Seth Rollins Talks: Seth Rollins made his way to the ring, and said he came back from a career threatening injury, in record time, defeated the paper champion and won back the title he never lost. And then Dean Ambrose stole the title from him. The only thing worse that that is the fact that he has to win back his title in a triple threat match. He promises to prove at Battleground that he’s the best of the Shield. Tonight he will prove he is more of a man than Reigns, and issues an open challenge for tonight’s main event. Sami Zayn accepts this challenge. Rollins asks if Owens let him off the leash for a bit, but then said that Zayn is the perfect man to make an example out of. Rollins was a complete douche here, in the best way possible. Dean Ambrose then made his way to the ring and has the Asylum set brought into the ring so that they can do this right. Zayn laughed as Rollins threw a fit; a cactus has replaced Mitch. Ambrose even drew a little WWE Title on his sign. Rollins thought this was stupid and doesn’t want to be on the show, Zayn is excited to be here because he’s a big fan. Ambrose wants to know why Rollins is such a jackass. Rollins doesn’t have time for this, and Ambrose says he may never invite him back. Zayn wants to do the match right now; Ambrose cuts him off and then asks Rollins the same question. After throwing a fit, Rollins left.

Cesaro vs. Alberto Del Rio: Del Rio attacks at the bell, working over Cesaro in the corner and then hitting the tilt a whirl back breaker. Cesaro then answers back with the same, hitting the move three times and then hitting the running uppercuts. Del Rio takes a power to the floor, but Cesaro hits the cannonball off the apron and tosses him back in. Del Rio then attacked the previously injured arm of Cesaro as we head to a break. Post break, Del Rio is in control and trying to focus on the arm. Cesaro fought back, but Del Rio locked in the hanging arm bar in the ropes to stop that. Del Rio off the top but eats an uppercut. They trade rights, uppercuts by Cesaro in the corner and then the springboard uppercut gets 2. Cesaro went for the swing, but Del Rio countered so Cesaro hit the double stomp for a near fall. Del Rio then countered a suplex and hit the backstabber, which got a near fall. Del Rio then hit the superkick to a kneeling Cesaro for a near fall. Cesaro fought back with the dropkick and an uppercut. They battled up top, Cesaro knocked into the tree of WHOA, but he managed to counter into a toss. High cross misses for Cesaro, cross arm breaker countered by Cesaro into the neutralizer, and that was that.

Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews: Sheamus went on the attack right away, slapping Crews around a bit as well. Crews then hit a running cross body, sending both to the floor. Crews then sent Sheamus to the steps and then went back to the ring. Big corner splash and another running cross body by Crews connect. He then hit an enziguri and moonsault for a near fall. Sheamus fired back with a knee to the gut, and then a clothesline. He worked the 10 beats in the ropes. Crews low bridged Sheamus as he tried the brogue kick and then hit a clothesline off of the apron. They brawled on the floor, and Sheamus hit the Finlay roll. Sheamus set up the steps, but Crews hit a dropkick. Sheamus fired back with the kick and hit the brogue kick, sending Crews into the steps. That was good enough to get Sheamus the countout victory.

– They hype the WWE draft.

– We now get a video package for the Cena vs. Styles feud.

– The Club discusses the way that they have abused AJ Styles, and the Usos arrive. They claim that Styles can’t win on his own, and Jimmy Uso wants a one on one match with Styles. Styles promises no Club, you have my word. Styles agree, but Uso pulls back the handshake to be a dick.

AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso: JIP with some basic back and forth. Uso tries to se his speed, but Styles trips him up and starts to outwrestle him a bit. They work to the corner, and chops by Uso follow. He then clotheslines Styles to the floor, and Styles counters the baseball slide dropkick and slams Uso to the steps. Styles took the heat, working over Uso and applying a chinlock. Uso fought back with an enziguri, but Styles connected with the PELE. Styles then went for the springboard, but Uso superkicked his leg, causing Styles to crash and burn. Chops and rights by Uso followed, and then the Samoan drop got a near fall. Uso went for the corner charge, missed but then hit the superkick. Doc and Karl arrived and beat down Jey on the floor. Jimmy hit a big dive to take them out, but Styles hit the flying forearm to the floor and took out both Usos. Back in, Styles hit the forearm again and that was that.

