More Details on Tough Enough’s New Format

May 21, 2015 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

The WON has new details on the new WWE Tough Enough that will air on USA. The show will air on Tuesdays with footage shot during the week, airing during a live show in front of a studio audience. The footage will include the training and in-house drama a la The Ultimate Fighter.

Jericho’s hosting gig will be more of a Carson Daly/Ryan Seacrest deal, as opposed to what Steve Austin did. Hulk Hogan, Paige and Daniel Bryan will serve as panelists, mentors and judges while Booker T, Billy Gunn and Lita will be training the contestants.

The site notes that WWE is trying hard to recruit certain potential cast members, including Tessa Blanchard. They also wanted to get Moose, but he’s signed a new deal with Ring of Honor. WWE is telling people that they are recruiting that they will be guaranteed a spot on the show, although the actual winner will not be pre-determined and will be completely based on fan voting.
