Jim Cornette Takes Sabbatical From ROH

November 28, 2012 | Posted by Larry Csonka

According to Wrestlingobserver.com, Ring of Honor officials confirmed today that Jim Cornette is officially on a sabbatical from the promotion.

Cornette reportedly had a blow up at the last TV Tapings in Belle Vernon, PA, and was not scheduled to attend the Final Battle iPPV event. The blow up was described as usual Cornete frustration “but worse,” where he expressed issues with problems outside the ring. Within the company there was the belief that he was done, and many within the company feel that he is was suffering from burnout, and had been for some time.

The decision was said to be amicable, and noted it would become obvious soon enough since Cornette wouldn’t be at the next event. Hunter Johnston (Delirious), the current booker, who replaced Cornette in the role, will handle the production of television in his absence. At this time, there is no timetable for a potential return.
