I cannot come up
With a new five-seven-five.
Hey look I did it!

Don’t watch RAW, just read this!

CM Punk, Paul Heyman, Vickie Guerrero, AJ Lee, Daniel Bryan and Kane and Dolph Ziggler
– Oh no… is Punk going to kick JR’s ass in Oklahoma?
– I’m so glad Paul Heyman is back in wrestling. I missed him.
– It’s Vickie and her lapdog!
– Aw man! AJ is wearing pants this week.
– EXECUTIVE COACH! Wait, it’s not Bryan? WHAT THE HELL
– He is handsome though. And he has a great beard.
– Wait… the coach is gonna be Shelby. That makes much more sense.
– Too many people in the ring!
– Okay, this is getting a bit ridiculous.
– Tag team match? TEDDY LONG IS THE EXECUTIVE COACH

– A debate? I hope they call Scott Steiner to mediate.

Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio def. Primo & Epico (9 min)
– Sweet outfits for the luchadores. Glad they look like a tag team now since they’re going to win.
– Don’t know if Sin Cara or Primo was to blame on the ropewalk flippy-floppy armdrag.
– Darren Young channeling AC Slater!
– Sweet sunset flip powerbomb counter!
– Mysterio pushed him off the top! HEEL TURN!
– Oh. He was just trying to help him not botch.
– Much better match than expected.

Non-Title: Antonio Cesaro def. Brodus Clay (1 min)
– Hey, what the fuck! I need to see the Funkadactyls’ ass-to-ass entrance!
– Brodus was WAY out of position for the springboard European uppercut.
– That’s it? I guess the Funkasaurus is just going to be another Santino.
– This does NOTHING for Cesaro, by the way.

– Who the fuck is this guy?
– That laugh was NOT attractive.

Non-Title: The Miz def. Zack Ryder (3 min)
– It’s new shirt day!
– Holy shit that picture of Larry King is god damned frightining.
– Ryder with some offense!
– Sweet bucklebomb! SCF!
– Another match for a midcard champion that does nothing for anybody.

World Championship Debate
– No debate? Awesome. Suddenly I’m a huge Big Show fan.
– Nice mini-promo, too. I wish Sheamus would have done the same. Instead he panders to OKC.
– I thought Show said he wasn’t going to do the debate.
– Body odor jokes? Come on.
– Show knows how it works. Take him seriously, Sheamus.
– I mean come on… more people might, I dunno, BUY THE SHOW if you took it seriously.
– Wait… that’s the 45 seconds? A reference to something that happened 9 months ago?
– Holy shit this segment is BOMBING.
– I’ll be honest, I do want to see this match. Could be good. Plus it’s not Del Rio.

Ryback def. Tensai (2 min)
– Their match on SmackDown was short but actually quite awesome.
– Ryback laughs at the shoulderblock!
– Ugly powerslam gets a pop!
– Oops. That was embarassing. They should have just shown the SD match.

Eve Torres def. Beth Phoenix (3 min)
– It was nice on SmackDown when the chicks’ match had a crowd reaction.
– Beth Makes it in at 9!
– Ivan Putski reference from JR!
– Shitty match that nobody cared about!

– Seriously who the fuck is this guy? He looks like my old boss.
– Oh, Wade Barrett. Silly me.

Heath Slater def. Santino Marella (3 min)
– It’s the Encore!
– They should announce them as being from West Virgindia, Scotland.
– Haha he almost kipped up!
– Santino should join these guys.
– Promo time!
– That was it? Just their nicknames? Okay then. I still like the group.

– This show is draaaaaaagggggiiinnnnngggggg……

Non-Title: Sheamus def. Damien Sandow (15 min)
– So far… nothing.
– Commercial break!
– SWEET clothesline over the barricade!
– What the hell is going on? Sheamus is playing the complete Cena role here.
– It’s not a bad match, but nothing is really happening.
– Double Brogue Kick!
– Better to have a decent match than a bunch of nothing segments.

