Winners- The Osirian Portal ***1/4 (This match was chalk full of MOVEZ~!!! This was a wild scramble match with obviously no flow or attempt at psychology but it had a nice blend of goofiness and crazy action so it worked perfectly as an opener. )

John Silver vs. Colin Delaney
They battle for control to start and we reach a stalemate. Roll-up by Delaney gets 2 and Silver tosses Delaney out of the corner. Leg lariat by Delaney and he chops away on Silver. Silver returns the favor and again tosses Delaney out of the corner. Second rope ace crusher by Silver gets 2. Winner- John Silver ***1/4 (This was a damn good little match. I haven’t watched Delaney work in ages and he has really developed into a proficient technical wrestler. Silver plays a fun role of little guy with freakiest strength and these two had a really fun contest with the intensity casually picking up as the match went along. I’d love to see them throw down again. )

Cash hits the Alabama Slam on Montero and Da Hoodz hit the Hood Stomp for 2!!! Tandem Tombstone to Montero gets 3.
Winners- Da Hoodz **1/2 (Fun little sprint. Da Hoodz surprisingly gave The Influence a ton of offense here but still got the strong win heading into their tournament match with the Young Bucks the next night. )

Silver Ant vs. Matt Tremont
Cravat by Silver Ant and he attempts to work the arm but Tremont goes to the ropes to break. Tremont overpowers Silver Ant and he catches Silver Ant with a Samoan Drop for 2. They trade head butts and Silver Ant grabs the short arm scissors. Tremont rolls Silver Ant up to force the break and Silver Ant throws more head butts. Shotgun dropkick by Silver Ant and he goes up. Silver Ant fights him off and he hits the Frog Splash for 2. Inside cradle off of the bad arm by Silver Ant gets 3!!!!
Winner- Silver Ant ***1/2 (On paper, this looked like the weirdest combination I’ve ever seen in the ring. However, in execution this was outstanding. Silver Ant used his technical prowess, especially his use of arm work to dominant the brawler Tremont and made Tremont work HIS match and all the arm work paid off with a win. Props to these two as this went way beyond my expectations going in. )

Pepper Parks and Cherry Bomb vs. Drew Gulak and Kimber Lee
Parks and Gulak start. Parks decides to pose instead of engaging and Bomb tags in. She doesn’t want Gulak so she tags back out to Parks. Forearms by Cherry but Gulak slams her into the ropes to end that for 2. Tag to Lee and they hit a double release atomic drop for 2. Tag to Parks and hwe delivers the Airplane spin. Gulak saves and Lee catches Parks with the Alligator Clutch for 3!!!
Winners- Drew Gulak and Kimber Lee **3/4 (Solid mixed tag match. Gulak’s grappling style really didn’t work in this type of match as it made for a weird dynamic with the more character oriented Parks. The Lee/Cherry Bomb weren’t all that special either and they had better exchanges with their male counterparts. Again, the match was decent but it wasn’t at the quality these four are capable of. )

Two out of Three Falls- Dave Cole vs. Anthony Stone
Fall 1: Stone catches Cole with corner dropkicks to start and he hits a bulldog into the turnbuckle. Springboard forearm by Stone gets 2. Fall 2: Stone blocks a Wheelbarrow roll-up attempt for 3!!! Tied 1-1.

Fall 3: Corner seated sentons by Cole and they head to the floor. Stone attempts a double knee strike from the apron but Cole blocks and hot shots him onto the apron. Pele by Stone and Cole comes back with a lariat. Release double underhook powerbomb by Cole gets 2. They go up and Cole blocks the Frankensteiner. He leaps but Stone catches him with a dropkick on the way down. Stone puts Cole in the tree of woe and he hits the Coast to Coast. They fight on the apron and they head up top. Stone botches a spot and crashes to the floor. Back in, they head back up and Cole hits the Dave Cole Bomb off the top for 3!!!
Winner- Dave Cole ***1/2 (Man, these two through caution to the wind and had an insanely paced two out of three falls match. They didn’t hold anything back and went a mile a minute for the duration. There were certain spots that weren’t crisp and Stone was a tad bit reckless but this was a blast and I would have loved to see how good this could have been if they had more time to develop a story to go along with the action. )

