It was revealed back in August that Marcus “Buff” Bagwell filed a lawsuit against the WWE over royalties from footage of him on the WWE Network. Since then, Scott “Raven” Levy also joined the suit. Just this week, WWE received an extension on the deadline to file their response, giving them until November 9.

Now PWInsider reports that United States District of Connecticut Judge Janet C. Hall ruled that the lawsuit wouldn’t be moved to the jurisdiction of Judge Vanessa L. Bryant and wouldn’t be added to the ongoing concussion lawsuits against WWE. Hall stated that the two cases “are not related.”

WWE requested the transfer and said that the concussion lawsuit was similar to the ones against the company from several WWE performers, as they had similar grounds of employee vs. independent contractor allegations. The two cases also featured the same attorneys for the plaintiffs. Judge Bryant had been in charge of all the other lawsuits that WWE decided were similar and consolidated them.

Bagwell and Levy filed as a class lawsuit on behalf of other performers, looking for a total of five million.
