411’s WWE Talking Smack Report: 06/13/17

– Final time (for now) for me to once again mention The Pittsburgh Penguins are still The Stanley Cup Champions.

-Renee Young welcomes us to Talking Smack and this week no Shane, as she is joined by JBL. He promises to do something controversial tonight and Renee wants to see it as she says they are live and nobody can stop them.

-She mentions that JBL has only had 1 ladder match and it was against Jeff Hardy. He says he is terrified of heights and Jeff Hardy has no fear. He is happy to have the Hardys back and wonders why they aren’t on SmackDown.

-Nakamura is out as the first guest and this should be interesting as this is his first time in this type of setting. He speaks some Japanese and talks to JBL about Funaki. Nakamura admits to being a little scared while on top of the ladder and he nearly lost his balance. Renee asks if he has been thinking about what it will feel like to get hit with a ladder and he says it will probably hurt. Yep! He is hoping adrenaline will take over, and JBL asks how he will train for this match since he has never been in one. Shin jokes that he needs to go to Home Depot and buy some ladders. He came to the WWE for something new and a ladder match is new for him.

-Renee wants to know what Shin thinks about his entrance and the audience reaction. He just feels it out there, and has nothing planned. Renee wants to play word association: Kevin Owens – Talks too Much; Sami Zayn – Same, though in a different way. Renee and JBL laugh over that one and JBL says he agrees with Shin. Dolph Ziggler – good wrestler and thinks he would be better if he went to Japan. He wants to wrestle him more. AJ Styles – If Tye Dillinger is a Perfect 10 than AJ is a Perfect 100. He brings up he has wrestled AJ before and he wants to face him again in the WWE. JBL asks if Styles is the best Nakamura has ever been in the ring with. He thinks every wrestler has a different style and he loves to wrestle him because of that style. Final name is Baron Corbin – he doesn’t have a lot of experience, but his size is his biggest weapon.

-Renee brings up that she follows Nakamura on Instagram and he posted pictures of him hanging out in Puerto Rick with Ellsworth. JBL is concerned that he is hanging out with someone like Ellsworth. Shin tells story of trying to surf in Puerto Rico with Ellsworth and it is kind of fun listening to Renee attempting to translate Shin’s broken English. Renee recommends that everyone follow Shin on Nakamura, and he finishes by saying he is going to enjoy his match on Sunday.

-JBL says that if Nakamura wins the MITB he won’t be able to do his entrance when he cashes in just because of how long it takes.

-They discuss the various strategies over the years of when to cash in the briefcase. JBL says it puts the champion on edge as they always have to think about it.

-They talk about the Woman’s Ladder Match and JBL has Nattie as the dark horse as you can’t trust Canadians, and Renee obviously takes offense to that.

-Ryder and Mojo out next as Zack has made his return 6 months to the date of his knee injury. The talk about the squatty potty and Renee is kind of lost until they explain it to her. Zack talks about Mojo winning the Andre Battle Royal at Mania and then mentions that they won the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal. It was in that match that he injured his knee and they discuss the gruesome details. JBL gets serious and asks Mojo if he wants to go back into being a tag team after the singles success he has had. Mojo doesn’t want to pass on the opportunity because they won that match for a reason and Zack destroyed his knee to get them that shot. Ryder says it would be stupid to pass on this chance. He does say that he needs to talk to Shane about their title match and he feels it is still owed to them.

-They touch on New Day making their entrance tonight with a full jazz band since they are in New Orleans. They hype Mania being back in NOLA next year.

-Our last guest is WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal. He comes on the set and has Renee introduce him a second time. Renee says that Jinder deserves his props as he harps on that she didn’t believe in him. He is the 50th man to hold the WWE Title and he is already the greatest champion of all time. He calls Orton a coward for hitting him from behind. He mentions that Randy will have Cowboy Bob there on Sunday and he is looking forward to embarrassing him in front of his dad.

-Jinder continues to give Renee a hard time and wraps up quickly as he plans to leave St Louis the WWE Champion. Before he can leave JBL brings up the celebration in India as Jinder says 1.3 billion are still celebrating his win. He takes his leave as JBL gets on Renee for irritating the WWE Champion.

-Renee says that Jinder has been an unbelievable WWE Champion and she didn’t mean to discredit him. JBL says that if Orton can’t win the title on Sunday in his hometown than he may not be able to win it anywhere.

-Renee gets in one last plug for the show on Sunday and we are out for another week.

-Decent show this week with nothing overly standing out like we have gotten in past episodes. I thought Nakamura did well with his extended interview and got in a few good jokes. He showed some strong charisma and he should get more comfortable with this kinds of interviews. The Hype Bros were okay and I can see the seeds they are starting to plant the seeds for one of them to turn on the other at some point. Jinder was kept short and was more of the same, but he does carry himself as a champion.

-There should be a Talking Smack after the PPV on Sunday and I will be covering that so join me then.
