Shaquille O’Neal Says WWE Messed Up His Scuttled WrestleMania Match

April 24, 2017 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– Shaquille O’Neal has presented his side of the story regarding the match with Big Show that didn’t happen at WrestleMania 33. O’Neal talked about how the the match fell apart on the 100th episode of his The BIG Podcast, which was recorded live in Atlanta. You can listen to it here.

When asked about why the match didn’t happen, Shaq said, “Because they kept playing. First, they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be 3 and 3. Then, they cancelled it so when they cancelled it, I made other arrangements. And then they tried to call back and tried to get it done, and I just said, ‘I’m not going to do it.’ They messed it up.”

When co-host John Kinkade said he couldn’t imagine that someone would “read a script where he would lose in anything,” Shaq replied, “It’s for the kids, John. I would have lost for the kids. For the kids.”

Shaq also talks about his reaction to a fan hitting on his girlfriend once and more in the episode, which features stand-up comic Craig Gass as a guest.
