#JinderUnhindered: 5 Amazing Things Jinder Mahal Will Cause In WWE Over The Next 12 Months

The Modern Day Maharaja has set the world on fire, and he’s divided the entire Internet Wrestling Community. There’s one thing we can all agree on: this will be a crazy ride!

May 21, 2017 will forever be the day that Jinder Mahal shocked (most of) the world and became the WWE Champion in Chicago at the 2017 edition of WWE Backlash. I say “most of,” because ol’ Big Daddy DeMarco called it!

Now, I didn’t just call it in my BOLD Predictions, but I appeared on the April 19 edition of the DWI Podcast, almost a full SEVEN WEEKS before Backlash (and recorded before Jinder was moved in the Superstar Shakeup) saying he was going to get a huge push. The proof is here, starting at the 27-minute mark.

But Jinder Mahal is now the WWE Champion, a booking rags-to-riches story if there ever was one. But a journey I believe started at WrestleMania 33 didn’t culminate at Backlash, it just escalated. Jinder’s the real deal, and the WWE seems locked in to him as a major player.

But Jinder as WWE Champion is going to open the door for some amazing things to take place in WWE over the next 12-months. All because he’s #JinderUnhindered.

Sami Zayn: World Title Challenger

Jinder Mahal is the perfect champion for a guy like Sami Zayn. Why? Because Sami Zayn is the perfect challenger for a guy like Jinder Mahal.

Jinder Mahal is being booked as the classic “chicken shit heel.” He has all the ability in the world, but still relies on underhanded tactics and his own pair of goons to help ensure a victory. Who better than to be the underdog against those than Sami Zayn?

The build is simple: you have Sami Zayn win the Money In The Bank briefcase but LOSE his cash-in. He doesn’t lose clean—Jinder is a chicken-shit heel—he loses due to distractions involving the Singh Brothers.

But it doesn’t end there. Sami wins a #1 contender’s match against Baron Corbin and becomes the #1 contender for SummerSlam. He doesn’t win, but he is established on Smackdown and can stay at the United States Championship level or above.

Shane McMahon vs. Rusev?

With Jinder holding the WWE Championship, Rusev is seemingly out of the running to be named a challenger, unless he’s turned face. With AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn and Luke Harper already holding steady as faces, it doesn’t make sense for Rusev to go that route.

Looking at the Money In The Bank Card, you have the traditional Money In The Bank Ladder Match, Jinder vs. Orton, the Women’s Championship Match and a likely Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match all announced or assumed. That’s four, plus you can do the tag team titles (5), and a Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan rematch (6). One of those two can be on the preshow, putting us at 5 matches.

What makes sense at #6? Shane McMahon vs. Rusev, of course!

I know many think this would happen at SummerSlam, but that show is going to be loaded. It makes more sense to do it here,and potentially go with Randy Orton vs. Rusev at SummerSlam (along with my Jinder vs. Sami match above).

Bollywood BoysSingh Brothers…Aaaaaaand New?

In the Singh Brothers, you have more than two goons for Jinder Mahal and the WWE Championship. You have an accomplished tag team that many have known as The Bollywood Boyz. Gurv and Harv Sihra were introduced to WWE audiences as The Bollywood Boyz as part of the Cruiserweight Classic, and also made appearances on both 205 Live and NXT.

Now they’re Sunil and Samir Singh, the brothers running rampant with Jinder Mahal. With the Smackdown tag team division about to heat up (Breezango building fan support and the return of The New Day), it makes sense to insert the Singh Brothers into the picture.

Can they capture tag team gold—er…silver? They most certainly can! And the brothers who trained with legendary names like Rip Rogers and Harley Race, as well as a stint at the Hart Dungeon, would make a damn fine pair of champs on the blue brand.

Vacant is a cult favorite among the hardcore WWE fanbase, so he’s an appropriate person to quite here, since I have no clue who to put in this spot.

But many are already asking me if the Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers need to add a fourth to their family. And I say yes!

But in the words of the aforementioned New Day… WHO?

I honestly don’t know. He needs to be an enforcer, someone who can believably beat Mahal himself if he wanted to. And maybe someday he does, as it’d be a great way to establish another face.

Who would you add to this trio?

”The John Cena Match” At WrestleMania 34

At WrestleMania 30, it was John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt, in the middle of the card. At WrestleMania 31 it was Rusev who faced John Cena…in the middle of the card. Injury relegated John Cena an appearance with The Rock at WrestleMania 32, but at WrestleMania 33 he was right back to the middle of the card teaming up with future fiancé Nikki Bella to defeat The Miz and Maryse before Cena’s now famous proposal.

So what do you do with John Cena at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans? The answer to that may have been provide with the Backlash results… you do John Cena vs. Jinder Mahal, and you do it in the middle of the card!

Jinder Mahal is a great heel, drawing heat simply by being authentic and having goods. It’s an old school set up that still works in the modern day WWE. What better foil for Jinder Mahal at WrestleMania than John Cena, the man who has been “Mr. WWE” for the past decade and beyond.

Here’s the great thing about John Cena vs. Jinder Mahal at WrestleMania 34: Jinder could win!

John Cena has been on a roll since his loss to The Rock at WrestleMania 28, racking up four wins in his four WrestleMania matches since that loss. Who better to break that run and hand him his first WrestleMania loss in nearly six years than The Modern Day Maharaja himself?

My gut instinct is that Jinder Mahal is a major player for several years to come, and the next 12 months can be very entertaining with him around. What crazy happenings do you expect to see during that time?
