Another Fan Report From Last Night’s Royal Rumble

The arena was sold out and very few seats were left empty. A very hot crowd to start the show. Nothing really much to say about the undercard matches. The crowd was into Cesaro and Tyson Kidd, which was really all they got really hot for.

Every time Roman Reigns was shown in video packages the arena booed heavily.

The Triple Threat match was easily the match of the night. Everyone was into it and bought into Brock Lesnar being out after the table spot. A great match that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Then came the Royal Rumble match. The crowd erupted for Bubba Ray Dudley. ECW chants were loud and the crowd loved seeing him back. His elimination was a little flat.

Daniel Bryan easily got the pop of the night. His elimination was shocking by how random it was. That took the crowd out of it. When Reigns’ music hit the crowd erupted with boos (I was actually a few seats from where he appeared from the tunnel and no I didn’t try to pat him on the back). There were a few chants of “We want Ziggler” and even a CM Punk chant broke out.

The ending was really pathetic. There was just no other way to describe it. The fans hated how Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose were eliminated, and the crowd honestly didn’t care going forward. When The Rock’s music hit, he got a good reaction but the crowd was still upset. They cheered for Rock when he was alone, but as soon as Reigns started going again the crowd turned again.

All in all, this was definitely the most shocking pay-per-view I’ve ever been to. The crowd was red hot and once Bryan was eliminated you could feel the place deflate. I’ve never been to a PPV where fans were chanting “We want refunds.” WWE made a big mistake again by letting Reigns win. If they were always going with Reigns then they never should of had Daniel Bryan in there. It’s mind boggling how they say they listen to their fans and then deliver this. It’s really sad that they bring The Rock in to help Reigns get over and even he couldn’t accomplish that.

It’ll be a very interesting couple of months for WWE. I don’t think they’re going to change their minds like last year, so it’ll be fun watching them dig themselves out of this hole.
