1. Dolph Ziggler beat Bad News Barrett in a non-title match. Unfortunately, I missed this match due to a huge line of traffic leading to the arena. Rain caused an accident and El Paso/Las Cruces drivers are useless in the rain.

2. Los Matadores and Sin Cara beat Fandango, Titus O’Neil, and Curtis Axel. The crowd was hot for the faces and there were a few fun spots by Sin Cara who ultimately got the pin.

3. Natalya beat Alicia Fox. Pretty fun match that had more/better action than what we get on Raw. Nattie won with the Sharpshooter, and the crowd gave her good reaction all throughout the match.

Video package for Connor’s Cure played, all the feels in the arena.

4. Daniel Bryan beat Bray Wyatt in a best of three falls match. The crowd was hot for both wrestlers. The fans were all over the fireflies gimmick and there was a great Yes! chant. The first fall came a little over ten minutes into the match and went to Bryan after Wyatt used a kendo stick causing a DQ fall. The second fall happened about two minutes later after Wyatt hit Sister Abigail following a short exchange. Another 10 mins or so more, and Bryan got the third fall after hitting a running knee. The crowd popped big for that final three count and followed with a well deserved “that was awesome” chant.

5. Big E and Kofi Kingston beat Stardust and Goldust. Stardust cut a quick promo in the ring, creating some heat by saying Royal Rumble 2016 would happen in LC, only to laugh and mock the city right after. So I guess the Rhodes boys are heels now? New Day came in to start mocking the Rhodes in what looked like a weird segment on MTV’s failed show “Yo Momma” (does anyone else remember that one?) In the ring, Big E looked sluggish, but strong. Kofi did his jumping-kicking-flipping thing we all know. The Rhodes boys looked good, but nowhere near as great as their match last time they came here six months ago. New Day won. The gimmick still lame and still feels a bit racist.

6. Dean Ambrose beat Luke Harper. Ambrose got a big reaction from the crowd, but the match was forgettable. Lots of walking around the outer ring area, Dean stomping about and getting crazy eyes or doing his second rope bounce back attack. Ambrose won, the crowd booed away at Harper.

7. John Cena beat Seth Rollins in street fight. The crowd went completely nuts for Cena, so my group and I had our work cut out for us when it came to the mocking chants. The match was good, bringing in chairs and two tables, both of which Rollins went through the first via corner toss followed by near fall and the second was via top rope AA followed by win. Rollins cut a good promo mid-match and kept that heat alive with the crowd. Best heel today, and he was leading the offense until the five moves of death. After the match, Cena worked the crowd a bit and then announced they set a WWE attendance record for the Pan Am Center.

Bonus note: A friend of mine snapped a picture of Daniel Bryan signing a few autographs out in the back of the arena despite there still being a light rainfall going on. Classy.
