Tough Enough Alum Says Interviews Were Scripted, Josh Was Pegged to Win

February 7, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– Dave Meltzer spoke with Tough Enough alum Tanner Saraceno and discussed the interview on Wrestling Observer Live. Meltzer said that according to Saraceno, all the sit-down interviews were scripted and WWE badly wanted Josh Bredl and Amanda Saccomanno (now Mandy on Total Divas) to win.

Saraceno said that the interviews were scripted to the point that he had to do multiple takes of one interview because he forgot to include a term that the producers asked him to use. He added that WWE would show every time that Josh did something well, put wouldn’t necessarily do the same with the other guys.

As for Amanda, they tried to do the same with her according to Saraceno, but they didn’t plan on Sara Lee becoming so popular and it backfired on them.

He noted that he was told he wasn’t hired after the show ended like ZZ and Amanda were because his promos weren’t good enough. He was told that he should make a name in MMA first. Saraceno makes his pro MMA debut next month.