JR Appreciation Segment
– Why did they have him go to the back just to come right back out to the ring?
– CM Punk? I could not have expected this!
– Is this really what they’re doing to get Punk over as a heel?
– I was hoping to hear the glass break. The roof would have blown off.
– Punk hasn’t earned it? WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously?
– JR with the sweet promo anyway.
– And now he steps on the hat?
– And then he attacks the city.
– Punk isn’t working as a bully.
– I’m bored.
– Ryback! I bet he can pick up Punk!
– Glad that’s over.

Alberto Del Rio def. Kofi Kingston (6 min)
– Nice plancha. And right to the commercials!
– He’s cheating. How? He’s using the ropes!
– 6 minute match, almost 4 were commercials.

– Hey, that dude is talking now!
– Who thought this executive coach thing would be worth anybody’s time?

Team Hell No def. CM Punk & Dolph Ziggler (13 min)
– Damn it, Dolph! Stop trying the Zig Zag with the guy next to the ropes!
– Commercial!
– Team Hell No working together!
– Is Punk arguing with Vickie?
– Bryan gets the crowd to come alive! I can’t wait until he’s a full-fledged face again.
– Holy shit how hard did he throw him into the barricade?
– Butterfly suplex off the top into the NO Lock! #SSSIIICCCKKK!
– Ziggler is leaving to chase Vickie? Didn’t he grab the mic and tell her to shut up last week?
– Kane & Bryan are THE guys in WWE right now. Rightfully, they are the guys who get to close the show.

Overall RAW Thoughts
Um, okay. That was a long three hours. I enjoyed Big Show trying to make it short, simple and serious but the segment sucked. The Cesaro/Clay, Miz/Ryder and Torres/Phoenix matches were over so quickly that they were absolute wastes of time. Yeah, all three of the currently more important ones went over, but they were on screen for so little time that once their segments were over it was completely forgotten about. At least the Sheamus/Sandow match was pretty good. People on Twitter and Facebook were really talking highly about it, so I’ll give it a second look. I was partially distracted during that 20 minute span. I wish I could have had distractions for most of the rest of the show. PLEASE, somebody figure out how to pull off a three hour show! PLEASE. I’m begging you.

Dr Wiki on Cornette and ROH
“I forgot about FBK.

I just can’t stand Cornette anytime he’s out. I saw him briefly when he was on TNA but even them he came off as a heel trying to act like a face. I believed that with the backing of Sinclair ROH would be able to turn themselves into the face of the indies. There is a large number of talented individuals in the American indies and getting a chance of major exposure on national TV and attracting the attention of TNA or WWE would be a great incentive for them to try hard to have great matches.

At the beginning they had a lot of problems with the audio and video but it gave off two different types of vibes of the show. Sometimes it looked very crappy and at others it looked very old school in a good way.”

I like the Fat Billy Kidman thing and I don’t want to shoehorn the joke in and kill it, so I want to use it very sparingly. The story about him giving Miz advice was a perfect opportunity.

Cornette has gone, in my mind, from a wrestling legend to a wrestling nuisance. Somebody compared him to Vince Russo in that he’s a fantastic idea man but when he doesn’t have anybody to rein him in everything can become a mess. It has gotten to a point where he is guilty of a lot of the things that he has railed against in the past. Cornette’s first run as an authority figure in ROH was fine; his feud with Homicide during the CZW angle was pretty hot and it worked out well for all parties. He continued playing that character for too long, though, and it just continued when he became the authority figure he currently is. If he wants ROH to be a straight old school wrestling company, that’s fine. I’m all for it. But he needs to stay off TV and Delirious has to stop booking General Manager angles. It has been scaled back recently, so here’s to that continuing. On a side note, I wonder what the power structure is backstage at ROH right now when it comes to booking the show. Delirious is the main guy, but how much do he and Corny work together?

Jimbo Jones on Jim Cornette
“I wonder who Jim Cornette is going to blame his failures on THIS time?

I loved the man as a manager, but his constant claims that he could book everything better than everyone else have gotten REALLY old. Now, given the chance to do so, he’s proven that he SUCKS as a booker.

