Aries & Gallagher Share a Pint: Due to the recent actions of TJP & Neville, Aries and Gallagher have become allies. Gallagher welcome the fans and gets “Jacky Boy” chants. He discusses his issues with TJP (calling him Theodore Jeeves Perkins) and Neville, and then brings out Aries. Aries is eating a banana. Gallagher wants to express his gratitude and would love to toast to him tonight. Gallagher says Aries did a good deed, and says that he and William will make sure he makes his title match, noting that honor dictates it. Gallagher grabs some pints from a ringside attendant; Aries notes that he’s more of a red wine guy to jeers. Aries accepts as Gallagher sings “for he’s a jolly good fellow.” Neville gives no fucks about this and interrupts, calling this whole thing pathetic. Neville says Gallagher is a parody of an Englishman. Neville then calls England a parody of itself. Aries then runs down Neville, reminding him that he got intentionally DQ’d to keep his title. Neville says Aries has failed twice to take his crown, and says this will be Aries’ last appearance on 205 Live; TJP attacks, and Neville joins in. Gallagher makes the save, but Neville sends him to the barricade. They all brawl to the floor, with Aries sending both TJP and Neville to the barricade; he and Neville brawl over the announce table as Gallagher MISTS TJP with beer and head butts him. Aries then lays out Neville with the rolling forearm. Aries and Gallagher then complete their toast. Fun opening segment, playing well off of the established feuds, and likely setting up a tag match for next week’s show.

– Swann meets with Dar and Fox. They run down Swann, with Fox saying she threw Swann to the curb, just like Cedric Alexander. Dar promises to give Swann what he deserves.

Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese: This is a rematch from two-weeks ago. Nese takes some time to pose; Ali is not impressed. Nese then takes control, grounding Ali. Ali picks up the pace, hitting arm drags and then locking in the octopus hold. Nese then cuts him off with a knee strike, Ali then shows off some flippity doos, hits the dropkick and follows with a dive. Gulak is backstage watching, and is shocked at these events. They brawl on the floor, with Nese slamming Ali to the barricade and then off of the commentary table. Back in they go as Nese talks trash, Ali with a cradle but runs into a lariat by Nese. Nese then hits a dead lift suplex onto the ropes, and covers for 2. Nese then works the torture rack. Ali escapes with rights but Nese trips him up and follows with a springboard moonsault for 2. Mounted rights by Nese follow, takes Ali to the corner, but Ali cuts him off with a dropkick. Nese stops the top rope RANA, but Ali keeps fighting and hits it anyway. Ali fires up with rights, hits the spin kick and then the enziguri and rolling neck breaker. Nese to the floor, Ali hits a running RANA off of the apron and back in, Ali hits the high cross for 2. Nese slams Ali to the corner; they trade chops and Ali with a roll up for 2. Great counters from Nese, kicks and the double stomp follow for 2. Ali counters the pump handle slam and hits the tornado DDT; the imploding 450 finishes it. Mustafa Ali defeated Tony Nese @ 10:30 via pin [***] Good match with Ali picking up the hard fought win against Gulak’s friend ahead of their likely rematch.

– Ariya Daivari is upset that the guy shining his boots did a shit job. He bumps into Tozawa and yells at him.

– Cedric Alexander is returning soon.

Akira Tozawa vs. Brian Kendrick: they have been feuding for three months at this point. Kendrick attacks at the bell, looking for revenge after Tozawa’s attack last week. Tozawa fires back, the crowd loves him. Tozawa escapes the sunset flip, kicks Kendrick in the face and hits the senton for 2. Kendrick smartly avoids the suicide dive, follows him out and they brawl on the floor. Kendrick cuts him off, slamming him to the commentary table and then hitting sliced bread on the floor. Tozawa beats the count, but Kendrick lays the boots to him right away and hits a butterfly suplex for 2. Kendrick then grounds Tozawa, working his submission game. Kendrick then transitions to a modified camel clutch, they scream back and forth at each other as Kendrick maintains the hold. Tozawa manages to escape, fires up and they trade forearm strikes. Tozawa then hits the RANA, sends Kendrick to the floor and hits the suicide head butt. Back in they go, Tozawa up top, leaps over Kendrick and then hits the running boot and shining wizard for 2. Tozawa fires up the crowd, picks Kendrick up but Kendrick fights him off and hits the leg lariat. Kendrick then hits a dragon suplex and transitions into the captain’s hook; Tozawa escapes, hits a sidekick and then a Saito suplex for 2. Tozawa up top again, but MISES the senton; Kendrick locks in the captain’s hook but Tozawa to his feet, escapes and eats a kick to the face but counters sliced bread into a cradle for the win. Akira Tozawa defeated Brian Kendrick @ 9:45 via pin [***¼ ] This was a good match to close out the show, but overall I wasn’t a big fan of the booking of it. The feud needs to end, as it simply feels as it is dragging on at this point. Tozawa may have won, but with the post match attack, this feud must continue.

– Kendrick attacks post match, repeatedly slamming Tozawa to the steps. He then traps Tozawa in the steps and stomps away at him. he then told Tozawa that he’s through with him, because no one messes with Brian Kendrick.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The final score: review Good
The 411
I wasn’t a big fan of last week’s show, but felt that they rebounded well here with a more compact and to he point show. The opening segment was fun and played off of the established feuds well, and while the post main event booking wasn’t ideal, the wrestling was good; overall a good show this week.
