Live Report From Last Night’s WWE Smackdown
Credit Jay Spot and Pwinsider.com:
Two hours of Smackdown and Main Event is so much more enjoyable than Raw. several people commenting how much they enjoy the shorter Smackdown.
The crowd was really into the Miz recap from Talking Smack cheering him, you could tell some folks had not seen it prior to the show and were like damn. Without a doubt, he got the most heat after the show went live. They have so much in him. I think the crowd wanted a more aggressive Ziggler, especially after last week.
The Hype Bros still need a bit of work in terms of introducing Mojo, a good match with the Vaudevillains, but crowd was coming down.
AJ Styles was also well represented, and Crews had a good match, shame the outcome wad never in doubt though. Crews looked good though hitting his spots. Need to build him up and give him some character.
Crowd was really into Heath, with the Heath’s kids signs. The bit was a good come down spot, and got some chuckles. Great to see Rhyno with some comedy gold.
Bray gets the entrance pop, cuts a solid promo but people do not buy him as monster. Nothing lost from Orton from the crowd, huge pop. Good back and forth but crowd thinks Bray has no chance. Again.
The women’s tag was good. I was in the heel corner, and appreciated Natalya and was distracted by Bliss. Wow. Work was good, felt like Naomi was in a little too long. Crowd wanted Becky, and Carmella’s attack on Nikki got it hot again.
The Headbangers after all this time, not bad but no Titantron. Crowd ate up Heath, the MVP of the Brand Split. Rhyno dragging for the tag into the Gore, great. They had to re-shoot interview after the match with Renee due to blood on Heath’s chest from Rhyno.
Kane squashed Gary Milkman something. Guy stripped to tighty whiteys and took a choke slam.
Baron vs. Ambrose was another match not in doubt at all. I hope they can do something with Corbin, much like Apollo. The ending with AJ on the ropes with Dean posing got a few laughs and groans.
I know Cena made a post show appearance, but I was heading to the ticket office to get my TLC tickets.