Jay Freddie vs. Brian Fury
Feeling out process to start and we reach a stale mate. They continue to grapple without anyone gaining an advantage and Fury gets a small package for 2. Sharpshooter by Fury but Freddie makes the ropes to break. They botch a roll-up sequence and Fury hits Diamond Dust. Pump handle suplex by Fury driving Freddie into the corner!!! They go up and Freddie catches Fury with a DDT off the top for 2!!! Freddie goes up and leaps but Fury catches him with a Codebreaker on the way down. Boston Crab by Fury and but Freddie is able to counter into the Sharpshooter. Fury taps.
Winner- Jay Freddie *** (The work in this match was really good but the problem was they were attempting an epic but I wasn’t feeling the energy or the atmosphere as being at the level they were looking for. It just didn’t click in the way they probably wanted but the action was solid despite some slip ups. It was just a case of trying too hard instead of differentiating themselves from the rest of the card. )

Mike Bailey vs. Biff Busick
Enzuigiri by Bailey and he hits a tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Chops by Bailey and they trade big boots. Reverse hurricanrana takes Busick to the floor and he throws a flying kick at Busick. Winner- Biff Busick ***3/4 (Damn, what a crazy matchl. There was such intense striking in this match and both of these men at Fete Music rocking for the duration. Busick is quickly becoming one of the best on the independent scene and it’s no wonder Bailey has gotten more looks in recent months, he’s going to be something special. )

Elimination Match- David Starr, JT Dunn, Chris Dickinson, Jaka, and Dan Berry vs. Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Chuck Taylor, Brian Cage-Taylor, and Trevor Lee
Dunn and Taylor start. Feeling out process and Dunn targets the arm of Taylor. Taylor stomps away on Dunn in the corner and Lee tags in along with Berry. Berry trips up Lee and he hits a springboard back elbow. Berry begins interrogating Lee but Lee catches him with a dropkick. Tag to Matt and the Bucks hit the gutbuster/swinging neck breaker/back breaker combo. The Doom Patrol attack from behind and Jaka hits a face buster on Matt into an enzuigiri from Dickinson. Starr comes in and Matt fires back on the opposing squad. Tag to Cage-Taylor and he slams everyone. He slams his own partners!!!! HE GRABS THE REF AND HITS A FALL-A-WAY SLAM SENDING ONTO EVERYONE ON THE FLOOR!!!! Starr gopes up and leaps into A FIVE MAN SUPERKICK!!!!! Arabian press by Berry to Lee gets 2. Starr tags in and he works over Lee in the corner. Dropkick to the back by Dunn gets 2 and Dickinson tags in. Surfboard by Dickinson but Lee fights out. Enzuigiri by Lee and Dunn gets a cheap shot on the Bucks to prevent the tag. Standing double stomp by Lee to Dunn and Matt tags in. He cleans house and delivers the handspring back rake to Dunn. The Bucks deliver punches in the corner to Dunn and Dickinson. Assisted Sliced Bread by the Bucks to Dickinson and Nick hits a basement knee strike for 2 as Starr saves. Neck breaker to Matt and he hits a reverse DDT on Nick. Super kick by Matt and Nick holds Berry hostage for three more. Super kick/Package Piledriver combo gets 3.
Winners- Young Bucks ***1/2 (This was as entertaining and fun as you expected coming into this. It just lacked a good story in the middle of the match, as they only had a heat segment on Lee off of his botched spot. The Berry underdog story at the end of the match was solid but once it came down to him and the Bucks, it was hard to believe Berry really had a chance. Again, super fun main event and the Bucks continue to put on quality performances wherever they go.)

The 411
This was Beyond's return to Fete after having to cancel their show the month prior due to a shooting at the venue the night before and they came back with a bang. This was a damn good, consistent wrestling show. It lacks a really great match, but what I love about this promotions is that every match gets time and the wrestlers appreciated the freedom that the promotion gives them. Certain matches probably didn't need as much time as they were given, but the level of effort and hard worked is seen across the board. This show has a collection of really good matches and that Busick/Bailey match represents the future of independent wrestling. This is show is a breeze to sit through and I highly recommend checking it out. You can buy the show at these links: DVD MP4