Will it teach him some humility? Of course not. People like him, Lance Storm, and Mick Foley will all constantly think that they’re right and everyone else is wrong. It’s just a shame to see him destroying ROH in the process.”

I generally agree with Lance Storm, and he’s not in any position of power so it doesn’t make any difference to bitch about him. If you disagree with him, don’t go to his website and don’t follow him on Twitter. He’s not ruining any promotions by sitting at his computer. Plus he’s presently spending his time training a lot of competent in-ring workers. But yeah, I think Cornette is very detrimental to ROH and he is so set in his ways that until he loses any power he has, ROH will suffer. I don’t like saying that because I always liked Cornette, but time has passed him by.

Dr Wiki on WWE Stuff
“In WWE it looks like they are really pushing Ryback but I just felt that a feud with CM Punk is too much too soon. Even if they are just using Ryback to fill in for Cena. They could easily make AJ put Punk in a weekly gaunlet. Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio, Brodus Clay, and even the Tag Team Champions would make great matches for Punk for the next 4 to 5 weeks.

I however really hated Big Show. You have a fast and athletic super heavyweight like Brodus and a guy used to wrestling Japanese style and you have them both taken out by one man. Tensai vs Brodus in a Short but physical match would have been a great addition to HIAC. Brodus could use some credibility against someone of similar size. Big Show at the moment best serves as a guy to be phased out by the newer and hungrier monsters. Brodus and Ryback could really move a level with wins over the Big Show.

As for Sheamus he could always face Kane and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat much like the Cena vs DX a few years ago. Meanwhile a 4 team contender match could replace the tag title match. After Sheamus retain Kane and Bryan can happily demolish Sheamus with chairs and Ziggler can cash in MITB. Them move Hell No to the next tag contenders and Ziggler can moe to Orton or Sheamus.”

I wonder if the Ryback thing is just a safeguard in case Cena can’t go in time for Hell in a Cell. If that’s the case, it’s a great example of how the gimmick shows help WWE paint themselves into a corner. They have a good feud going on and Hell in a Cell is a good way to blow it off (if that is indeed their intention), but because of the fact that they have a PPV dedicated to doing at least one Cell match they have to do it now instead of a month of two later when Cena is physically 100% for it. On the subject of Ryback, I was excited to see him finally in a real feud, but they hotshotted a match with the Miz which became a non-title squash (I don’t understand the logic in that) and all of a sudden he’s in the WWE Champ’s face. I agree with a gauntlet being a good idea, but that’s generally better served for a face than a heel. And if they’re afraid Cena can’t go, why not just book Punk to take on Foley? I guarantee that Mick would be all for getting in the ring with Punk and you KNOW that Foley would put him over huge. Plus the escalating mic work leading to a HIAC match could be legendary.

The Big Show thing bugs me… I don’t know why they don’t just do a Show/Brodus feud. Show isn’t and has never been a selfish wrestler. He has shown many times in the past that he is always willing to put anybody over. He already retired once and a real retirement can’t be far away — out with the old and in with the new, Vince! Instead Show is going to be Sheamus’ next challenger. Based on his matches with Mark Henry last year I’m sure Sheamus and Show can put on some good contests, but I don’t see the point. Hopefully they only have one match and Sheamus can move on. If he has another months-long feud with the same guy his title reign will become a complete failure. Some people already feel that way. I still want the Sheamus/Henry rubber match, too. Darn it.

Apparently Hulu only has the rights to air a 90 minute edited version of RAW. That makes no sense at all. Don’t worry though, Hulu promises that they are working hard to bring us full episodes of Monday Night SmackDown as soon as possible. That gives me hope.

Sara Del Rey has officially signed her WWE contract and according to a TOUT from Bill DeMott she will be one of the trainers in attendance to evaluate prospects at the upcoming open tryouts in Florida. If this means they’re continuing to get more serious about the women (along with tag teams), these efforts almost make up for all the shit Triple H did between 2002 and 2006.

Kelly Kelly has been released from her WWE contract. Oddly enough, they future endeavored her under her ring name instead of her real name. I guess they figured that nobody would believe them if the notice said “WWE has come to terms with the release of former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly (real name Barbie Blank).”

