* NOTE: Like in past G1s and the BOTSJ, I will be focusing on the tournament matches only.

Satoshi Kojima vs. Juice Robinson: Tenzan is at ringside with Kojima. They work a nice and solid back and forth, with Juice teasing pulp friction early on. Kojima then cut off Juice with a DDT and busted out the Tenzan like Mongolian chops before sending Juice to the floor. Kojima followed with a DDT to the apron, but Juice hit a shotgun dropkick, sending Kojima to the barricade. Back in the ring and Juice takes control, hitting a Saito suplex and senton. Juice laid in cops and strikes, but Kojima cut him off and worked the rapid-fire corner chops. Juice looked to fire back, but missed the cannonball, allowing Kojima to hit the top rope elbow for 2. Kojima started to take control, working the strikes, but ran into a spinebuster and Juice then hit the cannonball. Juice then hit the high cross for 2, but Kojima hit the Koji cutter for a near fall. He set Juice up top, but Juice hits the head butt to send Kojima to the mat. Kojima quickly fired up and crotches Juice on the ropes. Kojima then hit the cuter off the ropes, pulled down the elbow pad but Juice fought off the lariat; Kojima fought off pulp friction and hit the lariat to the back of Juice’s head. Kojima hits the brain buster, but Juice kicks out! Juice blocks another lariat, but then runs into one with the other arm but some how kicks out! Juice hits the big left, and pulp friction for the win. Juice Robinson defeated Satoshi Kojima @ 11:58 via pin [****] This was great, they played the young vs. old warrior theme very well, with the heavy tease that Juice was going to keep coming up short. But he kept fighting and just managed to outlast the loved veteran to pick up a HUGE singles win. This has great build from beginning to end and a heavily invested crowd, which only added to the match.

Michael Elgin vs. Tama Tonga: Tonga tried to fire up right away and shoulder block Elgin, but Elgin just brushed him off. Tonga tried a bunch of his misdirection stuff, but Elgin wanted nothing to do with that, cutting him off with the suplex, but missing the slingshot splash. Tonga then tripped up Elgin on the apron, leading to the floor brawl. Tonga took control for a bit, and then Elgin fired back with strikes and teased the powerbomb. Tonga escaped that, but Elgin hit the slingshot splash, hit corner clotheslines and then did the deal with falcon arrow. Large Michael then hit a series of rolling Germans, but Tonga cut him off with the Tonga twist. Head butts followed, Tonga did his misdirection spot and followed with a DDT for 2. Tonga goes for the misdirection again but eats a huge lariat from Elgin. Tonga quickly fought back, hitting an Alabama slam for 2. Tonga sets, looking for the gun stun but Elgin tosses him aside and drops the elbow pad but runs into a dropkick from Tonga. Elgin then slingshots into a gun stun, and rolls to the floor. Tonga tosses him back in and covers for 2. Tonga heads up top, gets cut off and Elgin lays in strikes. He follows Tonga up, and Elgin looks for the DVD but Tonga turns it into a gun stun and picks up the win! Tama Tonga defeated Tama Tonga @ 14:00 via pin [***] Good match, with Tonga picking up a big win in a hard fought match. It lacked the intensity of the opener, and they never quite captured the crowd; it was good overall, but felt like it was missing something.

