RVD: My Achievements Were in Spite of Triple H

August 30, 2016 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– Rob Van Dam recently did a Q&A with the The Buzzards Wrestling Podcast. When asked if his in ring career was over, he said that “It’s likely, but I have no plans of that.” He was also asked if he would be inducted going into the WWE Hall of Fame, and he said that it wasn’t up to him and that Triple H is the boss. RVD wouldn’t be surprised if he was not inducted, noting that he doesn’t think that Triple H ever saw him as someone to be pushed; all of his achievements were in spite of Triple H.

RVD confirmed that WWE contacted him to return to the company last October for the program with the Dudleys against The Wyatt Family, and when he didn’t come in WWE went with Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno. He didn’t return because WWE didn’t make it worth his while financially. That was the last time he spoke with WWE.

When asked about his future, he noted that there is no retirement plan, but also no plan to return to WWE.
