ROH Final Battle Returning to The Hammerstein Ballroom

Pwinsider.com reports that ROH’s return is not a one-time event; the company has completed a deal with the Hammerstein that will see ROH run there several times a year in 2017 and beyond.

ROH stopped using the venue back in 2014 and started using Terminal 5. The move was made due to cost, as the Hammerstein wanted ROH to pay to use their equipment and production staff. These costs would make profitability hard for the promotion, so they made the move. But ROH started to get complaints about Terminal 5 (sightlines and other issues) and they did not want to abandon the New York market.

ROH management had been scouting different venues in all five boroughs of NYC to try and find a regular replacement. They also kept conversations and negotiations with Hammerstein management going. A new deal was agreed upon about two weeks ago.
