OFFICIAL RESULTS
– ACH defeated Cedric Alexander @ 11:25 via pin [***¼]
– Caprice Coleman defeated Will Ferrara @ via submission [**½]
– The Briscoe Brothers defeated The All Night Express @ 11:30 via pin [***¾]

ACH defeated Cedric Alexander w/Veda Scott: Commentary reminds us that ACH is heading to the final match in his best of five with Matt Sydal. Unfortunately they also remind us about the horrible legal angle where Veda Scott is trying to sue ROH for an unsafe working environment. Hey went basic early, and then kicked up the pacing big time and put on a pretty wild display for about 20-seconds, featuring cool counters and such. Alexander would cut ACH off and then work some strikes on the ground and then lay in some chops. ACH fought back with some kicks and went to continue the attack, but Scott distracted him, allowing Alexander to hit an STO on the apron. This sent us to break, and when we came back Alexander had the heat on ACH, connecting with a series of suplexes. ACH avoided a corner attack and hit a reverse kick and started to run wild. ACH would then hit a run up dive to the floor, which really got the crowd into a frenzy. Alexander then hit a great counter into a Michinoku driver late for a near fall. They did a great series of counters after that, and then Alexander went for a springboard, “but slipped” off the ropes, and ACH hit a superkick, brainbuster and then the 450 for the win. The right guy won, as ACH is in the middle of his series with Sydal. The “slip” was an intentional spot, likely to play up the lawsuit angle. That was a really fun match to kick off the show.

* Kelly interviewed ACH about the final match with Sydal, and said he would go into the match with the mentality he had in the matches with AJ and Samoa Joe, but this time he will walk out with the victory.

* Nigel promised to address the Steve Corino situation next week.

* Post break, Scott and Alexander complained about the slippery ropes and say baby oil needs to be banned from ROH.

Caprice Coleman defeated Will Ferrara: We see footage of Prince Nana handing Coleman an envelope. Pre-match, Coleman tells the crowd to appreciate Ferarra and puts him over for his hard work, but wanted some of the matches that Ferrara recently had. He then promised that he hadn’t shown Ferarra all of his tricks. They did some basic back and forth, with Ferrara getting the advantage early. This frustrated Coleman a bit, and he got more aggressive. Ferarra tried to work the arm, but Coleman cut him off and beat him down in the corner. Commentary did a solid job playing off of the pre-match interview, noting that Coleman was a mentor to Ferrara. Good back and forth action, and we then see Prince Nana arrive at ringside, taking notes. Coleman controlled mostly through out, with Ferrara getting some hope spots until he posted himself. Coleman then got vicious, posting Ferrara again and then attacking the shoulder. He then locked in half nelson/camel clutch combo and picked up the win. Coleman then shook hands and gave a quick hug prior to leaving. Post match Nana handed Ferrara an envelope. The plot thickens. Good story told here of the mentor that got frustrated, and decided to work a more aggressive, and later dirty game plan to win the match.

* Adam Cole (BAY BAY) hosted Inside ROH. He had images of his foes hanging up on set, with their faces crossed off and what appeared to be some nicknames. We then got footage of Cole defeating O’Reilly in last week’s three-way match. We then get highlights of their match from 2012, where Future Shock collided in their breakout match. Cole reminds us that he won, became a star and left O’Reilly behind. This was the match that Cole got his lip badly split open. He cannot fathom how anyone could think that O’Reilly could become ROH Champion, and he will not stop until O’Reilly is gone from ROH.

* Kelly tried to interview Prince nana about the envelopes he’s been giving out. Nana promised that this was an age of enlightenment, and he’s giving out the stapes to success. He is far from done.

The Briscoe Brothers defeated The All Night Express: The All Night Express returned at All Star Extravaganza, and picked up the big win in their return match. We see footage of that before this match. Nice work from Mark early on, we sometimes forget with all of the brawling and redneck kung fu that mark can actually wrestle. He did well against both King and Titus; Jay would get the tag, but ANX worked some double teams and took control. ANX worked a short heat; Mark got the tag and ran wild including a dive onto King. The Briscoes then worked over Titus a bit, using some double teams and they took control of things. Mark worked over Titus until Titus managed to get a modified snake eyes, but Jay ran in to stop the possible tag. They worked through the break, King got the hot tag post break and ran wild with some kicks and suplexes, Jay had to save Mark during a near fall. They then worked a very frantic, and fun closing stretch. Things felt really even through out, and had a nice sense of urgency; the Briscoes needed to win to get even with the returning team and to also stay in the tag title hunt. It got crazier as both teams blocked the others tandem finishers, we got some dives and then the Jay Driller and Froggy Bow scored the win for the Briscoes. That was a pretty damn great match to close out the show. They shook hands out of respect, with both teams knowing that they are 1-1 and that they will go to battle again.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The final score: review Good
The 411
This was a good show this week, and again an improvement over the previous week’s event. We had a good opener, a very good main event and the middle match was fine. The Adam Cole Inside ROH segment came off very well, as did the small work to advance the Prince Nana angle. I have no love for the stupid lawsuit angle with Scott and Alexander, which came off as the weakest part of the show to me. This was a really easy, and fun hour to watch
