Jim Ross Decries The Burial of the IC and US Titles

October 21, 2014 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– Jim Ross has posted his latest blog entry online. Check out the highlights:

On Dean Ambrose: “Up and down week as it relates to some of the creative for Dean Ambrose who has been building his TV persona well the past few weeks. I thought Ambrose leveled out or took a step back somewhat Monday night.”

On the Hell in a Cell matches: “I still think that creativity as it relates to stunts, etc for this Sunday’s HIAC will be challenging considering that there will be two Hell in a Cell matches on the show both in a PG world. Anxious to see how the creative minds come up with elements that will make the two main events special, different and perceived as ‘dangerous.'”

On mid-card champions losing: “Again the IC and the US Title holders lost on the WWE’s franchise broadcast which is a head scratcher especially as it downgrades their top two, regularly seen titles notwithstanding it does then on televised live events no favors. As I’ve mentioned on the Ross Report Podcast it seems as if holding the IC and US titles is a curse to the titleholders. I can’t explain this particular creative. Hopefully it will change sooner than later. Having meaningless titles is illogical.”
