Destination America Ratings Information Offers Insight Into Why They Picked Up TNA Impact

November 28, 2014 | Posted by Joseph Lee

– For those wondering why Destination America decided to pick up TNA Impact Wrestling, here is some ratings information for the network. The highest-rated program on the network was an episode of Buying Alaska that had 535,000 viewers two weeks ago. It had the best average ever a few weeks ago with 214,000 weekly viewers. They usually get between 100,000 and 200,000 viewers in primetime. Their bigger shows are doing better and in the 200,000 range.

TNA will be considered a “flagship” show when they join next year. Impact reguarly has an average of around a million viewers. If these people follow the company to a new network and the show gains new fans, it could be good news. However, Spike TV reaches almost 99 million American homes and is available in Canada. Destination America isn’t available in Canada and only reaches 60 million US homes.
