Update on The Change in Booking Direction For Rusev
May 25, 2017 | Posted by
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the angle of Rusev returning for a title match at MITB seems to have changed since Rusev hasn’t been mentioned the past two weeks on Smackdown; he was promoted as returning to confront Shane McMahon last week. The feeling is that decision on Mahal winning the WWE Title wasn’t finalized until two weeks ago, and Mahal has stated that he found out the day of the show. There were odds movements from people who got every match correct, starting on the Friday night before the show, so that may have been when the decision was made.