– We get clips of the New Day/Wyatts segment from Raw.

Non-Title Match: Champions The New Day w/Woods vs. The Vaudevillains: Kofi started off well enough, but English got a blind tag, and that allowed the Vaudevillains to take control. Thy worked quick tags and isolated Kofi early, claiming that they were real men. Kofi came back with a spin kick and tag to Big E, who tossed the Vaudevillains around with suplexes. He then danced and hit the running splash. It broke down, Kofi and English to the floor, where Kofi took him out. New Day hit the midnight hour and that was that.

– The Wyatts appeared backstage, and Bray cut a promo about what men do with power. New Day preaches positivity, but he is the eater of worlds and they are making a big mistake. Woods was terrified as Bray told them that new Day would fall. “Run.”

– We get our weekly Darren Young and Bob Backlund video package that feels as if is going nowhere.

– Sami Zayn in interviewed and asked about his brawl on Raw with Kevin Owens. Zayn wanted to put the rivalry to rest because he can’t move forward unless he does. Tonight he faces Seth Rollins, and he wants to move on with this match. Rollins is one of the best, and if he can beat him, he will make a big statement.

– Renee catches up with Dana and Charlotte. Charlotte says Dana is officially first class, and they promise to dominate anyone that gets in their way. Renee asks about the return of Sasha Banks, and Charlotte says she may be the boss, but she’s the queen and Sasha will bow down.

Dana Brooke w/Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch: Dana took control with knees to the gut right away, and then worked shoulder blocks in the corner. Lynch fought back with a boot and rights, but Dana sidestepped her charge. Charlotte then distracted Lynch, Dana with a shot to the ribs and then got the roll up for the win. The heels continue to cheat, and Lynch is supposed to be the lovable loser, emphasis on loser. Also, they have NO confidence in Dana, as they keep every singles outing (even the ones with Lynch) very short. Post match, the heels beat down Lynch and sent her to the floor. Sasha Banks arrived; Charlotte was not thrilled as Banks wanted to fight. Charlotte bailed and then Banks stopped the sneak attack of Dana, and hit the backstabber into the Banks Statement, making Dana tap.

– Dean Ambrose joins the commentary team.

Seth Rollins vs. Sami Zayn: they went back and forth, with Rollins getting the better of things and getting cocky. He was really playing to Ambrose on commentary. Zayn picked up the speed, hit the head scissors and followed with chops in the corner. Zayn was doing well, but went for a springboard, which Rollins countered and sent him to the floor. Ambrose came across more reserved on commentary here, as opposed to Raw, which came across better because he was still entertaining but did not overtake the match. Rollins took the heat as we took a commercial break. Post break, Rollins was in control and then hit the falcon arrow (HE DID THE DEAL) for a near fall. Rollins then connected with sling blade for another near fall. Rollins started to get over confident, allowing Zayn to connect with a stiff lariat. Good intensity by Zayn here on the comeback, leading to Rollins bailing to the floor. Rollins was distracted, jawing with Ambrose, allowing Zayn to level him with a clothesline. He rolled him back in and hit the high cross for a near fall. They went into a series of counters, but Zayn hit the blue thunder driver for a near fall. Zayn set for the helluva kick, but Rollins hit the charging kick to counter and then followed with the buckle bomb. Zayn countered the superkick into a roll up for a near fall. Zayn then scored with the tornado DDT, but Rollins again took a powder. Big dive by Zayn followed, he rolled Rollins back in but Rollins grabbed him right away and hit the desperation pedigree to pick up the victory.

– Ambrose and Rollins argued post match, and then Rollins attacked. They brawled into the ring, but Rollins escaped before Ambrose could hit dirty deeds.

* End scene.
