What Culture recently interviewed Ring of Honor star and world champion Jay Lethal. Below are some highlights.

Lethal on wrestling at the Tokyo Dome: “That’s one of those things you get to check off your bucket list. 45,000 people. The history in that building. Mike Tyson fought in that building. And I won my match, definitely a highlight of my life.”

Lethal on the bump he took in the match: I hate to toot my own horn, but I’m a tough cookie, it looked a lot worse than it hurt.”

Lethal on his wrestling bucket list: “I got to cross off Ric Flair, beating him on PPV. Hanging out with Hulk Hogan. Beating Kurt Angle on TNA PPV. Hanging out with Kevin Nash. I didn’t set them, just when the opportunity presented itself, it’s like ‘I think that was on my bucket list!’ Now I’m afraid to put something on it to try to check it off because I might jinx myself.”

Lethal on beating Flair with the Figure Four: “That was Ric Flair’s idea. That was the coolest thing ever. I know I like to talk bad about TNA, but they gave me one of the greatest moments in my life getting to wrestle Ric Flair.”
