Bob Ryder Addresses TNA’s New Business Model Being a Rebuilding Process, Looking to Bring in ROH’s Unsigned Talent, and More
– TNA executive Bob Ryder recently answered a number of fan questions on TNA Mecca in an Impact Wrestling discussion thread this week. You can read all of his responses from last night on Disqus. Below are some highlights of his answers:
On TNA trying to sign unsigned ROH wrestlers and working with ROH: “We have had talks at various times to see if ROH would want to do business with us. They weren’t interested at the time. Maybe we should get aggressive and go after some of their unsigned talent? That would be interesting.”
Ryder on the role of new Chief Strategy Officer Eric Sherman: “Help in all areas. He will develop a strategy to include branding, where our programming should air, live event strategy, etc.”
Bob Ryder on TNA running live events again starting in September: “We are starting back with 3 in September. We have Bound For Glory in October and may add shows the same weekend. May have an international tour in November (waiting on building avail), and could add December shows.”
Ryder on TNA’s new business model and it being a rebuilding process: “Some will like it some won’t. Will be a rebuilding process to replace those who left.”
