Backstage News On WWE Changing The Finish of Styles vs. Owens at Battleground
July 25, 2017 | Posted by
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, via wrestlinginc.com, AJ Styles was heavily favored to beat Kevin Owens at Battleground. It was the one match that odds makers got wrong, and Meltzer notes that the finish that took place was not the original finish, and it’s not known if it was changed during the match or right before.
The finish to the match felt off as both men’s shoulders were down, and fan reports claim that Styles was visibly upset after the match…
I don't know it was shown on TV, but AJ stuck around a bit after his match. He was really selling his loss. Even kocking over the ring step pic.twitter.com/Co0VJrdlCs