Another recent release from WWE is Eddie and Vickie Guerrero’s oldest daughter Shaul, who worked in FCW/NXT as Raquel Diaz. There’s no news about why she asked for her release but she tweeted that it was a good learning experience, so the departure doesn’t seem to be on bad terms. I absolutely loathed her character so I won’t miss her, but I’m very curious to find out the whole story.

Drew McIntyre had elbow surgery or something and now he’s “part bionic”, according to him. Is that why he, Mahal and Slater were absent from SmackDown this week? I guess nobody called for the three to have an Encore. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!

The Attitude Era DVD will not be canceled as previously reported. It might somehow be PG material only, though. That would be hilarious.

Another new signing is PAC, most recently of DGUSA fame. Dude has always been an amazing high flyer and thanks to his tours of Japan over the past few years he has become a very well-rounded wrestler. I wonder what WWE will call him. I bet they’ll take away Sara Del Rey’s last name. PAC’s name is Benjamin Satterly (which is fun to say) so maybe they can turn him Italian and call him Benny Satts. That wasn’t funny at all and I apologize.

A fan on Twitter said that CM Punk should change his theme music if he wanted “real heat”. Of course that makes no sense whatsoever. Punk’s reply: “[This] is an example of what is wrong with fans today. You know cute words like “segment” and “heat” but you don’t know what it means. How many stars is this tweet? Two thumbs down to the #genpop” In a recent issue of WWE Magazine (with Rey Mysterio on the cover) they had an interview with Cody Rhodes where he was asked how a fan could get on his good side. He responded that they shouldn’t use insider terms because they don’t know what’s going on. Look, a lot of us know, and often use, many of those terms. I try not to use phrases like “I saw Kane work Undertaker back in ’98 and the marks ate it up” and I hate when people say crap like that. I saw Kane wrestle Undertaker in ’98 and the crowd loved it. People actually say shit like that to wrestlers, though, and think it’s going to be endearing. I don’t think I have ever read or seen a wrestler say that it doesn’t upset them to hear those of us who are not in the business use their terminology. It makes those of us that don’t try to be more than what we are look stupid.

Guest#7678 on Vince & Linda
“It’s called bankruptcy and it happened almost 10 years before they even bought the company. Also they are not legally obligated to pay this money back and probably had forgotten about it decades ago until her opponent managed to dig up this information.”

You got me on the timeframe issue. Vince didn’t get the company until 82-ish. My point on the matter wasn’t that they’re paying back the money (legally owed debts or not) but how they’re doing it, with Linda personally going and handing over checks, is a really hamhanded effort to save face. It’s politics. That’s how it works so I don’t even know why I’m bothering to bitch about it. The Connecticut Dems are really running a dirty campaign. I don’t want Linda to win for a number of reasons (both WWE-related and not) but if she loses based on the smear campaign and not based on merit it’s pretty shitty.

Aaron in GR on Sheamus & The IWC
“Sheamus gets hate because he’s been getting pushed for over a year. Anything Vince, Haitch and Co. like the IWC hates.

“He can’t move”- totally ignores the he has the rolling senton and, despite his 6’6″ length, completes slingshot moves.

“He can’t wrestle”- when he was on WWECW he would work an armbar like no one since Malinko – and that’s no insult to Malinko.

“He doesn’t sell”- He’s getting a “Monster Push” but when he runs into a turnbuckle or boot, Sheamus does so full bore. No pulling up. Plus Daniel Brian made him pass-out at Extreme Rules

“He has no charisma”- but kids are dressing up like him, female interviewers drool all over him. House Show reports consitently list him as getting one of the top 3 pops of the night.

It’s the IWC and since he’s not Punk or Danielson he doesn’t deserve a push and gets the “He’s pushed down our throat” complaint… nevermind that William Regal & Dusty Rhodes are fans of Sheamus as a “Big Man”

The IWC is what it is.”

