Mike Bennett & Maria Reportedly Headed to WWE

– It would seem that Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are headed to WWE. SportsKeeda reports that the former Impact Wrestling stars are coming to WWE, and specifically are headed to the Smackdown brand. PW Torch subsequently reported the news, citing their own sources, and says that two were considering a possible Impact Wrestling return, but that WWE made a more appealing offer to them.

This is not Maria’s first stint with the company, of course; she made her wrestling debut for the company in 2004 as part of the Diva Search and had a seven-year run before leaving in 2010. She debuted in Ring of Honor as Bennett’s manager in 2011 and they’ve been an on-screen duo ever since, including their TNA run that began in January of 2016 and came to an end in March of this year.
