Like the BOTSJ & The G1, I will be only covering the tournament matches.

Block B Match: SANADA & EVIL defeated Yoshitatsu & Billy Gunn: The Japanese fans love them some Billy Gunn. I hope he comes back in January for THE RAMBO. Gunn and SANADA started things off, SANADA used a ton of short cuts early to take control, and then Yoshitatsu tagged in to slow things down before they could become fun. EIL sent Gunn to the floor, worked him over and SANADA took the heat on Yoshitatsu. They constantly work the heat on Yoshitatsu, and NO ONE EVER CARES ABOUT HIM. Most times the heels get cheered for kicking his ass. The work from EVIL & SANADA was very good, so good that we even got a small “Yoshitatsu” rally chant. HOT TAG TO MR ASS! He no sold an EVIL clothesline and told him to fuck off before hitting the chokeslam. EVIL and SANADA cut off Gunn, Yoshitatsu tried and failed in making the save. Yoshitatsu tried for a pedigree, SANADA escaped, EVIL took out Gunn but SANADA kicked the ropes into his balls. He got sent to the floor, EVIL & SANADA worked over Yoshitatsu with a chair, and then SANADA submitted Yoshitatsu with the dragon sleeper for the win. SANADA & EVIL defeated Yoshitatsu & Billy Gunn @ 9:22 via submission [**] This was a perfectly solid match, thanks to the strong teamwork of SANADA & EVIL and the fact that the crowd is so into Billy Gunn. Yoshitatsu continues to be the weak link in these matches.

Block B Match: Kenny Omega & Chase Owens vs. Bad Luck Fale & BONE SOLDIER: BULLET CLUB EXPLODES. Omega asks Fale to let Owens pin BONE SOLDIER because, “Look at him… he sucks! Chase and I can win this, come on, please?” Omega kept calling BONE SOLDIER a piece of shit, and then demanded he get to pin him, but BONE SOLDIER got a sneaky roll up for 2. Omega was NOT AMUSED BY THIS. Omega went for the one winged angel, but Fale made the save. Dissension in the ranks! Fale got pissed when Omega did the tough guy chest pokey thing. Owens tried to help, butt only pissed off Fale and got his ass beat. Omega escaped the Fale grenade, fired up but BONE SOLDIER got another roll up for 2. BONE SOLDIER then missed the top rope head butt, Owens got the hot tag he and Owens argued a bit, BONE SOLDIER got another roll up on Omega, but Owens then hit the package piledriver on BONE SOLDIER for the win. Kenny Omega & Chase Owens vs. Bad Luck Fale & BONE SOLDIER @ 7:41 via pin [*½] Booking wise, it was what it needed to be, the right pair went over, and the heel teams arguing over who should win, only to try and fuck each other over, is something that works. I think Omega can be too giving with comedy acts, he’s about to main event the dome, but bless him he created some good near falls with BONE SOLDIER.

Block B Match: Katsuyori Shibata & Yuji Nagata defeated Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma: Makabe and Shibata started thing off, they worked “who is more of tough guy” spots, and then Nagata and Honma worked a stretch together. Shibata and Nagata took the heat on Honma, as expected, with Nagata laying in kicks to Honma. Makabe would get the tag, work over Nagata for a bit with mounted strikes in the corner and then the northern lights suplex for 2. Nagata used what worked, laying in kicks on Makabe. Makabe cut him off with strikes, and then hit big lariat. Honma returned with chops for Nagata, and then hit the running bulldog, but missed the falling kokeshi. Shibata in now and just kicked the shit out of Honma in the corner. Shibata then worked a guillotine, but Honma tried to escape and it broke down with all four in. Makabe hit lariats to Shibata and Nagata, and the powerbomb got a near fall on Shibata. Shibata escaped the doomsday kokeshi and then worked the sleeper on Makabe. Nagata and Shibata hit suplexes on Makabe for a near fall, sleeper by Shibata and Makabe dropped. The PK to Honma (who jumped in front of Makabe) Nagata and Shibata took turns beating the shit out of him., PK to Makabe, and Shibata & Nagata finally pick up a win after a disappointing run so far. Honma and Makabe continue to struggle as they can’t find the magic from last year. Katsuyori Shibata & Yuji Nagata defeated Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma @ 10:58 via pin [***] That was a good and hard hitting match, with great intensity and the feeling that both teams were doing everything in their power to win. It had a level or intensity that most of these tournament matches lack.

Block B Match: Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI defeated Hirooki Goto & Tomohiro Ishii : CHAOS EXPLODES! With CHAOS the faces, I liked how this was completely different from the BULLET CLUB match, these guys are here to compete and win, no “lay down and let me win shit.” Okada and Goto to begin basic back and forth with Goto finding some earl success, overpowering Okada. Ishii and HASHI then tagged in, HASHI decided he wanted to exchange strikes, which was a poor choice. Little brother HASHI held his own for a while, but Ishii started to light him up with chops. Ishii and Goto then took the heat on HASHI, they also cut off Okada and worked him over on the floor. Goto then scored with the elbow drop for a near fall on HASHI. HASHI fired up after his big brothers laid the boots to him for a while, but Ishii stopped that bullshit with head butts. HASHI managed to fight off the brainbuster and hit the neck breaker on Ishii for the double down spot. Okada tagged in, ran wild on Ishii with corner elbows and the DDT for 2. They then battled center ring, Ishii looked to powerbomb Okada, but he escaped and they traded strikes and talked shit to each other. Ishii folded up Okada with a German, but the flapjack by Okada cut him off. Goto then got the tag, HASHI lit him up with chops and the neck breaker. This was a really nice and energetic comeback by HASHI here as he worked over Goto. They traded forearms, HASHI then got the butterfly lock as Okada cut off Ishii. The struggle spots here were well done and the crowd responded to them very well. HASHI sorta hit a senton on Goto, he appeared to graze him, allowing Goto to fight back with the backdrop suplex for a near fall. Ushigoroshi to HASHI, and then Goto and Ishii hit the lariat/Russian leg sweep combo for a good near fall. The crowd bought into it well. Big Lariat by HASHI to Goto out of desperation for the double down, Ishii got the tag and cut off Okada, set HASHI up top and hit the super brainbuster for a great near fall. HASHI laid in kicks to Ishii and Goto, go the hot tag to Okada and he ran wild for a bit, scoring near falls on Ishii. The elbow drop followed, uppercut to Goto. They built the drama well here, and did some nice teases and went home at just the right time. Goto returned, leading to a near fall on Okada, doing a wonderful job of making I appear either team could win. Okada finally fought off both men with the help of HASHI, did some good call backs to his G1 match with Ishii and hit the rainmaker on Ishii to take the win. This was worth your time for sure, with tremendous home stretch. Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI defeated Hirooki Goto & Tomohiro Ishii @ 18:50 via pin [****] This was an excellent tag match, one of the best of the entire tournament do far. It featured great work, a great layout, excellent drama and it did not overstay its welcome in any way. Everyone looked great and it felt as if they went all out to win. I needed this match, and so did the tournament.

The final score: review Not So Good
The 411
This is a one-match show, but it was an insanely fun one match. Not a MOTY contender by any means, but it was one of the best matches of the whole tournament. It was also moving day for Block B, as things have tightened up in the overall standings.
