Randy Orton Expands on His Thoughts About National Flag Controversy With Booker T
– Randy Orton spoke with Booker T on the latter’s Heated Conversations radio show last night from the WWE house show in Chicago and spoke about his recent social media comments regarding NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Kaepernick’s decision to kneel while the National Anthem is played at NFL games. Kaepernick has said he is doing it to protest racial oppression. You can listen to the full podcast at the full link.
Speaking specifically about Kaepernick, Orton said, “I’d rather hear what the man has to say. And in the recent weeks I know he’s talked a lot about what his issue was, and I respect the issues. This world is a scary place. People are dying. There’s a lot of issues and everyone needs to unite together, as hard as that may seem, and talk about the issues. Kneeling when the national anthem is played or the pledge of allegiance is played, I just disagree with the way that he did it.”
