Second Live Report from Last Night’s WWE Monday Night Raw

If the show was not a complete sell out.. then it was really close. No closed off sections and the crowd was loud most of the night.

The show opened with a superstars taping. My goodness does Rosa Mendes look “enhanced” these days. Good reactions for Heath Slater and Adam Rose along with Axel/Mandow vs Rowan and Harper.

Vince McMahon came out to a monster pop right before Raw went on the air to thank Long Island fans for years of support and promise a great show for the final WWE event.

Talk segments are the way things are these days to kick off Raw.. Major heat for The Authority. The crowd was super hot for anything Ambrose and Reigns did. Props to Ziggler and Sheamus for their match as I am not sure how much made it to air. Cena is more over than anyone on the roster and after seeing the crowd reaction live its tough to dispute his place in the company considering his ability to draw negative and positive reactions. Great reaction for Ryder and I think some of the crowd may have bought that Cena could be beat at one point. Huge mark out moment for me was when I spotted Kevin Owens sprinting to the ring to take out Cena again. New Day is super over as heels as the “New Day Sucks” claps were heard all over the arena before and after the show. Great job by those three taking a crap angle and making it something worth watching. The crowd struggled at times because of the length of the show. If I could make one change I would say go back to the taped format.. so the live crowd doesn’t die between segments.

The closing angle brought the crowd back when Ambrose signed his contract.

The dark match main event was Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton. They are both are super over. Randy won a pretty good match with the RKO after about 10 minutes. All in all it was a fun night that would have been more fun if it was taped and the crowd didn’t have to sit through so many commercial breaks. Wyatt’s entrance is spectacular to see live.. even though a third of the crowd was gone by the time the dark match started.