Nail on the head, sir. Nail on the head.

the mecca Likes Sheamus
“Sheamus is a good wrestler for his role. Big athletic ass kicker. You can’t compare him to the technical greats like jericho, savage and hbk because that’s not his style. Sheamus is more compared to say batista, maybe a john cena, larger than most guys but not a super giant like nash, kali andbig show. At least he is more agile than them, and I like all 3. Big men have their place in wrestling. I know most people like variety, I know I do. Let’s see a high flying cruiser weight match followed by a technical masterpiece followed by 2 giants pounding the hell out of each other. Let’s enjoy the stuff we aren’t as big a fan of so we can appreciate more the stuff we love. You can’t have pizza for dinner every night. Fbk! Whoo!”

FBK has pizza for dinner every night. The good thing about Sheamus is that he can adapt and work in a style compatible with whomever he’s in the ring with. He worked a FANTASTIC 2/3 falls match with Daniel Bryan and had really good power matches with Mark Henry (I know I talk about them a lot. I really liked those matches. I really don’t get the hate. You’re also right on the money about variety.

Guest#4696 on Titles
“I say merge World & IC (as they did previously– the World title IS the old IC title AND the old European title AND the old Hardcore title). Keep it as the IC title, and I do like your idea for the US title- turn it into the new version of the European championship.

The Euro title was never the best but it did lead to a few interesting angles/feuds (Al Snow/William Regal was pretty good feud for that belt)

Hey- what ever happened to the light heavyweight title that only Malenko/Xpac/Jeff Hardy ever seemed to have?”

I forgot about that. I don’t remember what they did with the European Title, but I remember they merged the IC Title with the Hardcore Title in a ladder match (Dreamer v. RVD?) and then Kane lost to Triple H during the Katie Vick angle to unify the World Title and IC Title. With Triple H bolstering the title divisions again with the Tag situation as well as his push to give the Divas more of a focus, having only one World Title and 2 midcard belts makes the most sense. I think if Triple H is given an opportunity to make that decision, sooner rather than later there will be only one main WWE Title. The Light Heavyweight Title was merged with the Cruiserweight Title during the InVasion angle, I believe. X-Pac and Tajiri fought over the two titles in a WWF v. WWF feud (X-PAC HEAT~!) and eventually they dropped the LHW and kept the CW.

ScottotD With More Sheamus Talk
“Although he still needs to be carried to have a truly great match (imo) I like Sheamus because you can almost see him improving week to week so he’s clearly dedicated to being the best he can be which given his push so far he probably doesn’t really need to do.

It’s a shame they hit the panic button & jobbed out Tensai because he and Sheamus could have some great matches I feel.

FWIW, if they want to give Barrett a stable having Ohno & Swagger in his corner as his UFC-style striking & wrestling coaches could be cool. Would also mean a fourth heel tag team to give some balance to the 6-7 face teams.”

Agreed on Sheamus. He’s always working to improve. The stable idea is pretty sweet too, but they need to do it right because Nexus and Corre were miserable failures.

Guest#1777 on Merging Titles
“The way to handle the title belt situation is to merge the 2 World Titles and just have the champ carry around both belts. Then, they can still sell them separately, but they would only have 1 Unified WWE World Champ (not an “Undisputed” champ because the TNA World Champion holds the most prestigious belt in wrestling). WWE reportedly now has a working agreement with All Japan, a promotion where the top champion in the company holds the Triple Crown, which consists of 3 separate title belts that were merged in the late 1980s.

Because of this, the excuse that they can’t unify the titles because of the replica belt business just doesn’t cut it. It only took WCW 2 years to realize that having 2 different World champs was a stupid idea. It has taken WWE 7 years (counting since the time when they stopped being seriously committed to the brand split) and counting to figure that out.”

I personally like the image of a guy carrying multiple belts to the ring at a time. It looks more powerful. It worked for Jericho when he had the two belts and the video of Triple H holding them up after beating Jericho at WMx8 is one of the most classic shots of the past 15 years. Primo & Carlito holding both sets of tag straps made them look important. That’s not even taking into account how awful the tag belts look right now. And if it isn’t clear, I absolutely despise having two “World” titles. It doesn’t make a lick of sense and makes both titles look less important.

