Classic Ohio Wrestling Venue Closing Down

– The site of ECW Heatwave ’98 is shutting down for good. WDTN reports that the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio is closing for good next month, with a final event set to be the Comic Book at Toy Show on August 27th.

The Hara Arnea was home to several wrestling events over the years and hosted WWE TV tapings, WCW PPVs (including nWo Souled Out ’98), Nitro tapings and ECW events. It was also used by Georgia Championship Wrestling when the promotion began to expand.
