* Tony got called into work tonight, he sends his love.

* We get highlights from last week’s show.

The Vigilante Sting Speaks: Vigilante Sting makes his way out to the ring to kick off the show. Vigilante Sting says it feels good to be back in Tampa. He was lasting the ring with Triple H, they pushed each other to the limit and he has respect for him. But now, he has his sights set on the sellout Seth Rollins. Rollins is really good, but he is no Triple H. There have been several injustices since WrestleMania, involving Rollins and the WWE Title. The Authority watches his back, Jon Stewart helps; somehow Rollins manages to hang onto the title. Rollins now thinks he is a legend like Sammartino, Andre and warrior. That is an injustice, because Rollins is a legend in his own mind. Vigilante Sting has wrestled legends and won world titles, but the WWE Title has avoided him. That will change at Night of Champions when he writes the final chapter of his career and beats Rollins to win the title. At WrestleMania Triple H manned up and shook his hand, and will now prove that Rollins is not half the man Triple H is. Rollins is not the man, he is a little boy, so buckle up, you’re in for a heck of a ride.

* Rollins talks with Stephanie, and Rollins is not happy about Sting’s promo Stephanie says that a victory over a legend like Sting will solidify his legacy. Rollins tried to justify himself, and Stephanie told him he wasn’t as good as Triple H. She hopes he can be, but he’s not. He then questions where his statue is, and Stephanie tells him to go ask Sting about it.

Dolph Ziggler w/Lana vs. Rusev w/Summer Rae: Rusev tries to walk down Ziggler, Ziggler tries to use his speed but Rusev tosses him around the ring. Ziggler then connects with a dropkick and sends Rusev to the floor. This only angered Rusev, as he attacked and laid the boots to Ziggler. Kick to the face by Rusev and he cover gets 2. Rusev settles into a chinlock, Ziggler fights but Rusev slams him to the mat again. Kicks to the back by Rusev follow, and then he stomps away at the midsection of Ziggler. Ziggler on the apron now, he slides back in and Rusev yells at him, and Ziggler then gets the jawbreaker. Rusev sidesteps Ziggler, who misses with the corner splash. Elbow drops by Rusev follow and he covers for 2. Ziggler manages to use his speed to avoid Rusev, and then gets the sleeper. Rusev slams him to the corner to escape, Ziggler to the apron and Rusev sends him into the barricade as we head to a commercial…

Back from commercial as Rusev misses a running head butt. Rights by Ziggler connect, but Rusev hits a clothesline and drops him again. Rusev now works the bear hug, Ziggler fights but Rusev just slams him to the corner. Another Irish whip by Rusev, he backs off and then charges and misses the corner splash. Ziggler hits a DDT and both men are down. They get to their feet, and Ziggler with clotheslines to take Rusev down. Corner splash follows but Rusev gets the suplex. The running senton connects for Rusev, and the cover gets 2. Rusev sets for the leaping superkick, misses and Ziggler gets a roll up for 2. Spin kick by Rusev follows, and he covers for 2. Rusev dumps Ziggler over the ropes, but then Ziggler hits the superkick for 2. Rusev rolls to the floor, Ziggler follows and Rusev connects with a shot to the throat and then slams him off the steps. Rusev charges, but Ziggler moves and Rusev spears the steps. Both men are down, the ref counts, Rusev back in and so is Ziggler. Rusev throws a mini-tantrum when Ziggler gets in, and then picks him up and hits the leaping superkick. He now looks for the accolade, but Ziggler escapes and hits the zigzag and covers, but Summer is in for the DQ.

* Lana hits the ring for the catfight, Ziggler pulls her off and then Lana kicks Summer as she charges her.

* Beat the Clock is up next.

* Renee interviews Ziggler and Lana. Lana then leaves, and Ziggler says he technically won. This isn’t the last he’s see of Rusev and fake Lana. He has a date tonight and leaves. Renee then hypes the Dudleyz match for tonight as Summer sneaks into Ziggler’s locker room.

* Nikki is in the ring with Brie and Fox. She discusses being the face of the division, and hypes becoming the longest reigning divas champion. She has a countdown on the big screen to celebrate this.

* The PCB member with the best time earns a title shot against Nikki.