Jason Douglas on Sheamus & Beth
“I think Sheamus has become a good wrestler, something I wouldn’t have said when he first entered WWE. The problem is most of his improvement has come AFTER they already made him a world champion. He has the body of a power wrestler and that’s what he delivers, though I do credit him for his slingshot shoulderblock from the ring apron, which takes agility I sure don’t have. The fact is he got leapfrogged to the top while far more talented guys continue to languish in midcard hell or give up and leave after being jobbed out and forgotten by creative. There’s nothing wrong with the guy but he plainly doesn’t deserve a prolonged world title run. He got booed when he went against Punk, so you can’t even argue that he’s so over as to justify his push.

Beth Phoenix is this generation’s Madusa, a tremendously talented woman with the misfortune of peaking at a time when women’s wrestling is treated as a joke. She’s also a red hot babe and I hope she ends up on my screen again.”

People “leapfrogging” other guys and getting to the top first is the nature of the business. You don’t get around that. Sheamus got over as an ass kicking heel, and when he fan out of faces to beat up he went after the biggest badass at the time, a heel in Mark Henry. Then he REALLY got over big. He continues to improve in the ring and he got over to the point where it made sense for him to have a top belt. His reign has been sub-par because the feud with Del Rio has been tedious and boring, but I don’t agree with your assessment that his improvement has come mostly after getting the title. Unless you mean the original run(s) with the WWE Title, in which case you’re completely correct but you have to remember that happens with a lot of guys. He was never a true main event guy until this April when he won the World Title, so I tend to not even count his reigns as WWE Champion, especially since he went back down to the US Title after he left the WWE Title picture.

Agreed fully on Beth. She’s way better than she has been treated and hopefully she is given ample respect wherever she ends up. Just not TNA. Bruce Pritchard is a fuckhead.

Bonerfied on Finishing Maneuvers
“My point (other than Sheamus being a boring character and average in the ring) was that the finishing moves of today all want to be the “Stone Cold Stunner.”

Truth is, when I was growing up watching wrestling, I was always most impressed when guys performed devastating finishers or submission moves.

IWCers will flame me, but, I loved seeing a Jacknife Powerbomb, or a tombstone piledriver, or a Razor’s edge, or a Jackhammer, the list goes on… Every new wrestler comes into the WWE and are given a quick move where they don’t have to do anything too physically impressive. Hell, we have a SEVEN FOOT GIANT who punches people! He should throwing people around the the ring like rag dolls, but with the exception of a chokeslam, Big Show punches, kicks, chops, and sidewalk slams his way to a boring match every time.”

There is nothing wrong with having a preference. That’s what you’re describing. Anybody getting on your back for that is a dick. A lot of fans, including myself and a number of 411 readers, disagree with your assessment on Sheamus. He doesn’t suck, you just aren’t crazy about him. That’s cool.

I understand your thoughts on finishers. I will say, though, if you like devastating moves, why do you like the Jacknife? It’s one of the laziest and most unimpressive-looking moves in history. The Tombstone also isn’t that impressive nor is it high-impact. I’m with you on the Jackhammer and Razor’s Edge, but what’s wrong with Show’s KO punch? The idea is that he’s a million feet tall and weighs 6,000 pounds, his hands are the size of elephant cocks AND he trained to box in order to use his humongous size and strength to throw the most effective punch of all time. Just because his move isn’t throwing somebody from the middle of the ring into the 40th row ringside doesn’t mean it isn’t impressive. I got into this short form last week, but let’s go bigger.

