– Shane McMahon, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton are watching footage of Orton’s RKO on Brock last night. Shane says it was awesome, but Orton put them in danger because Brock will be looking for revenge. They have security set to watch out for Brock, which Orton was not pleased with because he feels he can take out Brock on his own. After Orton left, the Miz is here and pissed off because he hasn’t been treated as a big deal. Bryan said he was excited to draft the IC Title, and was getting a triple threat tonight between Baron Corbin, Apollo “Creed” (whoops!) and Kalisto, the winner gets a IC Title shot at Summerslam. Ambrose then said he was heading to the ring to talk to his people.

Dean Ambrose Talks: Ambrose reminded everyone that he was the world champion, and got here by busting his ass and beating his former brothers in the Shield. But now Dolph Ziggler earned a title shot at Summerslam, and he invited Ziggler to the ring. Ziggler told Ambrose that he was a big fan, and that they were similar in a lot of ways. Ambrose disagreed with that statement, because Ziggler is all show while Ambrose is all go. Ambrose said that he clawed to get this title, and worked his way to the top. Ziggler said he came from the bottom, starting as a male cheerleader and didn’t arrive on the scene with a swat team. Ambrose then claimed that Ziggler wasted his chances complaining, while he proved everyone wrong and became the champion. Ambrose then ran down Ziggler for worrying too much about what people thing about him, say about him and stealing the show. He then said he now had a chance at the title, but that he would lose at Summerslam. Sure, he’ll steal the show and make highlights, but Ambrose will win. Ziggler then claimed he wanted to be a wrestler since he was 5, was a star at Kent State University, and he is the guy that for the last seven years has been disrespected and overlooked. He will burn Brooklyn to the ground, win the title and prove that he is that damn good. Ambrose said he wouldn’t do any of that, and it won’t be because he was held back, it will be because Ziggler isn’t as good as he thinks he is.

– After Ambrose left, Bray Wyatt arrived and laid out Ziggler with sister Abigail. He called Ziggler pathetic and not worthy of being champion. Bray said Ziggler stole something from him, and challenged him to a match. If Ziggler wins, he proves that he is worthy, but if he loses, Bray will take his place at Summerslam. “Prove to me show off that you are that damn good.”

– Ziggler complains to Shane and Bryan, but then accepts the match. Bryan tries to talk him out of this, but Ziggler feels he has to prove himself and demands that they make the match official. They agree.

IC Title #1 Contender’s Match: Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews vs. Kalisto: Miz and Maryse are on commentary. Corbin took control right away, clubbing away on both guys. They eventually cleared him to the floor, Corbin would pull Crews to the floor and Kalisto hit a dive onto Corbin to send us to a break at about a minute in.

Post break, Corbin was in control with both of his opponents down. Crews tried to fire up, but Corbin cut him off. That allowed Kalisto to send Corbin to the floor, but Crews then got a Samoan drop on Kalisto for a near fall. Corbin back in, and scored a near fall with the deep six. Corbin kept attacking, Kalisto went for a RANA off the ropes but was caught; Crews then dropkicked them both and sent Corbin to the floor. Crews then rolled up Kalisto for the win.

– Post match Corbin attacked Kalisto, so Crews made the save. The Miz ran in and hit the skull crushing finale to Crews, but Corbin stood tall and laid out Miz with end of days. That was an overall good first step in building the IC Title division.

Eva Marie vs. Becky Lynch: Eva’s entrance gimmick is completely over the top and works perfectly for her. So Eva hopped off the ropes after posing and faked an injury. The trainer checked on her, and they announced that the match would not take place.

– Renee Young interviewed Carmella. She thinks Eva Marie is faking, and then Natalya arrived and felt that she should be interviewed. She claims she carried the division for the last 10-years, and says that she is wrestling royalty and should be leading division. They set up a match.

American Alpha vs. The Vaudevillains: I thought that American Alpha would get some jobbers to kill here. Gable got to sow off, outwrestling Gotch early on and tagging Jordan in. The Vaudevillains tried to fight back, but they got sent to the floor and Alpha celebrated. The Vaudevillains would get the heat on Gable, but that’s a generous term because no one cares about the Vaudevillains and the crowd died while they had control. Able got the tag to Jordan, he ran wild on the Vaudevillains with suplexes and then Alpha scored the win with grand amplitude.

– We get highlights of John Cena at the Teen Choice Awards.