BEAT THE CLOCK MATCH: Becky Lynch w/Paige and Charlotte vs. Alicia Fox w/Brie and Nikki: Lynch goes for a roll up right away and gets 2. Fox then tries for a cover, countered and they try to trade pinning combos. Lynch works the arm, and Fox bails to the ropes. Fox with a boot as the ref pulled Lynch away, and covers for 2. Fox with the hair mare, and then stomps on Lynch’s hand. Lynch with a roll up, but they are in the ropes. Dropkick by Fox connects, and she covers for 2. Chinlock by Fox, Lynch escapes and hits some clotheslines and a dropkick, the cover gets 2. Corner kick by Lynch follows, and then the XPLODER follows, the cover gets 2. Fox counters a slam and gets a roll up for 2. Lynch then gets dis-arm-her and that is all.

* Ryback does a backstage interview, discussing his match with Big Show tonight. The Big Guy says the IC Title means everything to him, and since his return nothing has been able to keep the big guy down. He will prove to be bigger and better than the Big Show. We see Summer running away and then see Ziggler in a towel.

* The Miz is out for commentary.

IC Title Match: Champion Ryback vs. The Big Show: Show attacks at the bell, and then he and Ryback exchange rights. Shoulder block by Show connects; he then slams Ryback to the corner and lays in some chops. Ryback fights back and hits shoulder blocks and clotheslines in the corner, but Show then drops him with a clothesline. Irish whip by Show, the clothesline follows and then Show walks on Ryback’s back. Final cut by Show hits, the cover gets 2. Show lays the boots to Ryback and then steps on his face. To the corner and Ryback hits hard and drops to the mat. Show stomps away on Ryback and grabs the mic to yell at the crowd and tells them to find someone to retire him. Ryback up and tries to slam Show, but the weight is too much and Show falls on him and he covers for 2. Show picks up Ryback, stops him attempt at a comeback and hits a DDT for 2. Show slows it down with a cobra clutch variation. Ryback fights to his feet and escapes, and then hits a running shoulder block and takes Show down. Show hits an Irish whip, but Ryback with the Thesz press stops that. Show goes for a chokeslam, but Ryback counters into a spinebuster for 2. Ryback sets for the clothesline, but Show stops that and hits the chokeslam and gets a close 2. Show then decides to head up top. Ryback is up and cuts him off and press slams him to the mat. Ryback’s meat hook clothesline is countered by the spear, and that allows Show to get anther cover for 2. Show looks for the KO shot, Miz distracts him, Ryback hits the shell shock and that is all.

BEAT THE CLOCK MATCH: Charlotte vs. Brie Bella: Charlotte chases early, but Brie backs off into the ropes. Brie tries to play keep away and stays near the ropes to mess with Charlotte’s chance at winning. She then hits the floor, Charlotte chases and Brie slams her to the floor. Back in, Charlotte attacks and tries for the figure four but Brie gets the ropes. Charlotte manages to hit a neck breaker and covers for the win…. Yup.

* We get highlights of the Dudleyz return from last week.

* Renee interviews the Dudleyz. Bubba says that they are back, and they are here to put everyone through a table. But also, they want to win the tag titles. They are the most decorated tag team in wrestling, but they want their 10th WWE tag title run. The New Day is at the head of the table, and they plan to put them through that table. Devon tosses in a testify.

Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens: This is out second Summerslam rematch of the evening. Owens decided to talk shit, so Cesaro fed him a snack of uppercuts. Owens fight back with rights, and then more uppercuts by Cesaro. He looks for a suplex, countered, but then Cesaro gets him up and plants him with the suplex and double stomp; the cover gets 2. They trade chops and go to the corner, the ref separates them and Owens connects with a cheap shot and then follows with rights and chops. Off the ropes, a clothesline by Cesaro allows for a cover, but it only gets 2. Owens then bails to the floor, so Cesaro follows and destroys Owens with an uppercut. Cesaro tosses Owens back in, and then hits the high cross and covers for 2. Owens again bails to the floor, Cesaro follows but Owens cuts him off and they go back into the ring. Senton by Owens, and then a kick to the back follows. Owens works the back of Cesaro, whipping him to the corner. Cesaro with rights and chops, but Owens turns the tide and hits the cannonball in the corner and that gets 2. Rights by Owens and then forearm strikes to the neck of Cesaro follow. Owens then gets the chinlock, Cesaro escaped but Owens then posted him and hit the TKO out of the back breaker, and that gets 2. We head to a commercial…

