Live Fan Report From Last Night’s WWE Night of Champions PPV

-My seats were located in the second level of what I would describe as a sellout event in Nashville. The crowd started with the usual Woo’s and Yes!! Chants from our section. The crowd didn’t seem to miss Christian as the Peep Show didn’t go over well (though it was much better than having Adam Rose vs. Heath Slater or something like that).

-In the tag team match, both teams didn’t get the reactions they deserved for the start of a pay-per-view. The match itself had good action from both sides with some great near falls. The title change was predictable but it’s good to get the titles into the hands of someone else (Cody is really trying with the Stardust character but people seem horrified by it or just confused).

-The U.S. Title match was the match of the night. Huge pop for Sheamus and a good response from the males in the crowd for Cesaro. Cesaro once again put on a hell of a match when given the chance. The torture rack spot looked incredible and had the kids in my section gasping for their hero (silly kids, Cesaro’s finisher is the Neutralizer).

-Florida Georgia Line was introduced to cheers from the parents who were dragged here but received groans from most fans.

-The Intercontinental Title match was lost in the antics going on in the background with Sandow, R-Truth, and the band. Honestly, it made the title appear worthless. Ziggler received a big pop and deserves way more.

-Mark Henry came out to his entrance and didn’t receive a lot of a pop from my end. He did get the USA chants after the anthem. Rusev received little reaction or initial heat. This match needed a Lana promo. As for the match, it looked clunky at best and honestly Swagger put up a better fight.

-Seth Rollins came out to heat and cut a promo that got the heat they were looking for. Ambrose was an expected replacement and their brawl was good

-Randy Orton and Chris Jericho received almost identical pops. Nashville loves Orton. He did start to take heat later in the match. Overall, it was a well wrestled match but I was one that knew Jericho’s time was up so that finish was predictable, and the top rope jump into the RKO is old now.

-Before the match, a Paige promo aired that was well done and needed to be shown on Raw. AJ Lee and Paige received good reactions. The people around me and I couldn’t care less about the Bella crap. That being said, Nikki Bella took a great bump when A.J dumped her to the floor.

-Also, this title change perplexed me. I guess Paige and AJ will just swap the title as the Bella’s continue to feud. Boring. Is it too early to call up the NXT Divas?

-John Cena received the biggest pop of the night. It was 60/40 pro Cena.

-Brock Lesnar’s pop was huge from the adult males.

-Honestly, I didn’t find anything I liked from the match. The early AA from Cena set the match on the right path, but everybody over five knew Cena wouldn’t win. Rollins stomping Lesnar was a surprise that I enjoyed, but Cena preventing the complete cash in was also predicable. A cheap ending to what I was hoping was the end of the Lesnar vs. Cena feud, but I guess an HIAC match is what we are heading towards.
