Paul London Reveals His Ambitions For 2016, Talks Stardust & Eva Marie

February 4, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– Paul London spoke with WrestleZone Radio for a new interview. Check out the highlights:

On his wrestling ambitions for this year: “I’ll be honest with you. There was a time in 2015 when I thought, “You know what? 2016 is going to be it. That’s when I’ll retire from this career and say, ‘thank you’ and ‘adios.’” BUT… that mentality has changed. I will not be stepping away this year. ”

On if he’s fielding offers from any of the major companies: “As far as some of the heavy hitters that are on the market right now. People talk about free agents and this and that. What’s to say I’m not already in a relationship? I don’t want to… I don’t know. I could be very single. Hell, I do most things alone. I’m used to it. I’m very comfortable in my own skin. What’s to say I feel I need a platform to speak from? Who knows? That’s what’s enjoyable about getting to see things simmer and then boil and then maybe not simmer at all. The process is there. All I can say really is, “Keep your eyes peeled.” If there’s something that appears to be a very fresh product on television with a lot of high production value and good, interesting storylines. That mixes cultural aspects of Mexican wrestling, Japanese wrestling, American wrestling all on a unique television channel that’s very genre driven. A very genre driven channel. I would think that company would probably be where headed towards. I can tell you it won’t be TNA and it won’t be anywhere I’ve been.”

On Brian Kendrick training Eva Marie: “I’ve only seen, I think, one of her matches. All I saw was that she was using his finisher and I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. Either way, good for him, he’s getting paid. I hope he’s getting paid! Who knows?! (Laughs) I’m happy for him. I know he has always wanted to be a trainer. He’s always wanted to work his way in to somewhat of an agent status behind the scenes there. Hopefully he can do that and not gain weight like the rest of the agents that seem to work there. I’m happy for him. He seems to be happy. I don’t know. Our paths don’t always cross.”

On if Cody Rhodes should remain Stardust or go back to being Cody Rhodes: “I would way rather see him as Stardust. He seems like he is having fun. He seems like he’s comfortable. He seems creative. He has charisma. He’s colorful. I don’t think anybody misses Cody Rhodes. Nothing against Cody but, you know, it’s like the rest of the locker room. How many Stardusts are there? I think he’s way better off with the grease paint and the bodysuit. I love it.”