Back from commercial as they battle on the top rope, Owens knocks Cesaro to the mat, but Cesaro hits a standing dropkick and then the super gut wrench suplex from the top, that gets 2. Uppercuts by Cesaro now, just beating Owens from corner to corner. Cesaro counters the superkick and gets the slam out of the back breaker for 2. Cesaro looks for the neutralizer, they trade counters and Owens escapes a sharpshooter, hits the superkick and covers for 2. Owens yells at Cole and then misses the cannonball, and now both struggle to get to their feet. They do and trade rights and Owens yells at Cesaro. They then slap the piss out of each other and Cesaro catches Owens on the tornado DDT and slams him down and into the crossface. Owens struggles for the ropes, and finally gets them. Cesaro counters Owens and goes to the apron and looks to suplex him to the floor, Owens counters and stuns Cesaro off the ropes and then Owens charges and sends Cesaro to the announce table. Owens hopes for the countout, but Cesaro returns to the ring and the ref checks on him. Owens looks to attack, Cesaro looked for the swing but Owens hit him in the ribs. A superkick to the ribs follows, and then the pop up powerbomb connects and that was all.

* Sad Lana and Ziggler are backstage. Ziggler tries to explain that he got in the shower and Summer snuck into his locker room. He promises that nothing happened. Lana is not pleased that Summer got to see Ziggler naked. Ziggler again promises nothing happened, and that Summer only saw him naked for 2-seconds. She leaves.

* We get highlights of Strowman’s debut last week.

* Pre-match Wyatt cuts a promo, thanking Sister Abigail for sending him Strowman. He then tells Strowman that this is his moment, and he gets to show the world what he stands for and why he exists. People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of time, but after tonight, there will be no more time for guessing. Tonight they will walk among us undisguised, because Strowman is the face of destruction. Strowman says this isn’t the beginning, it is the end, the apocalypse.

Dean Ambrose w/Reigns vs. Braun Strowman w/Wyatt and Harper: Strowman just stands there and Ambrose attacks, he runs into Strowman and then falls down. Strowman then tosses Ambrose across the ring a few times, and Ambrose has to struggle to his feet. Big right by Strowman drops Ambrose, he then picks him up and misses a clothesline allowing Ambrose to fire back with punches. Strowman cuts that off and delivers a big body shot. Which takes down Ambrose. Strowman then hits a running boot, sending Ambrose to the floor. Strowman follows and slams Ambrose to the barricade, and then chokes him out. He tosses Ambrose into Reigns, and then shoves Reigns down. Reigns attacks and that is a DQ.

* Strowman then just kicks the shit out of both Reigns and Ambrose. He tosses Reigns into the ring, and reigns attacks with rights. Strowman gets the standing choke, and Ambrose returns with a chair and hits Strowman, who no sells it. Strowman tosses the chair away and slams Ambrose to the mat. Reigns again tries to fight back, but Harper takes him out and Strowman gets the standing choke on Ambrose, and then drops him to the mat. Strowman then hits his beg ending type move on Reigns, and then Bray enters and hits Sister Abigail on Reigns. The Wyatts stand tall.

* Renee talks with Seth Rollins, who is still upset about Sting stealing his statue. By doing that, Sting has also disrespected other legends like Sammartino, Andre and Warrior. Rollins plans to demand his statue back later tonight. When asked about Sting saying that Rollins is no Triple H, Rollins says that he is the first man to ever hold the US and WWE Titles at the same time. That means he is the man now.

BEAT THE CLOCK: Paige w/Becky and Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks w/Naomi and Tamina: Paige attacked right away and tried a quick cover, but only got 2. Banks then laid the boots to her in the corner, and she then got a cover for 2. off the ropes and a sunset flip by Paige, they trade counters and then Paige with a sloppy roll up for 2. Paige sends Banks to the corner, hits the corner splash and then hits a knee and covers for 2. Forearms by Banks, goes for a RANA but Paige turns it into the ram-paige and Naomi and Tamina pull her to the floor. Time expires.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Match Ends at 1:40 as Paige did not beat the time

* Charlotte and Becky check on Paige post match, and here come Team Bella. Nikki holds the title in the air as Charlotte stares her down.