Finishing Moves – 2012 WWE Roster
CM Punk – Go To Sleep (fireman’s carry dropping kneelift)
Sheamus – Brogue Kick (running pump kick/bicycle kick)
The Miz – Skull-Crushing Finale (full nelson facebuster)
Antonio Cesaro – The Neutralizer (crotch-hold falling facebuster)
Daniel Bryan – NO! Lock – (head-and-arm trap crossface submission)
Kane – Chokeslam
Alberto Del Rio – Cross Armbreaker
Big Show – WMD (knock-out punch)
Christian – Killswitch (double overhook inverted facebuster)
Cody Rhodes – Crossrhodes (rolling snap facebuster/neckbreaker)
Damien Sandow – Terminus (cross-arm neckbreaker)
Dolph Ziggler – Zig Zag (falling inverted bulldog)
Jack Swagger – Swagger Bomb (gutwrench falling powerbomb) / Ankle Lock
Jinder Mahal – Camel Clutch
John Cena – Attitude Adjustment (fireman’s carry slam)
Justin Gabriel – 450 Splash
Kofi Kingston – Trouble in Paradise (spinning enzugiri)
R-Truth – Little Jimmy (reverse STO)
Randy Orton – RKO (3/4 headlock falling cutter)
Rey Mysterio – 619 (rebound double-leg kick)
Ryback – Shell Shocked (running samoan drop)
Santino Marella – Cobra (throat thrust)
Sin Cara – Springboard flipping senton
Tensai – Double choke bomb
Wade Barrett – The Souvenir (pull-in elbow strike)
Zack Ryder – Rough Rider (jumping leg lariat)

Finishing Moves – 1997 WWF Roster
Steve Austin – Stone Cold Stunner (3/4 headlock chinbreaker)
The Undertaker – Tombstone (inverted piledriver)
Ken Shamrock – Ankle Lock
Ahmed Johnson – Pear River Plunge (double underhook powerbomb)
Mick Foley – Mandible Claw / Double-arm DDT
Goldust – Curtain Call (inverted lifting DDT)
The Rock – Rock Bottom (urinage back slam)
Vader – Vader Bomb (second-rope pump splash)
Shawn Michaels – Sweet Chin Music (superkick)
Hunter Hearst Helmsley – Pedigree (double underhook facebuster)
Farooq – Dominator (inverted facedrop powerbomb)
D’Lo Brown – Lo Down (sit-out spinebuster)
Sycho Sid – Powerbomb
Bret Hart – Sharpshooter
Owen Hart – Enzuigiri / Sit-out piledriver
British Bulldog – Running powerslam

The bottom line is that it really isn’t very different. You’re complaining based on perception, not actual fact. You miss powerbombs and jackhammers, but there are guys who do moves comparable to that. The same goes for most everything else that would likely be on your list.

Guest#2470 on Booking
“What’s amazing is that out of the 3 companies the one that seems to be the most entertaining and best booked is the one ran by Hogan & Bischoff. Cornette & Russo are polar opposites that’s why they are both equally bad without a filter.”

Oh. It was you who said Cornette and Russo are equally bad without a filter. Hi! Out of curiosity, can anybody tell me who is actually in charge of TNA’s creative right now? I don’t watch TNA outside of checking out clips on their Youtube, but it seems pretty good and everybody’s talking about it. I do think it’s fucking ridiculous that the main guys in charge of defending TNA’s honor are Hogan and Sting, though. What good does that do for anybody? Why can’t Hogan go away? He’s ALL OVER the damn show. He’s going to be the leader of Aces & 8s, by the way, if I haven’t mentioned that yet every week.

Guest#4537 on Sheamus Hate
“I think Sheamus is entering that area where the Cena backlash started. He constantly goes over everyone he feuds with, seriously, when was the last time someone actually pinned him? Coupled with a long reign which has been pretty uneventful since they moved him away from Bryan (I blame Del Rio here though) and that he’s got HHH pulling for him backstage, it all adds up to the net community hating him.”

He’s the World Champion — he should be beating everybody he faces. I wouldn’t blame ADR, it’s just shitty booking. You’re pretty on target, I think, with the Cena parallel as far as going from well-liked to significantly disliked, but I would not put it nearly on the same level in either case. I guess I do also see people complaining because Sheamus and Triple H are workout buddies. As a member of the IWC, who am I supposed to hate these days? Do we still hate Triple H? Who else?

Pope! Is Cool In My Book
“Sheamus rules man! He’s decent on the stick, has a good gimmick, everyone loves the fighting Irish, happy to defend his title against anyone and everyone! Keep the title on him and give him a decent heel to feud against!”
