Backstage Update on Dudley Boys’ WWE Departure – No Heat on Dudleys
– The Dudleys’ departure may have been a last-minute switch in plans, but it didn’t leave hard feelings on either side. PWInsider reports (via Wrestling Inc) that there’s no heat on the Dudleys and they didn’t do anything to cause their planned contract extension to be cancelled. The two were also not displeased with their situation in WWE and there’s nothing but good feelings from both sides in relation to the departure.
At this point, it still isn’t known why the two sides went their separate ways. As has been reported, the Dudleys had a verbal agreement in place for a new deal but those deals weren’t executed. The deal on the table was for one to two more years, and everything including financial terms were agreed on. The team has since announced that they’re returning full-time to run their Team 3D Academy.
