While the show is being introduced Nikki Cross jumps in the ring. She goes outside and leans into the ring announcer’s microphone, calling for Ruby Riot to come out and play. Ruby obliges and they stand across the ring from one another. Nikki charges but Ruby takes her down and they brawl. The fight goes outside where Ruby gets her head slammed into the steel steps. Nikki does a weak jump off the steps onto her before officials split them up. She does a much better dive off the steps on her second try. They’re finally pulled apart and Nikki is taken to the back.

A recap airs of Hideo Itami’s return to NXT last week where he slapped Bobby Roode and hit him with a Go to Sleep. This leads to an interview with Roode, who says it was an unprovoked attack. He tells HIdeo that if he wants a shot, he’ll have to earn that glorious opportunity.

Andrade Almas vs. Drew McIntyre

Almas keeps away early because, tranquilo. He hits the mat and taunts after avoiding Drew’s grasp. Drew gets pissed and launches him but Almas latches onto the ropes. Drew kicks him to the outside. They fight outside where Almas pulls McIntyre face first into the steel steps. Inside, he delivers a loud chop but Drew fires back with his own. Almas hits a modified reverse DDT and elbow for a near fall. He drives his feet into Drew’s face in the corner and instead of the double knees, slaps Drew. Drew catches the next slap and beats the fuck out of Almas in the corner. He comes off the top with an elbow but Almas fighs off his next move. They trade chops until Almas runs into a powerslam. Drew fires up and hits the running boot to win a disappointingly short match.

Winner: Drew McIntyre in 3:51 [**1/4]

In his office, William Regal announces that Nikki Cross will go one on one with Ruby Riot later tonight.

We are taken to a special “Who is Roderick Strong?” video package. They talk about how he’s a veteran who has won titles everywhere he’s gone. He calls himself the most precise wrestler in NXT. Roddy says he doens’t usually let people in. People see him and think he’s a guy who had the perfect life growing up but that wasn’t the case. He talks about his mom having drug issues, his dad being an alcoholic and them having a violent relationship. They show a newspaper article that reveals his mother shot his father during a dispute. Roddy thought his dad was shot by someone at a bar or something but tears up when saying he found out it was his mother. He does talk about his mother being resilient and turning her life around. They show her in the crowd at a recent TakeOver. It wasn’t until he found wrestling that Roddy found something he loved. Roddy says his dad did some wrestling and was trained by Jim Neidhart. Jim gave him advice and also partially trained him. Part two is next week.

Aleister Black vs. Kona Reeves

Kona charges at the bell but Black withstands it and beats him to the other corner. The official separates them on the ropes, giving Kona the opening for a cheap shot. Black blocks being sent into the corner and delivers a series of strikes and kicks. He hits a big kick and goes right into his meditative stance. Black Mask connects and that’s it.

Winner: Aleister Black in 1:14

Some new interviewer speaks with Ruby Riot backstage about facing Nikki Cross tonight. Ruby says that she agrees with how SAnitY doesn’t want to conform but she doesn’t like how they want everyone to conform to their style. He will put Nikki out of her way en route to the NXT Women’s Title.

Another interviewer tries to catch up with Andrade Almas outside. Instead of being dejected about losing, he has a woman on his arm and gets in a car with several more. He invites her to join but she doesn’t, so he leaves with the ladies in the car.

Ruby Riot comes out for the match but Nikki Cross jumps her from behind. They fight in the aisle, where Ruby hits a suplex on the ramp. Nikki sends her into the stage hard and pummels her. Officials try breaking them up again but fail a few times. Nikki has to be physically carried away by four officials.

Asuka is in William Regal’s office next. Regal says there will be a battle royal next week to determine the next challenger for Asuka’s title. Asuka gives a funny reaction to this and walks off.

WWE United Kingdom Championship: Tyler Bate (c) vs. Jack Gallagher

Commentary plugs the upcoming UK weekly show. They work some grappling exchanges, with Gallagher doing his fancy handstand to escape a headlock. Bate breaks a full nelson in very interesting fashion. Gallagher twists Bate’s wrist and wrenches on the arm, somehow turning it into a pin for two. They trade flash pin near falls before Bate catches a Gallagher cross body. Gallagher gets free and we have a standoff heading into commercial. Returning, Gallagher has a wristlock firmly applied and uses it in diverse ways for some entertaining offense. He holds Tyler’s left arm down and steps on the right, bringing it down in painful fashion. They move to trading stuff while in a knuckle lock and are played to be totally even, including both men bridging up to their necks at the same time. Gallagher scores with a dropkick but Bate gets two on an impressively powerful suplex. Bate sends him outside and wants a suicide dive but Gallagher stops him with a huge headbutt. A second headbutt inside gets Gallagher a near fall. Gallagher goes to the arm he’s worked on for a submission but Bate fights him off and hits a rolling heel kick. Tyler Driver ’97 connects and Bate retains.

Winner: Tyler Bate in 10:06 [***1/4]
