Ric Flair Gives His Side of Indiana Bar Incident
– Ric Flair explained his side of the story regarding being kicked out of a bar in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Flair was reportedly asked to leave the bar earlier this month after being there for just five minutes for calling the bartender a “fatass.”
Flair discussed the incident on ESPN’s The Dan LeBatard Show, saying, “I walked in, said to the guy, ‘Will you please put on the golf tournament?’ It’s only the Masters, right? He said, ‘What do you think this is, a sports bar?’ ‘I didn’t say it was a sports bar, I asked you to put on the Masters.'”
He added that the bartender refused and continued, “I had only had one drink, I asked for another drink,” and that the bartender used the same glass. Flair said he asked, “‘Sir, doesn’t a premium drink require a new glass?’ And he goes ‘Are you telling me how to bartend?’ And I said, ‘Not if I don’t have to, dumba–.’ ‘Did you call me a dumba–?’ ‘I can call you a dumba–, or a fat a–. Both work.'”
An employee for the bar said at the time that they could only verify that he had insulted the bartender.
