he was getting a push with that character. Hall and Waltman scream on the gimmick and Nash says that Sullivan was wearing the same mask he did, but without the dunce cap.

-Hall talks about his personal demons and that he thinks he wouldn’t have fallen so far had he stayed in the WWE. Nash always wonders what would have happened if they had stayed, and Hall brings up the infamous photo they took on a tour in South Africa before they left for WCW. Nash says it was a picture of the Top 10 guys in the business except they were missing Savage and Hogan. Hall says they split and ended up getting both companies to shine. They ended up with Kliq South and Kliq North.

-They tell a road story about driving to Liberty High School in a snow storm and they let Pac drive because he convinced them he was good since he grew up in Minnesota. Well, they hit black ice in the van, and they spun into on coming traffic, and a semi was heading their way, so Nash took control of the wheel as he knew hitting anything else was better than the semi. They got out of the way and ended up hitting a tree, and Hall makes sure to mention the good thing about riding with Nash is that he made everyone wear their seat belts. Bigelow was also heading to the show and he was the only one to stop and help out.

-Speaking of Bigelow, Nash has a story about a guy in a convenience store asking Bam Bam if the tattoo on his head hurt. Bigelow told him no because he’s not a pussy. That pissed off 5 guys who decide they want to fight Bigelow. The 5 guys told Hall and Nash it had nothing to do with them, but at the same time they knew they had to help him.

-Hall talks about how Vince pitched the idea of the angle with him and Kid. Vince brings up Kid and Hall says he doesn’t know him, but he had seen him on TV wrestling for Global. Hall covers the entire angle, and Waltman says that he was just grateful to get the tryout. The show the ending of the match and it is still fantastic. They talk about the rematch, and how Waltman slipped off the top rope and hit head first on the exposed concrete. Hall was panicked on what to do and Waltman told him moonsault and he hits the best one of his career and Hall kicked out, but Waltman was so gone from the fall he no clue what to do next, so Hall and Earl were both yelling for him to grab the money and run. Awesome!

-Hall talks about heading into the Hall of Fame at Mania XXX and then at Mania 31 being able to come out with Nash and Hogan as part of the nWo and across the ring are his boys. Waltman puts over Sting for being great and everyone agrees.

-Nash talks about being at the Hall of Fame the previous night and talking to AJ Styles who was making his Mania debut. Styles said the same thing they all said when they got to Mania and that is how the whole thing is overwhelming. He said “I can’t wait until Tuesday,” and they told him to soak it in. Nash goes back to Mania 31 and how there were Kliq members all over the place and they were heading down to the ring with Hulk Hogan and it was just fun. Waltman puts over The Outlaws, and then rags on Nash and Hall for taking their sweet time with their entrance. Hall says it is the big time and that 90% of his stuff is his entrance anymore. Fantastic! Nash says when he hit the apron it is down hill from there anymore.

-They talk about how big things are now, but the schedule is the same. Hall talks about how Perfect told him that Vince never sleeps and he found the perfect guy in HHH as he is up at midnight doing workouts.

-Hall wraps things up by saying that “4 Life” thing turned out to be a shoot.

-Good stuff here and as has been the case, one person takes the lead and kind of runs the show and here it was Scott Hall. Obviously this three have great chemistry together so this was fun to watch. The stories were good and it was great to hear they bust on each other while also poking fun at themselves.

-Back to the ladies next time.
