The show opened with a promo exchange between AR Fox (w/ Roxy) and Shynron. In short, Fox is unable to compete because of a concussion and Shynron is supposedly the World Champion of Chilé Lucha Libre.

1. Dave Cole beat Davey Vega. Cole won with a Tiger Bomb off the second rope.

2. The Gentlemen’s Club (Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy w/ Swamp Monster) over Team Create-A-Pro (John Silver and Ryan Rush). Taylor pinned Silver with the Awful Waffle after Cassidy nearly killed himself on a dive to the outside to take out Rush.

“The One Man Thrill Ride” Jimmy Preston came out for a promo and drove a wedge between Ryan Rush and John Silver. He had some real confidence on the mic and delivered some fun lines. Rush ended up leaving with Preston.

3. Anthony Stone beat Matt Cross. Stone won with a springboard Meteora. This one was promoted as the “battle of the beards” so it featured plenty of beard-based offense. The crowd didn’t come in super familiar with Cross, but they were impressed with his athleticism and chanted for him to come back.

4. Matt Tremont pinned Ricky Shane Page in a no-DQ match. Tremont won with a superplex onto two open steel chairs. Suffice it to say this wasn’t my kind of match.

Post-match, two guys in Guy Fawkes masks and Darius Carter attacked Ricky Shane Page. Davey Vega tried to make the save but ended up taking a beating alongside Page. After the attack they helped each other up and to the back.

5. Da Hoodz (Kris Pyro and Davey Cash) defeated The Hooligans (Devon and Mason Cutter). This one featured the opposite of psychology with the two scrawny sub-200lbs guys hitting lots of power moves and the 300+ pound Hooligans doing all crazy high flying spots. One even hit a super impressive solo Spanish Fly. One of the Hooligans was pinned after taking a diving senton while bridging in a German Suplex hold.

6. Shynron beat Fire Ant. This one was just not very good. They tried lots of stuff but it just didn’t click. Shynron is an athletic aerialist who still has a lot of improvements to make in his game all around. AR Fox tried to interfere but ate a right hand from the referee for his efforts. Big pop for the ref firing up. In the end, Shynron hit a very impressive (diagonal across the ring) corner-to-corner missile dropkick and followed up with a 630 senton. Post-match, AR Fox ran in and laid out Shynron with the CLL title belt. Fox was about to hit a move, but Roxy stopped him and then hit a Canadian Destroyer on Shynron. Fox unmasked him and Shynron left with a towel over his head.

Intermission. The next Beyond show at Fete is March 1st at 4pm. They’re hyping the return of Eddie Edwards for that show.

7. “Speedball” Mike Bailey over Silver Ant. Bailey won with a Shooting Star Knee Drop. Post-match, Team Pazuzu ran in and beat them down, which led to the save by Pazuzu’s opponents and transitioned into the next match.

8. Team Pazuzu (Jaka, Pinkie Sanchez, Angel Ortiz, and Mike Draztik) beat Buxx Belmar, Frankie The Mobster, Mathieu St. Jacques, and Thomas Dubois. Buxx took the pin following a powerbomb/neckbreaker/double-stomp combo and a diving splash from Jaka.

9. Kimber Lee forced David Starr to submit to a cross armbar. Lee’s trademark Alligator Clutch pin was banned in this match so she picked up the win by submission. Post-match, Starr hugged her and raised her arm, but then superkicked her in the back of the head. JT Dunn ran in for the save (as he’s currently dating Lee). Chris Hero tried to cool things down between Dunn and Starr, but he ended up dropping Starr with a rolling elbow because of Starr’s attitude and antics.

10. Biff Busick and Drew Gulak defeated Chris Hero and JT Dunn. After a good, hard-hitting and technical battle, Biff reversed Hero’s attempt at a Japanese leg roll clutch into a rear naked choke and tapped him out. Post-match, Biff and Gulak issued a challenge to Team Tremendous (Dan Barry and Bill Carr) for the March 1 show.