SANADA vs. EVIL: EVIL offers the handshake, and then attacks. SANADA low bridges him to the floor and EVIL brings in a chair. EVIL punches it into his face and sends SANADA to the floor. They brawl and EVIL works him over with a chair and does the baseball swing spot with the chairs to take down SANADA. SANADA beats the count, but EVIL curb stomps him on the apron. Back in and EVIL hits the side slam for a near fall. SANADA tries to fire back, but EVIL takes him down hitting the senton for a near fall. SANADA fires back with a dropkick, and then ties up EVIL in the paradise lock and dropkicks EVIL in the ass, covering for 2. SANADA rakes the eyes, but EVIL hits the lariat and fisherman’s buster for 2. EVIL sends SANADA to the floor; heads up top and SANADA cuts him off. EVIL works a dragon sleeper in the corner, but SANADA comes back and hits a cutter to the floor. They tease the double count out, and trade strikes back in the ring. EVIL then hits the head butt, knee strike and lariat for 1. SANADA follows with the Saito suplex, goes for the skull end, but EVIL suplexes him to the buckles. EVIL hits darkness falls for the near fall. SANADA then fire back with a springboard missile dropkick, and follows with the TKO for 2. SANADA heads up top and MISSES the moonsault. EVIL locks in the banshee muzzle submission, SANADA fights and makes the ropes. EVIL then kills SANADA with a huge lariat for 2. SANADA counters the STO, hits a tiger suplex and that gets 2. SANADA hits the spin kick and looks for skull end, but EVIL escapes and hits the rolling forearm. SANADA counters the STO into skull end, and drops to the mat and EVIL slides out but SANADA locks it back in and EVIL makes the ropes. SANADA slams EVIL down, hits the moonsault and covers for the win. SANADA defeated EVIL @ 15:50 via pin [***¾] It took a bit to get going, but they ended up having a very good match. I felt that they played the fact that they knew each other very well, making for some interesting exchanges and near falls down the stretch.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Toru Yano: They dick around with Yano doing his rope break spots and then attacking Okada and taking him to the floor for some brawling. Okada and Yano play with the turnbuckles, but Okada then whips Yano to the barricade. Okada works over Yano on the floor, and then takes control back in the ring. Okada hits the slingshot senton, and mocks Yano to some jeers. And now we’re working rest holds. Yano goes for the hair pull spot, but then tosses the ref into Okada and takes off the buckle pad and hits Okada with it. He tosses it to Gedo and tells the ref about it, but Okada fights back only to get slammed to the exposed buckle. Yano avoids the dropkick and trips Okada to the exposed buckle and rolls him up for 2. Okada slams Yano to the exposed buckle, and hits the neck breaker, but Yano rolls to the floor. Yano takes out Gedo, but Okada to the floor and attacks. Jado then cuts off Okada, and Yano shoves them together and Yano low blows Jado, Gedo & Okada for the double countout tease. Okada finally hits the dropkick, but Yano counters the rainmaker into a roll up for 2. Okada blocks a low blow, but Yano cradles him for another near fall. Yano pulls the hair, but Okada locks in red ink. Yano taps. Kazuchika Okada defeated Toru Yano @ 10:29 via submission [**] This wasn’t bad, it just went too long. There is no need for Toru Yano to go 10-minutes with Okada when they could have accomplished the same thing in half the time. Stay in your lane, which is the short Yano match. This had its entertaining moments, but just felt overly long to me.

Kenny Omega vs. Minoru Suzuki: Omega looks tentative and even scared of Suzuki. Suzuki slaps him around a bit; Omega fires up and they trade strikes and work to the corner. They trade big time chops, Omega hits the RANA and looks for a dive but Suzuki kicks him in the face to put an end to that. Suzuki works the arm bar in the ropes, and then hits the PK from the apron. They brawl on the floor as Suzuki works over Omega’s knee in the barricade, bending it in unpleasant ways. They brawl up the entranceway, with Omega fighting back with chair shots and making his way back to the ring. Suzuki back in and Omega hits the Finlay roll, and then hits a one legged moonsault for the near fall. Omega fires away with chops, but Suzuki likes it, and smiles at him. Omega looks for the V trigger, but Suzuki pulls the ref in the way. Omega hits Suzuki with the V trigger, and then TAKA, Taichi, & Desperado hit the ring and beat down Omega. Chase Owens is out, but they take him out. Fale is here, no sells the chair shots and does the roar spot before clearing the ring. Omega then hits a dive from the top, over the railing onto the Suzuki-gun goofs. Omega looks for a missile dropkick, but Suzuki catches him and locks in a knee bar. Suzuki keeps it locked on forever, transitioning into different variations and Omega finally makes the ropes. Omega tries to rally throwing chops and forearms, but Suzuki fires back and drops him. Suzuki dares Omega to fire back, but largely no sells Omega’s attempts to fight back. Suzuki sweeps the leg, and then just beats the hell out of Omega. Omega hits a V trigger and snapdragon suplex for 2. Suzuki counters the one winged angle into a heel hook and then transitions into an ankle lock. Suzuki then transitions to a sleeper, but Omega slams him to the mat for the break. Suzuki locks in the sleeper again, goes for the Gotch piledriver, but Omega fights it off and hits a desperation V trigger. Suzuki then cuts him off with a dropkick, but Omega hits two more V triggers for a near fall. Omega hits two more V triggers, the one winged angel and picks up the win. Kenny Omega defeated Minoru Suzuki @ 21:10 via pin [**½] I liked how they played the beginning, with Omega showing some fear, which he never does, to put over Suzuki as a killer. I thought that set a great tine for the match. But there was absolutely no need for the ref bump, or the run ins during this match. It added nothing to the match, and came off as something to do just because they could do it. Oh wait, Kenny got to do a dive, that was the point of it all. They were telling this great story of Omega trying to overcome this movie like monster that kept attacking and wouldn’t die. At the end of the day, Suzuki-gun can fuck off. There was no need to over book the match, this was a disappointment.

Night two was a good show, but not on the level of night one. Kojima vs. Juice & SANADA vs. EVIL are the matches really worth your time.