AJ Styles Has a Message For John Cena: Styles says he is here to talk about John Cena, and Cena’s music hit and he was there. Cena said he was here so Styles can talk. Styles was not impressed because Cena makes everything about himself. He then joked about beating up Cena, and said he had a message for Cena and his fans. The crowd made fun of Styles’ soccer mom hair, which did not amuse him. Styles said that he beat Cena, he beat him up, but Cena is still here and he doesn’t want him here. Styles mocked the fans for following Cena, and claimed “Nashville has the weakest minds, trust me, I know.” He then explained that the stupid little kids follow Cena, who are delusional, just like their parents. These parents want participation trophies for their kids, and overall Cena is worse than them all. V then explained that you get trophies for winning, he is a winner and he beat Cena, so where is his trophy. Cena said Styles had issues, and never forced anyone to believe in anything and the crowd chants what they want. They got the crowd to get into a big “lets go Cena, Cena sucks” chant. Styles said he went through Cena at MITB, so why is Cena still here? Cena cut him off and said that Styles had to be responsible for his words, and got all fired up and said that he is still here because of love. Cena says he loves to see the kids excited, he loves when parents thanks him, but he can’t do it without them. He loves doing all of the TV appearances, because people always ask when he’ll leave WWE; he never will because it is him home. He doesn’t take days off, he’ll be on Colbert tomorrow in a ridiculous blue suit to support this show, but Styles is only here to be a good wrestler, and if he fails he’ll pack up and go somewhere else. Styles mockingly clapped for Cena and sad he knew Cena would say that, because he says it week after week. That’s also the John that doesn’t back away from a challenge. Styles challenges Cena to a match at Summerslam, one on one, no Club and no excuses. Cena said he needed to teach Styles a lesson, and agreed to the match. Styles said when he beats him, Cena will have to come on Smackdown and say Styles is better than he is, because if he doesn’t he’s a liar, but if he does, he’s a loser. “Either way, I win.”

Randy Orton vs. Fandango w/Tyler Breeze: Fandango tried to attack right away, but Orton fought back as the crowd chanted for an RKO. Orton stomped away on Fandango, Breeze distracted Orton and Fandango hit a dropkick and followed with strikes. Fandango worked a very bland heat consisting of a chinlock and well… a chinlock. Orton made his comeback, hit the snap slam and then one on Breeze. The hangman’s DDT followed, and then Lesnar arrived in the crowd. RKO on Fandango, but Lesnar hit he ring and hit the F5, which caused a DQ. Shane sent out security to remove Lesnar.

– We see Lesnar being escorted from the building. Heyman was pleased with his client, and joked with Shane about what Lesnar did.

– Heath Slater then appeared in Daniel Bryan’s office, claiming to be the biggest free agent in wrestling. Bryan said that he will give Slater a match next week, and if he wins, he gets a contract. Rhyno the gored the shit out of Slater. Bryan confirmed that he will be Slater’s opponent next week. He then called for a medic.

– Renee Young interviewed Dean Ambrose. He says anything can happen in regards to Ziggler defending his title shot against Wyatt tonight. Ambrose knew Wyatt would eventually come sniffing around the title, and said anything can happen.

– Backstage we see an angry Randy Orton being interviewed, sorta, he just walked away.

– Carmella made her way to the ring, doing her shtick to no reaction. Natalya attacked her during that and beat her down, and then applied the sharp shooter. Carmella tapped on the floor as Natalya stood tall, no match tonight.

– Daniel Bryan and Shane meet with Ziggler. They say that they believe in Ziggler, but want him to rethink his match with Wyatt tonight. He doesn’t think that they believe in him and said “screw you” before leaving.

For Ziggler’s Summerslam Title Shot: Dolph Ziggler vs. Bray Wyatt: Dean Ambrose is on commentary. No posing on the way to the ring for Ziggler, who is looking like he wants to prove himself. Ziggler immediately hit a dropkick and fameasser for a near fall. they went to the floor, where Bray took control with a clothesline and they worked back to the ring. Ziggler went for a roll up, got it, but appeared to roll up on Bray’s ankle/knee. Bray looked in pain, legit, as we went to a break. Post break they battled up top and Bray hit a superplex. Bray thankfully looks ok right now, working the heat and grounding Ziggler with a cravat. Ziggler escaped and fired back with elbows ad then clotheslines. Bray countered the superkick, hit a dump suplex and running senton for a near fall. Bray went to untie a turnbuckle pad, which allowed Ziggler to hit the zigzag for a good near fall. Ziggler then ripped off the turnbuckle pad, they had some back and forth and Bray planted Ziggler with the uranage for a near fall. This is picking up nicely, especially considering Bray nearly blew out a damn knee earlier. Bray then just beat down Ziggler, but Ziggler slammed Bray to the exposed buckle and hit the superkick and that was enough to score the win.

– Eric Rowan then attacked Ziggler post match, and Ambrose decided to be a nice guy and tried to make the save. That did not work out well for him, as he got beat down and tossed to the floor. Bray hit the Sister Abigail on Ziggler, and the Wyatts stood tall. I’ll assume this sets up a tag match for next week.
