Steve Austin Doesn’t Think WWE Has a Concussion Epidemic
February 12, 2016 | Posted by
– TMZ Sports caught up with Steve Austin and asked him about Daniel Bryan’s retirement and WWE’s concussion issues. You can see his response below, in which he says he doesn’t thing CTE will become a major issue in wrestling as it has in the NFL.
Austin said, “I just think Daniel Bryan worked a very physical cruiserweight style and finally, after everything he did, it kinda took it out of him. I don’t think it’s going to be an epidemic…Over the past 20 years, there’s only been a couple guys that had to bow out with concussions. Daniel worked his ass off and he was a hard worker, and his style finally caught up with him. It is what it is but I don’t think it’s an epidemic.”
