Like the BOTSJ & The G1, I will be only covering the tournament matches.

Block A Match: Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa defeated Yujiro Takahashi & Hangman Page: I can be really hard on Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa, they have improved overall as a team over the last year, working better as a team and occasionally delivering some good efforts. But to me one, of the main issues is that they are presented as this bad ass team, who works with very little aggression, and they arrive to near silence and do very little to engage the crowd and turn them around. This was a match of two teams from Bullet Club, so of course they didn’t want to fight each other. Instead, they teased walking out together for the double count out. But it was all a trick as Tonga ran the 40-yard dash back to the ring in order to try and steal the win. After some banter and shenanigans, we finally got the Bullet Club vs. Bullet Club clash; they should have kept walking to the back. Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa defeated Yujiro Takahashi & Hangman Page @ 11:23 via pin [**] Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa worked hard here, but Takahashi and Page have even less heat than they do; the crowd was lucky not to be pulled into a wormhole of suck. This was another in a long line of average t best, but completely forgettable matches in the tournament.

Block A Match: Tetsuya Naito & Rush defeated War Machine: War Machine has been a joy to watch throughout the tournament; two guys busting their asses and impressing and hopefully earning some dates in 2017. Rush’s return has rejuvenated Naito a bit and I hope to see more of him in 2017. On one side you have the unified front of War Machine, working with a purpose and aggression and looking as if they want to win matches more than anything. And then you have Rush and Naito all “Tranquilo” on the other side. While I like Rush, he and Naito are far from a great team as far as the work goes. They aren’t a regular team, which is a lot of the issue. Tetsuya Naito & Rush defeated War Machine @ 13:33 via pin [***] The match was good, with War Machine continuing to shine brighter than anyone in the tournament but they felt as if they were working on a way higher level than Rush and Naito, I also felt like War Machine had to slow down a lot; they just work with so much energy ad fire right now and it’s great to see. They have made the most of this chance, and during this down period where nothing really feels special or important, I love seeing guys taking the opportunity given to them and thriving.

It was another night, one that simply existed and unfortunately there is nothing must see on this one.