* Renee interviews Lana. Summer was previously interviewed and said that she went into Ziggler’s locker room because she was invited in by him. She claims that he started to strip down, and she became speechless and didn’t know what to do. Ziggler then invited her into the shower, or so she claims. She then says Ziggler gave her THE LOOK and she realized she was being seduced, so she ran away. But she will never forget naked Ziggler. Lana is a sad panda and walks away from Renee.

* Xavier Woods’ new hair cut a promo about the evils of the Dudleyz. They then took turns and spoke about needing to save tables, and spoke about all of the great tables in the history of the world. They have a bubble wrapped table, and they claim it is the last table here, and they will protect it. They lead a chant of “SAVE THE TABLES” as Xavier “Superfly” Woods looks amazing.

Non-Title Match: Champions New Day (Big E & Kofi) w/ vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba & Devon): The Prime Time Players are on commentary. Big E and Devon to begin. Lock up, and Devon looks to work the arm. They do some counters, and then body shots by Big E follow. Off the ropes and a shoulder block and then a neck breaker by Devon, and the cover gets 2. Big E takes control back and tags in Kofi, but Devon with the hip toss and a tag to Bubba. New Day claps, Kofi grabs a side headlock and looks to control. Bubba shoots him off the ropes and Kofi uses his speed and avoids him and then lads a sidekick. Bubba then gets a clothesline, all four in now and the Dudleyz take control and clear the ring and we head to a commercial…

Back from commercial as Devon and Big E trade rights, Woods tries to distract Devon but it fails. Big E eventually takes control and gets the tag, but Devon takes control. He hits the ropes, and Woods pulls the top rope down and Devon tumbles to the floor. Kofi and Big E take turns working over Devon on the floor, and then roll him back in. They work over Devon in their corner for a while, Big E dances and Woods brushes his fabulous hair. Big E then hits the running splash and gets a cover for 2. Big E then works the abdominal stretch, Devon then fights his way out and runs into a back elbow. That gets a cover for 2. Kofi tags in and works a half nelson, Devon to his feet and Kofi trips him up. He heads up top, Kofi flies and Devon catches him with a clothesline. Devon then gets a tag, Bubba cleans house on Kofi with clotheslines and the big backdrop. The corner splash connects, Big E eats a clothesline and then a side slam for Kofi. Bubba tosses Woods into the ring and then to the floor. Slip flop and fly connects, Devon in for the wazzup head butt. Blind tag by Devon, 3D on Koki and that’s all.

* Post match The Dudleyz get the table New Day brought out, but before they can use it, Woods pulls Big E to the floor and New Day retreats.

* Ziggler and Lana will be on Miz TV on Thursday’s Smackdown.

Seth Rollins Calls Out Sting: Rollins comes to the ring and says that before last week he had no issues with Sting, he thought of him as a legend, an icon in the ring. He is nothing like Sting, he doesn’t hide in the shadows, and is here to call Sting out. He wants Sting to apologize and take back saying that Triple H was better than him, because that is not true, he is just as good and maybe even better one day. Secondly, he wants his statue back. That statue means more to Rollins than Sting could ever imagine, because it represents the greatest champion in WWE history. He challenges Sting to come to the ring, and here comes Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie advises that he stops talking about Triple H. Rollins says that Triple H was compared to Ric Flair, because he was the man; that time has past and now he is the man. Stephanie cuts him off and says Sting is in his head and messing with him. Stephanie reminds him that he is a double champion, and that he is the man. Rollins says she is right, and demands Sting arrive and tell him where the statue is. Here comes John Cena. Rollins said Cena had no business out here, Cena put Rollins over as a talent and then called him an idiot. He told Rollins that the Authority is not his friends, he is expendable. The Authority does what is best for business, and why the Authority doesn’t like him, they are about to allow Cena to do something. Cena broke the news to Rollins that he will defend the US Title against Cena at Night of Champions, in addition to defending the WWE Title against Sting. Rollins tried to say it wouldn’t happen, but Stephanie said that Cena would get his rematch at Night of Champions.

* Cena left with his hands raised as Rollins and Stephanie argued.

* Sting then came out to stand with Cena on the ramp.
